Her mother had put Kitsune in charge of scouting out the territory they wished to expand to for the herbs that might grow there. She took her duties very seriously, and was quick to agree. She headed out from the pack lands with ehr young apprentice Seere, as well as Saia and one other. With her young charges, Kitsune was prepared to give them all the support they needed.

Arriving at the Grande, she looked out at the watery cross roads and considered. “Let’s look around here first” She decided. As members of Ashen, the young wolves should be proficient in swimming already, but better safe than sorry. “If you find a herb your not sure about, just call out to me”

"Kitsune"

Seere is back in the pack’s prospective new land, this time she is joining her mentor, Kitsune, her sister, Saia, and her mother, Rava. Small legs kick up high as they go, the girl utterly happy to out here with three of favorite ladies in the world. Since both her mother and sister get nervous being outside, the monochrome girl makes sure to stick close to them, offering encouraging smiles and gentle bumps as needed. She is on cloud nine and is extremely happy to out here. When Kitsune calls a halt, the smile that has not left her lips since they set out, grows in brightness.

Dipping her head in understanding, Seere looks to Rava and Saia, saying, “I’m going to go a little closer to the water if you want to join me.” Before she breaks off, the monochrome girl looks to her mentor and offers the princess a bright, beaming smile. Since Kitsune has taken her on, the girl’s knowledge has grown by leaps and bounds and she feels confident in finding a useful herb for the pack. With that, she moves away, nose working to find the scent of any nearby herbs. She soon she finds the trail of one she is unfamiliar with and quickly sets about tracking down her herb.

"Seere Abraxas-Destruction"

Of course Rava was nervous about leaving th territory. Now that she found her safe home she had no real desire to leave. Plague assured her safety in Kitsune’s protection, and she knew it would be good for both her daughters to see her tackle her fears. The ones she wanted so badly for her puppies to keep from picking up. Rava was once a wild woman, able to fend for herself but not protect herself. Plague had turned her life around, and she was not the same woman who once was. The woman who challenged fate and spit in defiance of the deserts, gathered her courage and walked along with Seere and Saia into the unknown.

Seere’s confident spirit kept her head high, even though she insisted she wear her dark green cloak. Her eyes were always scanning their surroundings and returning to her girls, before seeking reassurance from the young princess with a quick glance all before the rotation began again. There was no relaxing while beyond Ashen’s borders. Still, there was a job to be done, her knowledge of wild plants was needed as they explored this place that could become a part of their home.

The cloaked woman lets her dark paws carry her after Seere after an offer to follow. Kitsune likely had all the knowledge she needed, it was the girls Rava was mostly here to watch after. ”What do you see, Seere?” She asked quietly as she scanned the banks, her gaze still shifting from horizon, to her daughters, to Kitsune.

Saia was not nervous leaving the lands of Ashen, she just preferred her relaxed lifestyle back at home. That seemed to be changing as time went on and she grew older. She'd take on those responsibilities, maybe out of expectation but she wanted to do everything in her power for her pack and her family.

As they walked outside of Ashen lands, she could feel just that bit off tension from her mother. Not enough to make her worried, but enough for her to stay close beside her. She had grown well used to her mother's company, and out here she would feel the need to help her feel comfortable.

They made it to the rivers where Kitsune had asked for the group of them to start looking around. Seere was eager as always, bounding for the opportunity to learn and succeed. She thought about sticking close behind her and her mother, but that wouldn't be the goal here today. She reluctantly turned away still close within range of everyone else as she went to find her own herb to present. Her nose drove along the river's edge in the wetter soil there until her eyes came across the white and purplish flowers of marshmallow. Her tail wagged lightly but she turned to see her sister and mother there with the Horsetail Seere had found. She took a seat and waited until they were done, or maybe her cousin would join her before more searching too.

"Saia Klein-Destruction"

Kitsune looked around as the other three wolves settled into looking. She was glad Rava had come with them. Kitsune wouldn’t be the only responsible one in charge of the younger wolves. She spared a friendly smile for Rava as she saw the other wolf turn to Seere and offer her a hand. As Kitsune searched for herbs herself, she decided to keep an eye on Saia in case the little red wolf needed a hand.

As she did so, her eyes landed on floating little bits of green. Plunging into the water for a closer look, Kitsune realised it was watercress. She began to carefully harvest some of the leaves as she found Saia zone in on some Marshmallow. “Good find, Saia, do you know how to harvest the Marshmallow?”


"Kitsune"

The small girl is glad her mother follows after her and, when Rava asks what she sees, Seere happily quips, “I think its horsetail mommy!” Moving to the tubular, multi stalked plant, the girl softly runs a paw over the thin leaves and hums in acknowledgement before saying, “This will be good for binding wounds. We can make a paste out of it.” Turning her mismatched gaze to her cloaked mother, the girl beams at Rava before turning back to harvest several stalks of the plant. As she works, Seere softly says to herself, “It will be nice to have a steady supply of this. Just in case.”

Once she has a decent amount, the girl moves to Rava, her prize tucked into a small leather pouch that she carries in her mouth. Tail wags slowly as she joins her mother, gently pressing into her side in a show of comfort and support. Around the object in her mouth, the small girl asks, “Find anything mommy?”

