Bites

There was always something going on. With so many wolves claiming so much land, of course there would be altercations with other predators. Bears, usually. Sometimes cats. This time, it was a pack of dogs. Not wild dogs like Kione, but actual dogs. None of them looked well bred like the mastiffs of the island. They were a mishmash of breeds that eventually grew into its own thing. Really... they were ugly things.

Athena had been traveling with him as they did an inspection of the aspens. The pair stopped and looked at the dogs, most of whom were rolling around in the grass, chewing on things or on themselves.
