this sand isn't warm

_________________________________________________________________ As spring came around the corner and Audra followed Wren back toward Armada borders, she wondered when it would warm up. Already, she missed the seemingly permanent warmth of the south and hoped the chill rolling off the water wouldn't stay long. Clouds covered the sky, masking any warmth the sun would give, and opened up to pelt the earth below. Standing along the mountainous edge of the beach, she watched the waves roll in and out. Shivering lightly to keep herself warm, one would find her companion, Mack, dutifully standing on her right side to act as a seeing guide. Admiring the beauty of the beach during the spring rainfall, she wondered when others of Wren's following or even an Armada wolf would show up. _________________________________________________________________ A U D R A

Levi liked it here more than he did the cavernous Col. Though the weather was still too cold for his liking the scenery was better, the rolling waves and towering cliffs gave this place a sense of privacy. The closest he could get to being alone without venturing from pack territory, or at least that's how it was supposed to be till he noticed a familiar face. One that as far as he was concerned shouldn't be here. His eyes roamed the beach, to the trail she'd left in the dark sand and he took a moment to breathe deep, noting she'd been here a little while. That her scent permeated the area.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, swift and to the point, accusation edging in his tone.
He'd wanted to have a look around but that thought was tossed aside for now, not till he got to the bottom of this.

_________________________________________________________________ Staring out at the rolling waves nearly lulled her to sleep. Exhaustion and worry traced the edges of her expression as she leaned into Mack. Thankfully they were similar in size! Letting out a sigh, her ears perked as the sound of pattering paws moved along the beach. Once more, Mack's purple crystal-encrusted canines flashed until he saw the fanged youngster approaching. Audra, being Audra, smiled at the boy even though he shot her an accusatory stare and sharp words. "C-care to explore th-the beach?" She requested with a tilt of her head. Waiting only a moment, she stepped forward and made her way closer to the water. Unlike the other beaches in Boreas, this one had a jagged shore as if something took a bite out of it. "I-I'm here t-temporarily," Audra finally replied, glancing back briefly to ensure the yearling was following her. "I n-normally belong t-to the Hallows, b-but I'm no longer s-sure of my path," her words are full of sorrow, but she doesn't allow it to deter her mood any more than it had been. _________________________________________________________________ A U D R A

She was here temporarily? What was that supposed to mean? He knew of the Armada's alliance with the Hallows, but were they truly so close they were allowed to come and go as they pleased? It didn't sound right to Levi and his brows furrowed in thought. Then again it was obvious she'd settled a bit here, if she wasn't supposed to be here then she wouldn't be, would've been chased off some time ago. She wanted to explore, huh? He supposed he could follow suit, even if only to keep an eye on her once more.
"Sure, whatever." He agreed, none too kindly as he took to looking around once more.
The waves were dark, he could barely see the bottom as he peered down, his nose wrinkling. The water wasn't murky or dirty, it was simply a result of the black sand, the water dyed black like the night sky. He got the sense this place didn't get much foot traffic and he could see why, it was remote, cornered off where loners probably didn't tread all too often. Good, all the more reason for him to like it then.

_________________________________________________________________ The boy's attitude may have been off-putting to someone else, but Audra chose to ignore it. He wasn't being aggressive and from the appearance of his form, he couldn't be more than a year old. Perhaps his sour outlook on life would evolve into something brighter. Not that she blamed him. Adult life so far hadn't been the best for her and when she thought about it, she really should be the sour one in the situation. Looking down at the murky water, she sighed. Might as well try to be his friend if he was going to be the only one who showed up. "Do y-you like exploring?" She asks softly as she turns parallel to the water. Walking down along the shoreline, glancing at the jagged ins and outs of the beach, she glances over at the boy. Oddly enough, he had similar markings to Sirius. She wondered if they were related? A question for another time. _________________________________________________________________ A U D R A

There wasn't much plant life scattered about, but the few bits of foliage there was had to be a hardy sort. Able to deal with the relentless cold of the north. This place sent him mixed messages, it was a beach so he wanted it to be warm, but it just wasn't. Almost didn't fit in with the roughish nature of northern Boreas. Like it had been plucked right from the south, plopped here without a thought or a reason. Either way he padded along, stepping a little closer to the water to allow the waves to roll over his paws. Chilly but not unbearable.
"I guess" He told her with a shrug, it wasn't something he really set out to do. It just sort of happened.