"Seere Abraxas-Destruction"

More than the apprehension she felt Rava’s chest swelled with pride as she watched her daughters out in the world. With the Princess watching over them she felt no need to be afraid, and yet there was still that innate sense of instinct. Fight or flight at everything that caught her eye. It kept her alive in the deserts but just worried those around her now. As Rava followed after curious Seere, trying to emulate her daughter’s bravery, she didn’t fail to notice Saia scouting out on her own. Or as alone as she could be under Kitsune’s gaze, the girl’s cousin kept watch and offering her help as Rava’s attention returned to Seere.

The girl eagerly replied with her confident reply, and as Raba’s silver eyes took in the plant she nodded along with her. This was indeed horsetail and it was particularly good at helping to bind wounds. ”It will be,” mother agreed to daughter softly. Seere questioned her in return, and Rava did indeed have her eyes on something there on the bank. It was a little small with the spring coming up around them, but the soft new leaves were what they wanted. ”Lamb’s ear.” The spangled woman replied as her dainty paws led her through the tall dead grass towards the little sunspot. The Soft leaves looked like velvet in the sun. ”Another one to help with wounds. You can use them as temporary bandages, they soak up a little blood.” Rava explained to her daughter.

Big eyes looked up at her cousin as she joined her with her own find and harvest, Saia looking down to see what she had found. But with the attention back onto the Marshmallow in front of her. Kitsune asked if she knew how to harvest it, and with a small turn of her chin and a point of her paw she mentioned, "Well I'd like to pull it up at the roots and take it home but..." She knew that wasn't quiet ideal today. Maybe later when they had full coverage over the lands here. "I would just pluck the flower off to harvest." She suggested, but waited to make sure Kitsune would agree before doing so. The stem of the plant would be useful too, so if they needed to take more Saia wouldn't be opposed to doing so. She was ready to follow after her cousin's instructions.

"Saia Klein-Destruction"

At Saia’s answer, Kitsune nodded her head. “Great thinking on both parts, let's just get the flowers today, but it’s absolutely a good idea to get the roots another time” She agreed, offering the red child a smile as she leaned a little further forward to watch Saia harvest the Marshmallow. ‘so just pluck it here like so” she said, snipping one off herself. Once Saia had finished Kitsune lifted her head and looked to Rava and Seere to see how they were getting on. It looked as if everyone had found something. “Venom will be pleased, this territory certainly has herbs healers can use” She said. “Lets head back and let her know how we got on”


"Kitsune"

Seere harvests her horsetail herb, carefully trimming off the branches that are ready to be plucked. Giving each prospective clipping a gentle tug alerts her to which ones are ready to be harvested and which are better left for a different day. Once she has gathered a good amount, the girl folds up the small leather pouch (more of an envelope really to slip the gathered herb in) and moves to join her mother.

A wide smile is on her lips and tail wags as Rava announces she has found lamb’s ear and Seere puts down her leather pouch, saying, “Oh that is a good one! Here, want to use my pouch to store it?” Scooting it a little closer to her mom, the small girl sits back and takes a deep breath, enjoying the scents this new land holds. Another herb tickles her nose and ears perk forward as her mismatched gaze turns once more to the water’s edge.

Glancing back to her mom, Seere says, “I think one more herb wants to come home with us.” Flashing a grin, she trots down to where a green bundle of leaves sprouts up from the soil. Leaning down to give it a small sniff, the girl leans back and sneezes before turning to look excitedly at her mother. With a happy, maybe a little too loud, voice, she says, “Mom! I found some watercress! I think it’s good for colds! Or, uh, something...”

Looking back to the herb, she begins to pluck off some leaves, determined to add them to the small pouch and take them back home. Once everyone is done, Seere and Rava fall back in with Saia and Kitsune, offering them happy wags and grinning around her small envelope of herbs. Together, the triumphant women turn back toward Ashen lands and head home.


"Seere Abraxas-Destruction"

Rava never realized how much pride she could have for the young wolves she had with Plague and Void, she never imagined her life being this way. Watching her girls out here collecting herbs with no fear and all the confidence of their fathers. This was never what she wanted in life, but it was everything she needed. From a wild heathen, to a doting mother, Rava never predicted this amazing life. Her silver eyes shifted from Seere to Saia as they collected their herbs, and she explained softly to Seere her own collection. Rava had always been partial to lamb’s ear even before she really knew how useful it was.

”I would love to be able to put it in your pouch.” She returned lovingly as she filed away the soft leaves into her daughter’s gathering bag. Rava followed the girl onwards as she spoke about seeing one more plant to return home with. The star splattered woman nodded as the girl collected watercress. ”Coughs yes, and to supplement weak puppies.” She added as she watched her daughter gather up the useful plant. They had gained quite a bit on this trip.

Saia follows after Kitsune, harvesting the flower's petals to take back home to Ashen. As Seere and Rava joined them nearby Saia was happy to see Seere so proud and eager about the tow they would be bringing back. Saia hands her the herb she collected herself so she can put it into the pouch as well. She gave Kitsune a thankful wag of her tail before they would turn back to go home. She supposed soon she would be wandering the land here as well once it was secure, or maybe she would even start her own lone patrol cycles here too. Life wouldn't slow down for her and she'd soon be doing most things on her own while she grew older into adulthood.
