While her camp site was near to the battlefield Jynn decided to make good use of her location to get a numer of spars and races in. She was good with either but todays she was feeling a bit more like a spar if she could find someone willing to duel her. Jynn moved quickly to her favorite fight ring. It wasn't anything special, just a flat area of dirt with a few stones marking the area of the ring. Jynn carefully moved a few of the rocks back into place where they no doubt got moved in a scuffle and then she tipped back her head and howled for an opponent. Hopefully she'd get someone well-mannered. Serious or friendly she was good as long as she didn't get a psycho.

Tenshi was making her way back down from the disaster that had been Menagerie's Summer Festival. Knowing Hanzo would want to know a pack member disappeared in the middle of the night, her paws hurried at a decent pace. Not wanting to overheat herself in the growing warm summer days, she had stuck along a thin creek until her path would veer off toward the Battlefield. While it would make sense to stay away from any training, the mountainous woman couldn't stop herself. It would be good to shake off some of the nerves she felt from the incident anyway before her return. Crossing the border into the Battlefield, her steel blues searched for a worthy opponent. Not that anyone would be deemed worthy, she preferred at that moment someone who would make it interesting. It wouldn't take long until a familiar long-legged wolf that had bested her before came into her sights. A friendly smile tugged at her lips as she approached at a slower pace. "I don't believe I introduced myself last time," her timbre of a voice filled the space between them as she came to a stop a few feet away. "I am Yama Tenshi and it was a pleasure sparring last time," Tenshi dipped her muzzle down respectfully toward Jynn as she settled into a readying stance. S P E E C H

Jynn was delighted to see her call answered by a familiar, and pretty, face. She smiled and dipped her head in a more formal greeting as the other woman introduced herself. “Nice to meet you, my name is Jynn Tirana.” With introductions taken care of Jynn followed suit and settled into her fighting stance, pinning her ears along the top of her head and raising her hackles causing her mane to floof up.

Once ready Jynn darted forward. As she neared Tenshi she shifted to her right, seeking to plant her paws just to the outside of Tenshi’s left front leg. Jynn twisted her neck, fangs bared toward Tenshi’s face as she attempted to nip the woman’s left cheek while at the same time pivoting her back legs behind her.

With their casual introductions out of the way, Tenshi finished readying herself into a more appropriate battle stance. Her muscles were loose but firm in her paws as she spread them slightly apart. Lowering her head ever so slightly so it aligned with her spine, she kept a watchful eye on the slender maned wolf. Prepared for anything that may come her way, she kept her position as Jynn darted forward. A flash of teeth struck out toward her cheek as Jynn landed neatly at her left side. Tenshi's eyes tracked the pivoting movement of her opponent. Reacting as fast as she could manage, Tenshi shifted her weight onto her right side. Lifting her left front leg, she aimed to wrap it around Jynn's right front leg and move it in a sweeping motion. As Jynn landed the nip upon her cheek, Tenshi hoped to possibly knock Jynn off balance. Jynn moved swift enough to land her nip on her opponents cheek and it just crossed her mind how strange it was her opponent hadn't made an immediate move to pull away. Just as soon as she thought the thought the reason became clear as Tenshi's broader left paw swept Jynn's right front leg out from under her. Pitching forward Jynn quickly lashed out, trying to bite into Tenshi's left shoulder while at the same time kicking forward with her hind legs, hoping to get hold of the other woman and catch herself before she fell. She did her best to keep her defenses set as she moved.

Her tactic had been a success as her large paw was successful in wrapping around Jynn's leg. Feeling the sweeping power of her motion start to bring Jynn down toward the ground, Tenshi leaned away to try and avoid the snapping jaws of her opponent. Hair fluttered into the air as she felt a prickle along her shoulder where Jynn had managed to pinch her skin. Listening to the scramble of paws against the dirt beneath them, Tenshi shifted her weight so that she could aim for her next attack. Before Jynn could let go or totally fall to the ground, however their close combat would end up, Tenshi swung her head toward Jynn in hopes of battering her with the side of her head or even an antler.
