Imperialis, Saxe, and Finnvi collide for the first time with Fatalis in this explosive litter out of the volatile Aris Fatalis, sired by the viking Tyrfing Finnvi. This will likely be Ari's only litter and she already sacrificed the oldest accidentally, so these are limited edition collectable pups!

Things to know:

The pup that would have been first born was offered to one of the statues and so won’t exist, so first live birth will be my pup, Zeejay - birth order after that can be fought over to the death :D or I can roll for it if no one cares.

As they will be raised in the Armada by their mother under the leadership of their uncle Azure, these pups are highly unlikely to fall under the "good" side of the alignment spectrum at all, but uncontrollably psychotic behavior that puts the family name at risk will not be tolerated as they grow up either. There is a lot in between that is fair game!

Ari will come down hard on incestuous, deviant, or underaged sexual behaviors, so I want that clear from the start.

They will be strongly expected to be active within the Armada and it is very important to Aris that they all get formal training from the time they are pups so they don’t end up struggling like she did. There will be many field trips outside pack lands to have fun dangerous adventures as well as neat vivisections to teach them all the anatomy of various critters. It’ll be fun. Promise.

They might or might not ever know for sure who their father is. They definitely won't be raised as vikings or be aware that they have anything to do with that culture. It isn’t impossible that Tyrfing finds out about them or visa versa, but it isn’t being OOCly planned for, that is something that would have to happen IC realistically.

However, they do have the potential to inherit their father's features, including discounted height (dire, so up to 42" discounted), feline claws, small horns, and most remarkable of all, with an inheritance pass the pups can inherit his crystal themed saber fangs! From their mother they can inherit feline claws, oversized jaguar fangs, and a ridge of spines. Both parents provide unnatural purple coloration.


Rules for this litter are simple. We won't take them back for inactivity but if you decide to stop playing them we strongly request they be given back rather than set inactive. These designs may not leave Ardent. The designs provided here may not be reused on any other character.

Proposed name: Tolis
Gender: Male
design #: 7 (Would prefer to make him a twin to get to use this design if need be but just in case listing 8 as a backup design.)

Appearance: Tolis will never be massive, even as a child it'll be evident he's a smaller wolf. Though he hardly seems bothered by this. As an adult he will stand 26 inches tall, only a head or so taller than his own small mother, and much like her, he will also never really put on bulky muscle, as he matures his frame will fill out to a runner's build but he'll never have the warrior build the Fatalis name might normally imply. He is not quite dainty though, rather he'll be lithe, athletic.

His coat is short but full, usually well-kempt to keep himself fast but not overly groomed. This coat is one of his most stunning features. The boy's base coloration is ashen, the majority of his body is a grey-black, though his undersides are a soft grey that fades into the darker color. A grey-white marks him in two places, in an uneven blaze that colors his muzzle, running from the top of his nose to just between his eyes, and in a few brindled stripes on his shoulders. These alone would hardly make him worth noting but it's where the mingling of his genealogy that really makes Tolis stand out. The boy is marked by more striped patterns, marking the back of his neck, down to his forelimbs, along his back, and even near the end of his tail, and these markings are an aurora of color. The lower these markings sit on his body the more purple they appear, with his forelegs bearing the most clearly violet of stripes, as these markings move up his body they move through shades of purple towards blues, with the markings that sit along his spine being a turquoise in color. These colors also run in this same pattern on his tail though from closest to his rump to his tail tip. Finally, his Fatalis heritage cannot be argued as he wears a very familiar claw scratch-like marking on his left eye, this too runs through the colors of his striping.

The other most notable part of the boy, at least physically speaking is the two forms of heterochromia his eyes show. His right eye is a pale grey, not quite white. While his left eye is both a different color from the right, it also displays sectoral heterochromia, split nearly perfectly down the middle of his iris. The right half of this eye is a bright purple similar to his lower markings, while the left is a blue-green similar to the turquoise.

