He had led the way towards the cave he once called home. It wasn't too far, just on the other side of where he met Sirius. Heart hammered in his chest with equal parts nervousness and excitement. Were they really going to get his things back today? He didn't care if the bear lived or died during this endeavor. He just wanted his stuff. Anything else was of no importance to him at the moment. Amber gaze remained trained on the path he was taking. Noting that he was drawing closer and closer to their destination.

After some time, they arrived near the cave. Grimoire stopped several yards from the entrance, though remained out of sight just in case the bear was out and about. He knew little of the habits of a bear, so he had no idea if it was hibernating or not. "There," He said in a low voice, pointing with his muzzle towards the cave entrance. Already he could see scraps of fur on the ground, some of them were his, and anger bubbled up inside of him. "That damn beast better not have messed up my things!" He snarled, already ready to go rushing in there.

Seer followed after his new wolf. Determined not to let the man get hurt in this endeavour. He wasn’t so foolish as to forget how dangerous a bear could be. Concerned more for Grimoire than himself, he kept close to the other wolf as he led him the short distance to the cave that had been his home. Seeing Grim snarl, the Warlord raised a paw, gently slowing him down. “Hang on, lets get some intel first” he advised, and then nodded his head to Marshal, who glided slowly into the opening, keeping near the top of the cave. When Marshal returned and made gestures with his talons, the Warlord nodded his head and turned to Grim. “She’s asleep. Lets sneak in and startle her, try and usher her out of the cave. If we have to take her down we will, But i’d prefer to scare her off” he explained. "Speech"

He was ready to go in and retrieve his things now. But Sirius held him back. That was probably for the better because things could've gotten real ugly if he just rushed in there and tried to strong-arm a bear. He took a breath to calm himself. Normally he wasn't like this, but the fact that he had been chased from the only place he had called home and forced to leave his father's things behind just...angered him. He watched as Sirius sent in his bird companion, and it wasn't long before it came back out. “She’s asleep. Let's sneak in and startle her, try and usher her out of the cave. If we have to take her down we will, But I’d prefer to scare her off”

Grimoire nodded and got to moving. "We can go around this way. There's more cover on the left side that we can use to get closer. Once we're inside, there's some drapery on the left we can use if needed. Just be careful where you step, I didn't get a chance to clean up my tools before I was chased out." He wanted to take those, too. But he supposed it all depended on if they were successful in chasing the bear away long enough for him to collect his things. He led the way around the left side of the cave, keeping low as he slunk behind the rocks. He blended in easily enough with the earth, but if the bear happened to wake up and figure out they were there, then it would be a whole other story.

Luckily, as he got closer to the entrance, he didn't hear anything that indicated she had woken up. He glanced at Sirius for a moment before slipping into the cave where he quickly kept to the far left side that kept him mostly hidden behind the old sheets of cloth he had mentioned. It separated the main part of the cave and the workspace he had. He noticed there was a lot more clutter now since it looked like the bear had shuffled things around, but at least nothing appeared to be too damaged. Still usable...so that was something.

For now, he waited in silence for Sirius' cue to get things started.

Grimoire certainly knew the terrain better, and the Warlord took his direction as the other wolf indicated the way with the best cover. The Warlord nodded his head to show he understood, and gestured with his snout for Grim to take the lead (at least for now) once they got into the thick of it, the larger Warlord intended to take the brunt of it. Once they were behind the drape, they were in a position where it would be easier to get behind the bear. If they could usher her out of the cave, it would be better for them all. He took a moment to familiarise himself with the cave, and the obstacles on the floor. Knowing he would need to fight on and around them. Once he had the layout in his mind, he nodded to Grimoire. That done, he darted into action. Flying out from the curtain with a howl as he shot directly over the slumbering bear. Putting his back to the wall as he snarled threateningly at her. "Speech"

The warlord had joined him behind the veil, and once the large wolf got things into motion and got into position around the bear, Grimoire followed suit. The bear startled awake, bleary-eyed and confused as the two wolves stepped up to it. It rose to its feet, taking a step back as it swung its head, gaze darting between the two wolves. It growled, the sound bubbling up louder and louder as it sized up the intruders. Grimoire kept his eyes on her, taking a step or two to the side so that his back was to the wall and the bear couldn't go any further without a fight. He lunged forward, horns down and at the ready, daring the bear to approach. She swung a paw in warning, roaring afterward and shaking the cave walls as she did so. They just needed to chase her out...he just wanted to collect his things. If she was smart, she'd turn tail and run instead of trying to fight.

Whether Sirius forged ahead with an attack or not, Grimoire was already on the move. As the bear swung her paw, he darted forward and grabbed hold of it, getting in a good bite before she pulled it back from him and feigned a lunge towards him. The earthen male backed up a moment before darting to her side, opposite of Sirius. She wouldn't be able to keep her eyes on both of them, so he took the opportunity to score a few more hits on her shoulder as her attention was divided between the two.
