Seere has decided to strike off over the land bridge that connects the islands to the shrine. Her first birthday is fast approaching and the monochrome girl has begun to explore further and further without any of her family with her. Paws crunch through the snow that dusts the landscape, each pawstep through the powdery stuff sending happiness zinging through her. She came across the bridge to play in this area of the Ashen Empire and to familiarize herself with the area. However, a scent pulls her attention away from the fun.

Pausing, Seere tilts her back and inhales, trying to figure out why it tugs at some distant memory. The sound of large paws crunching through the snow pulls her attention to the white barked, barren trees and her small body easily slips through the tree line. The sight of a massive bear moving through the landscape greets her mismatched eyes and the girl finally pulls up the memory of finding a predator with her Auntie Venom. She hesitates a moment, uncertain what to do but her Aunt’s words soothe the worry. These aren’t monsters but something that needs to be chased from their homeland.

Taking a deep breath, the girl launches toward the walking bear, determined to drive the beast away. Its head turns toward her and the bear shifts, turning its body in her direction and issuing an angry roar. Small body rushes toward it, mouth opening to bite at the tender flesh of one of its ankles. The bite is fast and Seere does not slow, does not stop, instead continuing to race around behind the bear as a huge paw follows her retreating form.


"Seere Abraxas-Destruction"

Kotori was patrolling, both the border of the territory, further inside to get used to all the sights and scents of his temporary home, and even slightly outside the boundary for any threats that were too near the territory.  A snarl erupted in his throat when he caught the scent of a bear that had actually got on the land! Kotori was running towards the scent of bear before he even put thought to it.  It was one thing when the bears were outside of the land you protect but an insult if they make it into pack turf.

Kotori saw the bear and the younger wolf that was charging toward it.  Kotori let out a sharp “Hey!” it was aimed at the bear but the one word could be thought either way.  The horned wolf had only wanted to pull the bear's attention away from the other wolf but it only flicked an ear at the wolf.  It would change its mind fast.

Kotori reached the bear, even as it swung a paw for the kid.  Kotori grabbed its other arm in his mouth, crunching down and shaking his head.  There was plenty of fur and thick skin in the way but he felt his teeth dig through flesh and the taste of blood and the feel of the muscle underneath.  Suddenly the kid was forgotten as the bear twisted its waist about, attempting to use its raised paw to strike Kotori instead.  The wolf wasn’t fool enough to let the paw hit him though, releasing his grip and moving out of the way.  Good, its attention was away from the kid now.

"Kotori Fatalis"

Seere races toward the bear, shifting to run around it, when a sharp voice cuts through the air. The barked, ‘Hey’ effectively pulls the angry creature’s attention away from smaller form for a moment, settling it on the tall earthen wolf that rushes head long into the fight. She feels the air behind her butt shift as a large paw barely misses her and the monochrome pup races around to the creature’s back end. Sparing a glance to the stranger who has the full ire of the bear, she decides that, since he has its full attention, Seere will take the part of annoying gnat and she darts in toward its back legs. She delivers several, quick, short bites to its legs before taking off to race back around to the front end.

"Seere Abraxas-Destruction"

Seere was proving bold enough to stay in the game and fight the bear.  Good.  She was old enough to fight a bear, at least if she had serious intent of being a fighter.  Not every child of ashen were fighters after all, though Kotori had no idea the exact blood of any one pup.  

The bear had started to lunge toward Kotori but grunted and hesitated by the child’s irritating snaps at it.   Kotori ran at the bear even as it started to turn its head, biting down in the same spot as before, crushing teeth in the already open wound, causing the blood to flow faster.  The bear swung his other arm at Kotori and the wolf had to let go again but only to swing about and bite into the other arm, though he only managed a nip before the bear tore free.

Kotori snarled at it and by the mighty roar the bear gave back Kotori smirked as it seemed a tad upset.  

"Kotori Fatalis"

The bear is angry, confused, and annoyed as the fight continues on, the earthen-hued male continues to holds the infuriated creature’s attention. Mismatched eyes look to the tall male, smirking when she notices that he seems to be enjoying facing this beast head on. Seere had been told her size and speed are her advantage so she does what her father told her to do… and runs. She dashes in and out, biting, snapping at the tender places around the bear’s ankles angering it, making it roar and hesitate in who it wants to attack. Yet, despite the pain and uncertainty, the huge bear does not give up and flee. No, the foolish grizzly chooses to stay and fight, swing a large, fat paw at the wolf who stood his ground.

Seere has to hand to the male wolf, he is unafraid, easily snatching the paw from the air to crunch it between his sharp teeth. Still, the grizzly does not flee. The monochrome girl darts away from fight, stopping a safe distance away to wheel about and face the standoff. The girl’s tongue lulls out of her mouth as she takes a moment to pant, her hot breath turning into clouds of steam as soon as they hit the cold air. Mind turns as she tries to figure out some way to get this crazy creature to turn tail and run. It has yet to show signs of wanting to leave and Seere needs to… encourage it along. Mismatched eyes search for any weakness on the beast and, when it stands to swipe at the earthen wolf, she finds it.

Being a male grizzly, she spies two very important things and immediately darts forward. Small body weaves in and out, rushing past the male wolf and in toward the standing the bear. There is no time to think, only time to act. The grizzly doesn’t realize that she is in his space, the unknown earthen wolf keeps its full attention. Seere is a blur as her body launches slightly upward, mouth opening only to close around some very important jewels… The bear’s eyes grow large and a rather indigent yelp, roar escapes its mouth as the small girl manages to make the mighty beast double over in pain. She has already released her hold on the soft tissue leaving a nice set of teeth marks in her wake. The bear stumbles sideways as it finally decides it might be time to flee. Paws turn away from the attacking pair as it begins to limp away.


"Seere Abraxas-Destruction"

Kotori snorted in amusement at Seere’s choice of where to attack, nice and low and in a sensitive area.  The bear doubled over and Kotori didn’t waste his chance.  No need to let the bear escape.  Kotori rushed in, biting at the bear's neck, letting go for just one second to bite in to get a better hold.  Kotori’s head thrashed about and the bear took a moment longer to try and get Kotori off.  Its muzzle aimed towards Ko and the wolf raised its head up so that its jaw met Kotori’s horns.

The wolf did leap back before the bear could get another chance and just waited.  As the bear turned to flee Kotori leaped up on top of it, ripping the neck open from the back end, feeling as if the bear was about to raise up again and Kotori hopped off but only to spin and grab for the neck again, ripping open the spot he’d previously bit.  

The bear didn’t die right away but it did start to stumble and weave about.  Kotori would follow it whether or not Seere came along, waiting to make sure the bear finally crashed, which it would do after a bit.
