Kotori had been all over the landscape it felt like recently. He had spent time in Ashen and got to know Venom better while offering her assistance and improving their ties to one another. From there he had gone back home and spoke with his father.
It was now official. Kotori was no longer a member of the Armada. Dad had given him his blessing on Kotori’s idea to get a pack of his own. He’d even offered his aid wherever Kotori might need it. Kotori knew the land of Boreas well but he had never been here. The scent of the Abaven members was still fresh but it appeared they had broken ways.
Kotori howled a call out long and wide, let those still close and those far know that a claim was being placed on this land. Another Fatalis would rule a portion of the land and he’d make sure the world took note. Walking about the area Kotori continued exploring the area. If this was to be his generic knowledge would not be enough.
Would anyone challenge his right to this?

Corbie had finally gone to where Ardyn had told her Abaven was. She'd been looking forward to meeting Theory, the alpha he'd told her of, and learning more about her school. About what they taught, how they taught it, how they ran the logistics, she just had so many questions and had only thought of more as she'd made her way there.
But the pack boundaries were all but gone, the pack lands empty.
She'd stood there, troubled, trying to listen. She'd started out this journey not understanding what pack life really meant, but she'd learned along the way. She knew, now, that this wasn't normal. Not for any pack, but especially not for a school. The school should be bustling, children laughing and playing, and learning. The pack boundaries well kept up and patrolled to keep the precious students safe.
This place felt dead.
A sudden call startled her, like the ghost of the pack. But no, it was just someone calling to claim what had been left behind. It saddened her that someone could just so casually call out in demand of a pack that had, if Ardyn had told true, been so good. She wanted to see who would call back the ghosts of the pack, and set out to where the call came from. Perhaps they would be bringing Abaven back to what it had once stood for.
But when she came upon the male who had called, she stood silently, a frown furrowing her brow. Unless there were two identical males in this world, and the Kotori Fatalis of Armada that Ardyn had described had a twin brother, this was the very male who she had said she'd be avoiding. Now that she was here, though, she found she couldn't just walk away. A bullying bastard, claiming the pack that had stood for such good? It wasn't fair. It wasn't right.
"No," she spoke firmly, loudly enough for him to hear. "Abaven was a place of honor, not of blood. You will not be building another war pack on the ashes of this school. You will have to go through me first. Kotori Fatalis, I claim this pack."

Gossamer was scouring the east for her missing healer's pack. She'd been partaking in the market, selling a few of her own extra gatherings of peppermint, when it had mysteriously gone missing. Ásta had spied a hawk and tracked its course eastward. In terms of quantifiable value the pack could afford to be missed. Everything she had had in there was surplus to trade but the fact that it had been given to her by her parents made it special and that anyone would steal it infuriated her.
After finding a replacement for her guard duties she struck out, following any signs that she could find, her companions at her heels. She stopped in her tracks when she heard her brother Kotori howl, staking a claim on nearby lands. Confusion contorted her face. When had he decided to leave the Armada and start his own pack? Gossamer hesitated for a moment then turned to find the source of the call. She could continue to hunt for her bag later.
She arrived to see an unfamiliar woman standing against her brother. She hadn't heard the words exchanged and simply called out to Kotori. "Kotori, what's going on? You mean to leave the Armada?" A myriad of emotions tumbled through her chest. Pride and awe at him striking out on his own like Briar had, but sorrow at another of her siblings leaving. Another gap she would have to contend with.

An early spring rain had lured Álarr farther eastward. Here the lands were beginning to stir beneath winter's grasp and stretch forth toward the sun. He'd already learned of Abaven's disbandment after arriving to join only to find nothing of the pack remaining. All the same, as there were vacant dens it made a convenient place to rest mid-travel. He'd been headed back toward a temporary den at the rapids when he heard a challenge ring out. Well, shit. He supposed it couldn't last forever.
Álarr swiftly gathered up his things before curiousity lulled him to the source of the challenge. There was an unfamiliar male facing off against Corbie, a young woman he barely knew. The third wolf smelt of the Armada and between her scent and the boys it didn't take him long to connect the two to Sirius. He supposed seargent-stick-up-the-ass would be arriving any moment.

The existence of the pack that would be sharing a border with them as they expanded out their borders had been a constant topic in their discussions about claiming the Firefly Lake and now, just as they officially began to mark the borders and make it theirs, Abaven was gone. It had her distinctly curious about the absence of the pack that had seemingly been so well established not all that long ago and she was poking around just past the border of her own pack when she heard a howl to lay claim to the land. It brought back the memories of her own challenge for the pack that had once stood in the north—none of the memories particularly pleasant ones. Still, she was curious about who had come to pick up the pieces of the former pack, especially if there was a chance that they would take up residence here and be the new neighbor to her own.
She strode out toward the call and when she arrived she saw that she wasn't the first to get here. A smaller, monochromatic woman had faced off against a tawny fellow with horns protruding from his brow. A couple of other wolves had begun to gather as well, one seemingly on either side. It took her a moment to connect the memory, but she remembered Gossamer from attending their festival and she quickly made the assumption that the male must be part of Sirius' brood as well. Well, she was friendly with Sirius and the Armada at the very least so she supposed that was as good a reason to side with the male and give him a bit of a show of support. If nothing else she'd rather have him as a neighbor than the other woman who she had no connection or interest in.
She approached just in time to hear Gossamer call to her brother and question him about what was going on and she smirked slightly, settling on her haunches with a graceful brush of her tail to curl it around her paws. "Perhaps we save the questions until after the fighting is done, darling," she said with a soft chuckle, keeping Gossamer company while she wondered if Sirius would appear eventually as well.

Tove is wandering nearby, getting the lay of the soon-to-pack lands when Kotori’s call rings out. Scarred head lifts lips tugging upward as the young alpha lays claim. She scents the air, a frown tugging at her lips back downward as she finds an unknown wolf on the breeze. Lips pull back in a silent growl as she glides toward the challenge area.
She arrives in time to hear the monochrome wolf’s attempt to lay claim and Tove gives a great roll in her direction. Little shit doesn’t even what they are about and yet she is going to pass judgement without facts. Oh well, Kotori will just have kick her butt. The scarred nebula wolf moves to join the other spectators and notices a female that tries to call out to her brother.
She bites down the urge to tell her shut up and, thankfully, a tall people woman moves up next to the stranger and suggests they save their questions. A grateful smile is offered to the purple wolf before she moves to settle on her haunches near the tall antlered male. Tove spares him a glance, a small twitch of scarred lips is the only greeting she gives before turning her attention to Kotori and the stranger.
After the bear attack, talking has been difficult for her so she simply grunts her approval to Ko and nods at him.
Tove is heavily scarred on her face, neck, and shoulders. Please note that none of her art depicts them but they are there.
