long walks through dragon's blood

Gilgamesh wondered if Sparrow enjoyed causing him pain. While the idea of scouting other packs for raids was a splendid idea, he wasn't exactly roaring to walk anywhere anytime soon. Likewise, he wouldn't miss his chance at helping the pack out and wounding his own pride. The north would've been more appealing in his mind (no reason for visiting the Armada at all), but he took his small group south nonetheless. He would have taken them east, but with Abaven abolished and having just recently raided Habari (who also was now on the rocks with a challenge??), it left Ashen to the east.
While the Empress led pack was enticing as he hadn't much interaction with their quiet group, Gil's thirst for revenge beat out his curiosity. So with Eden, Ares, and Artisan in tow, he took them south of Boreas, over the Bifrost, and into Auster territory. Having requested Eden bandage up his still-healing limb as tightly as she could, the lanky man hobbled along at as steady of a pace as he could manage. Skirting around Hallows and Fenmyre lands, Gil wondered when their scents expanded past the plains and dam. Noting the discovery so that he could bring it back to Sparrow, he continued escorting them farther south.
Without revealing his intentions of who they were going to scout, Gil could feel the hunger gnaw away at his belly. The last time he had been down this far south had been with Pyralis to cause some trouble. Light-hearted, fun trouble, mind you. Taking their time and pausing frequently, he could finally begin to scent the pack in question as they traveled through Dragon's Blood Grove. Almost a wasteland of bare trees and red dirt, Gil paid no mind to their surroundings until tall, green stalks began to pop up along the territory's edge. Bamboo that grew tightly together and hid the wolves that lived within, Gil paused at the border.
Sticking to a grassy area in the middle of a clump of dragon's blood trees, Gil looked at the group. "For any who do not know, the bamboo houses Hattori's pack, Tojo-kai. The same man who used to rule beside Venom in Ashen. We're here to scout for some intel on what they could be hiding in there," he finally turned his yellow eyes toward the entrance that lay not far off. They would have to be careful and stick to the shadows of the grove so none of their patrol wolves could scent them out. "Do any of you have any ideas of what we should do before I take the lead?" Gil asked, one ear flicking in the direction of his group. Might as well let them put in some participation points.

This would be the first time she had scouted anything for a pack. Eden walked at a slower pace than Gilgamesh, content to allow the man the lead despite his ankle. She cast a glance at it every so often, but would not ask to wrap it tighter than it already was. If it started to unravel, she would intervene but she was now a long way from doubting her skills as a healer.
The news of this Hattori fellow and a pack named Tojo-Kai was, of course, news to her. She stared at the entrance of the Grove before Gilgamesh's voice hit her. She looked at him, giving a neutral sort of look. Whatever his plans, Sparrow trusted him to do the, ah... Well, not the right thing but the needed thing. She didn't protest or voice her opinion.
Again, this was her first time scouting. She would soak the information up and learn from experienced wolves.

Gilgamesh was leading them on quite an adventure, down south across the bifrost and even further until they were at the near southern tip of Auster. What was worse, Artisan couldn't even bitch and moan about how far the walk was because their group leader was managing it on a broken ankle without a word of complaint. Rather then rock that boat, he kept his tired grumbles beneath his breath.
When they'd finally arrived, Art slunk to his haunches and then to his belly, sprawing in the grove and trying not to express his gratitude for the break out loud. Gil was now explaining their purpose here and who they were gathering intel on - a pack that hid in the bamboo. "I bet they got those fancy curvy sword things." He chimed up from the grass. "Y'know, the ones the splotchy guys are always walking around with. But finding their stash through a maze would be tough."
Artisan wears multiple twine bracelets around his forelegs, each one with different colored homemade marble-like beads upon it. Each bead corresponds to a wolf who he has met and decided deserved a place on his wrist, and thus he might ask your character for a lock of fur, etc to add to his creation to remember your character by.
Unless otherwise stated, you can assume he is wearing them at all times.
Artisan's companions are two blue and yellow macaws, their names are Siri(F) and Cisco(M) and while they can be assumed to always be nearby, they're likely out of sight.
