Experience told him that eventually patrols would go back to being mundane, dutiful things, but after so long away it brought him happiness every time he transversed the border between his pack and the rest ofghe world. HIS pack. His to lead, his to protect. But he had seen how fragile his own existence was, and the pack depended so strongly upon a clear leadership. In the time he had failed to do so, it had all bunfallen apart. If something happened, if he died after all, he needed to leave the pack with a sense of continuity. Ideally he would leave it to his own heir... But as Abraxas had not yet seen fit to craft him some spawn from the dust at his paws and he had not put in the effort to aquire a mate yet, he had no heir. But he himself had not been his father's heir - Pyrrhic was. After all that he had put his brother though... Perhaps it was fitting that he had decided to make Pyrrhic's remaining child heir to the pack Pyrrhic himself had been destined to lead.
It was such introspection that occupied him, as Eligos left the land at the edge of the ravine to follow the border where it continued into the lakelands.

Habari could suck eggs at this point. It wasn't her fault they couldn't keep an eye on one single wolf, especially one they had made a huge deal about punishing for ignoring the rules. Medusa was at her breaking point with them, and she wasn't afraid of what they might do to her anymore. Why? Well, she had two new friends at her side who promised they'd help her. Her protectors, they said. The unusually colored cougar with the black and silver fur and the pretty green eyes, and a wolverine that looked just like her with eyes of burning fire. She had been in front of her den that morning when memories of the girl she had salvaged the dead guy with crossed her mind. Havoc, wasn't it? Didn't she say she lived nearby? Medusa didn't know anything about the packs other than Habari and a tiny bit about Armada thanks to Wren, but her new companions knew where Havoc's pack was, so Medusa made a beeline straight for it. It took her the better part of a day, but the borders were in sight and she could smell the fresh scent of water from the lake they claimed. She made her way to their borders, but remembered it probably wasn't a good idea to just walk right in to look for Havoc no matter how badly she wanted to. Really, she didn't want them to be mad at her when all she wanted to do was see her friend! As she got closer, the dark feline muttered something about someone being nearby, and when Medusa stopped and looked around, she spotted a really big guy with some cool twisty horns and she was fascinated! She made her path straight towards him, stopping as close to the border as she could get without crossing it. "Hello! Medusa is looking for Havoc! Is she here?" She quipped, tail wagging with excitement as her head bobbed a bit in her usual fashion, though her eyes never stopped roaming over the male or his horns. |

Whatever he might have expected for his patrol, what he found was not onthe list. A grungy, feral wolf reeking of Habariand flanked by a dark shadow of a feline, she chirpily asked him on site about whether Havoc wasthere. Havoc? Who? It took him a moment to make the connection to one of Paradise's pups, and as soon as he did his confusion and wariness depended. What did this creature want with an Aerie fostering? "I would imagine she is," he indicated cautiously. Well, the best way to settle what this was about was to have the girl herself here, and the grubby Habari wolf could hardly do her harm with him here, so with a murmered "a moment please", he lifted his muzzle and called out for the youth to join them. "What is it you want with the girl?" he asked as the call echoed.

Oh good! He was going to call Havoc for her! She sat down to wait, dual-toned gaze occasionally looking from the pretty horned guy to the lands past him as she kept a look out for her friend. Likewise, her companions settled down to wait, too. Then he asked her what he wanted with her and her ears perked up in excitement and her tail set to wagging. "Havoc helped Medusa pull someone out of the swallowing sand, and now we're best friends, so Medusa came to see where she lived and if she wanted to go and do something!" Of course, she didn't think that mentioning the guy was dead and the fact they had pretty much gutted him so she could take his bones was all that important. Also, she was here because she didn't want to be in Habari...or around them, so the best excuse she had was to come and see her skeletal marked counterpart! |
As her mate and *ahem* protective detail, Erebos may crash her threads at anytime!
Please note: Medusa is a wildcard! While she is mostly kind, friendly, and eager to help, she can equally be cold, aggressive, and eager to murder you depending on how you treat her! She refers to herself and often, others, in the third person (illeism), and occasionally has tics due to her Tourette's and may giggle and laugh at random, and may twitch here and there. She is a blood & gore type of character, and is not above killing, maiming, or other such violent actions if she's given a reason to do so. It's often in your best interest to not cross her or get on her bad side. Ya never know what she might do c:
