Kotori was enjoying a meal, just a small rabbit but it was satisfying all the same. When the bear lumbered up it eyed Kotori and his meal, clearly deciding if it wanted to push its luck.  Kotori glanced at his meal then up at the bear.  Did he want to try ignoring the bear and finish his lunch or kill the bear and then eat his lunch?

The bear kept coming towards Kotori and the wolf imagined he had his answer.  Kotori stood over his kill, snarled, and when the bear didn’t turn around Kotori ran a the grizzly.  The bear rose up to stand tall.  Kotori leaped up, biting the lip, tearing off some skin, and letting go before the bear could get revenge.  

"Kotori Fatalis"

Keahi lays near the hot pools of water, mind drifting lazily along as her eyelids slowly march downward. Homesickness has lodged itself firmly in her heart and, as her lids close, her island homeland bursts to life in front of her closed eyes. The vibrant flowers call to her and she can even smell the sulfur filled air around the volcanos. A tear slips free and slides down her cheek, mingling in the red fur on its path to the ground as she walks the paths of Hawai’i once again.

Suddenly, a loud snarl rips the red wolf from her daydream and causes her to, mournfully, open her eyes. With a sigh, she gathers her legs under herself and stands, a heavy sadness lingering around Keahi as she moves to find the source of the noise. She half expects to find Kotori fighting something. The roar of a grizzly and Kotori’s scent affirms her suspicions and the red woman shakes her head while a smile grows on her lips. What better to get rid of the blues then to fight a dangerous predator?

Legs churn as Keahi races toward the fight, silently appearing behind the mad bear. She trusts Ko, has fought with him enough to be able to read him and, because of this, she rushes in to harass the creature’s hindquarters. Her goal is to get the bear to try and turn to face her so that Kotori is left with an opening to attack its neck. However, she is also ready for the bear to completely swing toward her if Kotori wishes to take backend. Either way, Keahi is ready.


"Keahi Mogotsi"

At this point, Kotori wasn’t all that surprised to see Keahi.  She certainly made her way around the landscape these days.  Regardless of why she was so often about the fact was she was once again here to help kill a bear.  It was apparent she was succeeding in getting the bear's attention as well.

When the bear's attention went to Keahi it turned its head and its shoulders for a second.  Obviously, it was a dumb bear.  Lunging in Kotori tasted the fur and some of the flesh that came from the bear’s neck, but there was too much skin and too little muscle beyond the skin.  The bear quickly spun back to face Kotori, mouth opening wide and hand coming in this time to try and grab at the wolf.  

Kotori twisted his head sideways, horns stabbing at the paw, teeth snapping in the air with a warning at the muzzle coming at him.  The large bear wasn’t worried about Kotori’s teeth compared to his own and was now all the more pissed off.  Kotori was forced to back peddle, weight shifting to his haunches as he avoided the bear’s teeth.  Still, it wouldn’t want to put the weight down on that front paw again, nor would it have a choice but to do so.  It roared at him and Kotori snarled back at it.

The bear wasn’t giving enough attention to the wolf behind him now.

"Kotori"

The grizzly shifts its attention to Keahi, which gives Kotori an opening. He takes it, opening a small wound on the side of the bear’s neck and, once more grabs the ire of the beast. The red woman shifts backward, moving silently around the grizzly’s side to get into a better position. As Ko uses his horns to stab the paw that comes toward him, Keahi tenses, sensing that an opening is coming.

The creature stretches its neck to try and bite the earthen male and the red wolf is there to seize the opportunity. Launching at the exposed neck, the red woman opens a deep, wide wound that gushes blood at an alarming rate. However, she is forced to retreat before she can give the killing blow as the bear turns to try and bite her. Oh well, next time. Red paws carry a safe distance away as she readies to kill the grizzly.

"Keahi Mogotsi"

Kotori didn’t have to worry about the bear getting a chance for vengeance.  It was no more than a moment after his attack finished that Keahi ran in to attack the bear.  Kotori saw the blood staining the bear's dark coat and even leaking out to the ground, turning the green grass red.

The bear had turned to attack Keahi, aiming for revenge.  Stupid bear should have run.  Then again, it wouldn’t have been able to escape so maybe hoping to injure its attackers before death was its best option.  

When its bite to Keahi missed it started to rear up part way planning for a crashing attack on her.  Kotori ran in, sinking his teeth where his bottom teeth connect with the bear's belly and the bear’s own momentum as it crashes down helps rip off a large amount of flesh.  More blood is spilled and with all the damage the wolves have caused the bear is clearly slowing down.

"Kotori Fatalis"

The grizzly is doomed and, when one of the wolves retreats, the other is there to deal more damage. Keahi opens the wound in its neck further before moving away and, Kotori suddenly appears to strike at its belly. Confusion, pain, and anger paint the bear’s features and the red woman knows that she must end this quickly or it will only get more dangerous.

Spinning back to where it stands, red paws carry her to and under the hulking creature. Muscles coil and release, sending her red form up to where the jagged cut rests. Teeth find their mark as she latches on and allows gravity to pull her down. Once her back paws hit solid ground, Keahi shoves all her body weight backward and opens a fatal wound.

Backing away, the grizzly gurgles, lurches sideways and stumbles a few steps. Keeping a safe distance, Keahi follows the bear, making sure it passes into the afterlife as quickly as possible. A few more blood painted steps and the bear crashes to earth, flailing for a few moments more moments before finally stilling… forever more. Turning her blue gaze to Ko, the red wolf flashes him a smirk and gives him a shake of her head before moving to join him.
