Double time? Triple time?

There are pros and cons of both triple time and double time. Ala currently runs on triple time and there have been more talks of changing that here lately? Should we? Vote above and let us know. If you need to see both sides...here are some pros and cons.
Triple time
pros:pups grow faster, generations progress, familial ties increase faster.
cons: favorite characters die faster, threads seem to take longer, less gets done.
Double Time:
Pros:More time for threads meaning more threads within' a time period. Play your favorite characters longer.
Cons:Pups age slower (6 months before challenge age)
Feel free, anyone, to comment if you have more to say.

We run on triple time right now and I enjoy that. Not only does it give a solid month for a season, but it means pups grow faster, and people have a hard time playing pups at the moment anyway. Not to mention if we went by double time, it means more waiting for the pups and for females to be in heat. To me it seems just like a hassle. I'm impatient as it is, and to wait longer? That'd be hell. I don't see how there is a problem with the triple time right now? But, it looks like double time is winning anyway -.- oh well.

I prefer double time, in all honesty. Time is simply passing far too fast for the speed of some of the threads, challenges, and judgings. Even at the height of your activity it at times feel like there's very little that you can do. I don't see the aging of pups as a problem--nobody says that you have to wait until they are a year old to play them and run around and wreck havoc with them. Actually, it would benefit you more to get the posts and gems before they hit a year if you plan on challenging a pack with them. Pups may be harder to play, but you never improve by continuously doing easy things.
And also, on the times for judging. That is especially, especially bad for triple time with death matches. Over a month (which is over a season long ICly) is a ridiculous time for your character and potentially a pack (or two) to be in limbo. I feel like with our adjustments to the default times and just the ones we have set in general, double time would fit the site much better.

prone to violent reaction. ic actions have ic consequences and she lives and breathes it.
public enemy #1
crawl. crawl more. drag your hands and knees across the destruction left in my wake to the ends of the earth. there's a green light of a shining star in my sky and there will not be an obstacle i will not overcome until i cup that star in my palms. the void in my will has been filled with purpose. so crawl. crawl more, love.

Here's a big YES to switching to double time.
Issues I see with our current, too-fast system:
- Many people neglect to play their pups. Realistically, much of a human child's personality comes about what they are children. We don't have enough true character development; suddenly chars are adults and they have full-fledged personalities, without having talked to hardly anyone besides parents/siblings.
- Ala is more of a slow site. Whether you like it or not, people often take days or even weeks to reply. At the current rate of posting, we are way better suited to slowing things down.

Double time would be a nice change - but I don't think it would suit the breeding system we have going @___@ people would wait longer for their characters to be in season and even longer for pups to be played and even longer for pups to grow into adults.
Although with the current influx of puppies that may be a good thing...

I accidentally voted triple time because I thought that was the slower one. I'm very tired >.> but my actually vote is to slow it down to double time. Triple time is alright but yes Ala is a slower site and I'm one of those slower posters and I hate having more then one thread going for my characters at a time because chronologically it messes me up. So my vote is a defiantly YES to changing to double time!!!

I'm for double time because as stated numerous times.. a lot of Ala people don't respond daily and when you take four+ days to respond a thread can quickly stretch to a month real time which is an entire season in Ala time.
I also like double time because of pack meetings. Meetings are necessary and required, and sometimes it can take two Ala seasons just to get a meeting wrapped up and finished.
I realize it'll take longer for pups to age, and longer for them to be able to challenge but I personally see this as a pro. I think we're lacking in character development which is crucial to keeping a character long-term, and this will remedy that because we'll get more opportunities to allow our characters to grow and develop at a more comfortable pace.

I like triple time. It's one of the reasons I've thoroughly enjoyed Ala so much, and one of the things that I feel makes it so unique. I don't like having pups for long; yes, you should play pups more to develop them, but honestly if somebody isn't going to play a pup they're not going to play them. It doesn't matter what time period we're using.
I'm also uncertain why it matters how long it takes a thread to wrap up, unless that thread is a crucial one like a pack challenge, where you really cannot play the character after the thread until you know the results. Liquid time is great! I get wanting to know thread results asap, but like with pups, double time wont' push people to reply faster. Threads that take 1 ooc month to finish will still take a while (2 ic months or so) to finish.
This all is probably pointless because double time is winning, but just thought I would state my piece xD I like a faster paced site, I like how Ala's seasons progress, and I like triple time in general. I'll probably be rather sad if it's changed, but majority rules so xD

I vote double time. Why? Because it is true time progresses way too fast, and any plots that were plotted or made that begin IC end up either dying or not happening because whoever you're trying to plot with takes forever to reply and then you end up plotting with someone else because the previous took too long. Make sense? ok.
Also, even though it will take longer for pups its not a bad thing. That's how they develop character, personalities, friendships, discover who they are via interaction with others, and you can get them posts and gems while you wait for them to grow up which can benefit should one decide to challenge for a pack or whatever. It's never a bad thing to start early. ;)
I honestly hate the fact that Ala is moving too fast because the charries/threads/meetings/people don't move as fast. Not everyone is on every single day at every waking hour to keep up and wrap a thread up in a single day. Often it takes a few days to weeks to a month or more to wrap up a single thread because you know, people have lives outside of the site too therefore threads will take a while to close up and finish..same for plots. Besides, I think 30 days for a season in game is just too short...a season passes too quickly and before you know it its done. I dun like that.
Please change it to double time, Ala would be a lot better off slower then it is now. Though that doesn't always mean its gonna be painfully slow, just slower then it is now because its just too fast the way it is >.>

My vote is for double time. OOC life things happen and it makes it impossible for us to post daily or even weekly sometimes. But if you don't try to keep up to that daily posting speed then threads fall behind and die because they're seasons behind IC.
Also, I don't think the having to wait longer for females to be in season or the pups growing up slower is a problem. Making people wait longer to have pups makes actually getting to have them all the more exciting. Also, we've been having SO many pups lately that it's beginning to become impossible to get players for them.
Anywayyyy, that's my vote :3