Personality: Tolis is a sponge, he will very early prove that you have to be careful what you say or do around children because they are fully capable of learning and repeating with high efficiency. When he's young the boy will hardly seem to differentiate himself from others, he is malleable and whatever opinion someone expresses will be his until someone offers a different one, he's clearly eager to please and if he does not have clues from others about what answer will best make them happy he will simply keep quiet. This may make him seem withdrawn one moment, and only too eager to be a yes man the next. Luckily as he grows it'll become clear it's not that he doesn't have his own opinions, he simply needs to get enough information to feel confident giving his own answer. Though he may always seem a bit flakey to those with strong convictions, as Tolis may still allow his opinions to change easily based on new information, or he may seem manipulative as he seems to sometimes cater his responses to best please others. This second thought may be a bit harder for Tolis to shake, not that he is inherently manipulative, but rather that he does usually adjust his behavior and words to placate others, to avoid ruffling too many feathers. It's not malicious, though it may be to get what he wants, Tolis simply finds it easier to adjust himself in this way than to be stubborn, makes it easier to get what he wants in the long run.

Not that there aren't things Tolis wouldn't hold his ground on, he's hardly a bleeding heart but he does have a small list of things that are unforgivably amoral, these things he will learn from his family, particularly his mother but he may be shaped by other adults largely present in his life. He cares deeply for his family and cares largely about living up to the standards he and others hold for himself because of that. He cares about reputation in the abstract though and while he does have some ego, it's not so large that he can't shrug off most things, and when push comes to shove if need be, he is willing to lie about things he doesn't agree with to get the outcome he wants.

One thing that will become clear even as he's young is that Tolis is a wanderer, he always wants to see something new, and it will be hard to keep in a single spot for long as a pup in particular. He will likely be among the first of his siblings to try pushing the boundaries of where they are or aren't allowed to go, at least until it catches up with him and he's punished for the first time. Then he'll be more reserved in his exploration, but also likely, more bored. Tolis will dream of the day that he is old enough to go off on his own and see the world, see new things. But for all his designs of being a world traveler, it will always be important for him to have a place to crash, and Tolis will never want that to be anywhere but where his family is.

Plans: For now I think Tolis would like to aim for the Watcher rank in Armada, but obviously can't say 100% what will or won't happen to change his trajectory. Otherwise standard plans apply, go out, make friends, maybe eventually settle down and carry on the bloodline. Current Skill plans are Nav and Intellect but open to swapping Intellect if his interests change.

Gender: Female

Appearance:

Tethys has a coat reminiscent of the earliest stage of twilight, when the first rays of sunlight just barely begin to peek over the horizon. Her base coat is a deep, nearly-black purple. Littered across her coat are the sparsest hints of white flecks, closely resembling stars in a night sky. The most prominent feature of her coat is the sprinklings of light across her coat, gradients of bright purple and blue to orangeish pink, namely found on her tail, limbs, sides, back, and beneath her eyes. Finally her eyes are a vivid orange, standing out like a setting sun against her dark facial features.

Personality:

Alexithymic — Otherwise known as the inability to recognize emotions, alexithymia is a personality trait that makes it difficult for Tethys to identify with others - as well as with herself. Unless they are expressed very explicitly, the finer subtleties of emotion are entirely lost on her. She understands that crying means sadness, and yelling means anger, and smiling means happiness, but anything in between is difficult for her to grasp. Recognizing her own emotions is even more difficult than recognizing the moods of others, and often she fails to correlate her physical symptoms to her mental states, leading her to feel vaguely dissociated a lot.

Sensitive — Strangely enough, when she can recognize the emotions others are experiencing (which isn't very frequently), she tends to be very empathetic and sensitive to them. She's driven strongly by the need to not upset or disappoint others, though frustratingly has a difficult time telling when either of these things are occurring. Naturally she ends up asking for reassurance from those close to her, perhaps even too often.

