Dawn breaks and Keahi raises from her bed. Spring can be felt in the warmer air and the thaw that is melting what little snow is left but it is still too cold for the tropical born wolf. Her polar bear coat is pulled from its resting place and tied around her frame before the red woman pushes past the thin fur and out into the common area. For a moment, she looks to the empty den where Kotori had resided, hoping that the young Fatalis Prince has found happiness where ever he is. She moves out to where the fire pit blazes against the lightening sky and feeds a few more logs into it. Pausing to warm her paws, Keahi then turns to where the pathway that leads to first point light is and spies a familiar dark figure walking by.

A smile spreads across red lips as she quickly trots up to Sirius, giving him a small woof of greeting to let him know that she is coming and wishes to speak to him. Coming to a stop in front of him, Keahi offers the Warlord a warm smile as she says, “Good morning Sirius. Mind if I walk with you? There is something that I would like to discuss with you.” The red woman has been meaning to speak with the leader for several days but she never seemed to be able to catch the busy Warlord. Now that she has him, Keahi hopes to talk to him about taking on more responsibility in the pack. They are her family now and she wants to do as much as can to help them.


"Keahi Mogotsi"

As he made his way down to the heart of the pack, and saw the shape of a red toned wolf caring for the pack's central fire. Angling his direction towards her, he nodded his head on approach. “Keahi” He said warmly, smiling at the sight of her snug in the polar bear coat. “Of course Keahi. I’m just heading up to the First Light Point” he said, indicating with a paw for the younger wolf to join him. He waited until she was at his side, before walking forward again. Heading, as he had said, up to the watch point. “What can I help you with, Keahi?” he asked, his warm voice opening the floor for her to speak. "Speech"

Sirius sees her and offers the tropical wolf a warm smile which Keahi returns in kind with a few happy wags for good measure. Trotting up to the tall Warlord, he talks of heading up to First Light Point and indicates for her to join him. She easily falls into step with him, the pair moving side by side to the pathway that leads up the mountain. Questioning what he can help her with, the red wolf glances over to him as they walk and says, “I have been thinking and I would like to take on more responsibility in the pack. You all have become my hanai… urm… adoptive family. I am so grateful that you found me Sirius and I would like a chance to show the pack just how much I care about them.” Back in Keahi’s homeland, helping your family is one of the most important things in life. By requesting to take on more responsibility, the red wolf is showing just much she cares for the pack that has adopted her.

"Keahi Mogotsi"

Keahi mentioned taking on more responsibility, and he made a sound of acknowledgment as he placed careful paws on a slippery part of the pass. Making his way around it before he spoke again. “Your name comes up a great deal. Hunting predators, patrolling, building” he said, calling out some of the work she had done, “You’ve shown your willingness to put in the work, and I think you’d be a great candidate for a promotion.” He agreed, proud that she had put in the work, and then asked for it. “Did you have a rank in mind?” he asked as they made their way to the highest point of the trek, and he cast his eyes out past the point. "Speech"

They walk together and, as she talks about talking on more responsibility, the tall Warlord makes a sound of acknowledgment. A slippery part of the pass comes up and it has Sirius placing his paws carefully while Keahi simply allows her own to bounce from one sure spot to next. The tropical wolf has made an effort to walk this path every day and, because of that, has learned which spots are the best to walk on. The Warlord speaks of her works and the red woman bows her head in modesty, not needing recognition but appreciative that it has been noticed. Lifting her head, she looks to Sirius, a kind smile on her red lips as he says she is a great candidate for promotion.

Then comes the question about rank and Keahi hums softly for a moment as she orders her thoughts. The pair make it to highest point and Sirius casts his eyes out over the land while the tropical wolf folds her haunches and sits and allows her blue eyes to roam over the beautiful sight. After a peaceful moment, Keahi speaks up, “I would like to be a Diplomat for the Armada. I would like the opportunity to carry your messages from pack to pack and be an example of the what the Armada stands for.”

Exhaling slowly, blue eyes move to the Warlord as a gust of wind ruffles fur and coat alike and she offers him a confident smile while saying, “I can do this Sirius and I would like the opportunity to prove that I can.”


