Who would have guessed it
Ricin

Chade had finished hunting for the day. The young reindeer he’d brought in may not be the size of a mature adult but there was still plenty of meat on it. Swift, his cheetah, had done her part as well capturing two rabbits, one of which was now gone.
He had already skinned the pelt, the ligaments had been dried out and he was working at fraying them apart to make into fine solid strings that he’d be able to use for a cord to stitch the ends of the pelt to several blocks of wood to keep the pelt off the ground. It would be a bed one could lay in that would never touch the earth by a few inches.
He already had another pelt rolled up to one side that would become a second bed. One for him and one for Ricin. Might as well make use of what they had after all. Chade glanced about their den, and while it was still perfectly fine on space for the two wolves it had seemed to shrink a bit. They had been under a year old on first arriving here but the seasons were passing, and spring was in the air. In two more seasons, the kids would be full-grown adults.
Working in the quiet den it was pleasant to think back on all they had achieved. The fears and pains of childhood that seemed inescapable faded with all the memories that had come after. It seemed as if all the bad stuff were a lifetime ago instead of almost a year ago. Swift was outside of the den and CHade heard her chirp when she noticed Ry heading their way.

To say Ricin is excited would be an understatement. The young boy has been given more responsibility lately in the form of teaching some of the others in the pack. His newest task is to give a lesson to some of the hunters and, while he is extremely excited, the lighter boy also has no clue what he can teach them. However, he does know who to ask.
White-dipped paws lope toward the brothers shared den, Ricin’s enthusiasm to pick his brother’s brain for ideas bleed over into quick pace. Swift, Chade’s companion, spots the happy boy and chirps a warning to the darker brother, knowing that Ricin can often break Chade’s concentration. Shooting the cheetah a joyful grin, Ricin slows his pace as he ducks into their den.
Crimson eyes quickly sweep their den (is it getting smaller?) and he spies his darker half, barking out cheerfully, “Chade! Can I ask you a question?” Ricin finally notices that his brother is working on something and he carefully sidles up to Chade, cooing in interest as he asks, “What are you making?” Looking from Chade to his work, the eager boy is barely able to contain his wiggles of excitement.