Competitive  — Everything in life is a contest that can be won, at least according to her. She is perpetually weighing her abilities to that of those around her, wanting to always best everyone at everything they do, even if it doesn't particularly interest her. She believes she can excel if she just tries hard enough, and so she'll be driven by the success of those around her, always wanting to one-up everyone - especially her siblings.

Nonchalant  — Tethys masks her difficulty in relating to others with an air of complete nonchalance about almost everything. Overall it tends to make her seem wildly disinterested in everything around her - unless she's attempting to beat someone at something, of course. Nothing seems to phase her much, often to an unnerving degree.

Stubborn — Perhaps due to her competitive streak, when she has her mind set on something it's hard to get her to budge from it, and she'll sooner go down with a fight than ever admit she's wrong about something. Somehow this leads to her being true to her word, because she doesn't like going back on something she's set her mind on.

I envision her as a family girl through and through, even if she butts heads with her siblings more often than not she'll be deeply loyal to them. She will be highly competitive and seek to best others at everything she does, making her fairly ambitious. I can see her aspiring for a high-ranking warrior position within the pack.

Super late but alas, time slipped away :')

Ansem is a gorgeous boy that comes to stand around 42"-45" tall. He clearly takes after both lines when it comes to size, though takes more after Aris in terms of color, markings, and (hopefully possible) mutations. And from the other side, his base coat is an easy-on-the-eyes slate blue and grays that blend flawlessly. The striping on his coat is both blue and purple, a gradient that works well as the striping blends seamlessly into one another. The markings are all along his back, forelimbs, and tail, and it streams slightly down across his shoulders towards his chest. Infamous on his mother's side, the telltale fatalis markings cover his left eye. One notable thing about his eyes is the left is a dual-toned blue and purple, akin to his markings, while the right eye is a muted silver or gray. His underside is slate gray, and he has a small snip of white on the bridge of his nose as well as some lighter striping on his back.

Personality: By default, Ansem is brave and adventurous, dutiful and disciplined, setting himself to a higher standard than others probably have for him, but that's simply because he aims to please those he looks up to and nothing but his best will do regardless of what others say. He works hard, often to the point that he can't stand anymore, pushing himself to the absolute limit and then trying to push further than that. His actions speak louder than his words, though that's mostly because he's better at showing and doing than he is at talking. He's quiet for the most part, not really outspoken but not the type to keep his head down, either. If necessary, he'd speak out against someone he felt did him wrong or was being unfair to him. That's not to say he's whiny, no. Just might have a hard time keeping his mouth shut in these kinds of situations. Would he go out of his way to get revenge on someone that did him wrong? Who knows. He tends to think and stew on this a lot, and suffice to say he's not even sure what course of action he would take until the very last moment. He's not really the impulsive type, but rather, the careful type. He's guarded with his emotions and struggles to fit in socially, but mostly on account that again, he sets himself to a higher standard than others.

At least one fault he has (and he will have a few) is his clumsiness. Sure he can probably be graceful on the battlefield, but outside of his carefully practiced fighting skills, he's as clumsy as a bull in a china shop. He fumbles a lot, has the tendency to trip over his own paws, bites his tongue, and is bad with directions. As such, he might potentially be a bit socially awkward (but not in a cringey way) and assumes that others might not like him as much because of his clumsiness. Outside of this, however, he can be articulate with his words when he wants to be, a dancer on the battlefield, and has a good and level head on his shoulders. The male may also potentially lack impulse control sometimes, but with his mother's help (who are we kidding? He's probably on his own with that LOL) is likely to learn patience and to control this part of him a bit better. After all, nobody is perfect, and everyone has flaws, and Ansem is no exception. He's not the type to burst into anger, no. It's more a slow burn type when it comes to that (depending on the situation of course).


Plans: fighting x healing like mom :D (though may end up going for anatomist specialty lol). Probably struggle to "fit in" (even if there's nothing to struggle with), sets himself to impossibly high standards only to set himself up for disappointment. After putting in a lot of thought (this was an extremely close decision!) RK and I have decided to go with Nyx's Tethys and Dragon's Ansem for the two Ari x Fin puppies!