"Keahi Mogotsi"

After a moment, Sirius joined her. Sitting close to the younger wolf, and letting his body heat help warm her. The two wolves were content to sit in silence for a moment. Appreciating the sights and company. He had always found Keahi an easy wolf to spend time with. It would be wolves like her that would be the heart of the Armada once his long life came to an end. Lately, he had found himself thinking more and more of what he would leave behind. The rank she asked for was a step above her own. If she had asked for higher, he would have set up a challenge so that she could claim rightfully that she had earned it instead of simply being given it for the Warlord's appreciation of her. The rank she requested however was one he could give her immediately, and happily do so. “You would make an excellent Diplomat, Keahi. Consider yourself one from now onwards.” he would add, and tilted his head for a moment, considering. “Let’s give you a taste of the life. How would you feel about heading down to the Hallows and inviting Briar and Art to stay for a few days to see the new pack lands?” "Speech"

The Warlord sits with her, allowing his body heat to help to warm the tropical wolf. Keahi hums in appreciation as they enjoy the company and the view. Ah, but she had asked for a promotion. She lays out her request and Sirius agrees, immediately giving her the title. An appreciative smile is given to the Warlord and she waits as he tilts his head a contemplative look if she ever saw one. Sirius seems to have more up his sleeve and he soon lays out a task for her. A subtle smile appears before she turns serious and says, “I will be happy to. But I need some information. Where exactly is the Hallows? And, would you like me to escort them here or just come straight back after the message is delivered?” Blue eyes look to the tall Warlord, waiting for the necessary information.

"Keahi Mogotsi"

The Warlord barked out a truly genuine laugh. A few tears sprouted from his eyes in mirth that he wiped away. “Oh my” He said, as he bottled down on his amusement. “And here I naturally assumed everyone knew where the Hollows were. I forgot you came to us late, Keahi. You fit so well into the family” he explained. He could only laugh at himself, and the mistake that he had made. It was easy to lean on Keahi, and that made it hard to forget that her arrival was still a fairly new thing. “Have you ever been to the land bridge that leads to Auster? Once you're down there you need only look to the South-West and you’ll see their castle there. The leaders Briar and Artorias are my Daughter and Son in Law” He explained, making sure this time that he gave all the necessary information. "Speech"

Sirius barks out a genuine laugh and wide blue eyes turn to look up at the Warlord. Keahi’s face feigns shock but joy dances on the corners of her lips and eyes as she watches him wipe away some tears that have sprung to his eyes. As he works to bottle down his amusement, the red wolf teases, “You can laugh?” A wink is given to the leader as she adds, a little more softly, “You should laugh more often. It suits you.” The smile she gives is warm and kind, her words genuine. His next words have her chuckling and she gentle reminds him, “This is only my second season with the pack. But… it is my home.”

Another smile is given before Keahi settles in to listen, nodding to Sirius’s directions. Humming in thought for a moment, she then muses out loud, “I have been to Auster, that is actually where I uh… landed.” She sucks in a deep breath as memories raise to the surface. Taking a moment, she slowly lets out the air and calms her mind before continuing, “I actually have seen the castle and smelled a pack there. It is nice to have a name to associate with it.” The verbal talking through of things helps the tropical wolf to put labels on things that she pulls up her memory.

Once she is satisfied, Keahi looks back up to the Warlord, her gaze having drift to look out over to the landscape at some point and she asks, “Would you like me to wait and guide them back here? Or should I just deliver your message and come back?” This is the red woman’s first official task as a diplomat and she wants to do it right.

"Keahi Mogotsi"

His expression softened down again, letting the laughter fade away as they spoke. Her response had caught him by surprise, or rather his reminder of how new she was to Boreas. He let his eyes draw back to the wonderful view past the first light point and considered her newest batch of questions. “Delivering the message should be fine, unless they request a guide back here. They should know how to find us - but I’ve been wrong before” he flashed her another amused smile at that. “Then I'll find other reasons to get you to head to the other packs until you're familiar with them and their alphas” He explained. "Speech"

Blue eyes watch Sirius, a gentle smile is on her red lips as Keahi watches the Warlord, enjoying this softer side of the tall leader. But then it is back to business and he tells her to deliver the message and, at his next words, the tropical wolf gives a bright laugh and gentle shake of her head. Then he speaks of finding other missions to get know the packs and alphas. Sirius’s voice falls away and Keahi allows a comfortable silence to fall between them, gaze once more turning to enjoy the view. She appreciates the warmth that the Warlord freely shares with her and this pack that quickly became her family.

Silently, Keahi makes a mental checklist of things she will need to do before striking out to the southern lands. After some time, the red woman speaks up, saying, “Well… you better start figuring out other things for me to do because I will be home before you know it.” Ocean blues look to the older Warlord and she offers him a warm smile. With a bow of her head, Keahi excuses herself to begin preparing for the trip.


"Keahi Mogotsi"
