Her time in Habari was nearing its end. Or so she hoped. She still didn't know when she was getting out or...if she ever would, but it had to be someday, right? Until then, she continued doing what she did and that was not sticking around as much as possible. Habari didn't deserve her, and she was firm on that! So instead, she took off to hunt and had come across the trail of a deer. She was following the tracks for maybe an hour or so when she caught flashes of lightning that were maybe only a couple of miles away, and her ears fell flat against her crown as she felt the first fat raindrop fall from the sky. She wasn't keen on getting stuck out here or losing her prey. Surely the rain would wash away the scent trail if she wasn't quick, right?

Sending one of her companions ahead, Medusa loped along as the storm above brewed stronger. Lightning and thunder split the heavens above, and suddenly there was a torrent of rain falling upon the earth. Luckily, she spotted her target at the same time the rains started, and she considered herself incredibly lucky. It was likely the deer would try to find shelter, so while using the cover of rain, she rushed at it.

Medusa was sure she was about to have a nice big dinner, but the mud beside the river had quickly turned slick with algae and the rain, and she was sent tumbling to the ground. The deer looked up but saw nothing. Thanks to Medusa's incredible luck (again), she had managed to slip and slide into the cover of some driftwood that helped her blend in better. It started to move, and a now slicked-down Medusa huffed in frustration as she righted herself, paws threatening to slip out from under her again. But then she remembered she was wearing her claw covers, and an idea struck her! Surely she could use those for better traction in this mess, right? Carefully, she tested it out, claws curving into the ground as she took a step, then another, and another. Yes! This would work! With a mischievous grin, she crawled towards her target. Though she had to admit this wasn't easy. She was going painfully slow...and the rain was making her very, very cold really fast and her knees were shaking and her teeth were chattering and the downpour of rain made it more difficult to see!

When she was just a few short yards away, the deer spotted her and spooked. Growling, Medusa tried to give chase but the faster she tried to go, the more she began to slip and slide again. The deer seemed to have a better advantage, and before she knew it, she saw nothing but a white flag disappear beyond the trees. Safe to say she wasn't getting dinner tonight...

"Medusa"

Please note: Medusa is a wildcard! While she is mostly kind, friendly, and eager to help, she can equally be cold, aggressive, and eager to murder you depending on how you treat her! She refers to herself and often, others, in the third person (illeism), and occasionally has tics due to her Tourette's and may giggle and laugh at random, and may twitch here and there. She is a blood & gore type of character, and is not above killing, maiming, or other such violent actions if she's given a reason to do so. It's often in your best interest to not cross her or get on her bad side. Ya never know what she might do c:
