Albion had no questions, and his glass blue gaze lingered on Relm and her features. The rest of the group had their attention similarly on the woman as she spoke. The raid etiquette was obvious, but he was truly eager to hear about the siege rules. Would he ever be in one? He wasn’t even sure there was a siege during his lifetime. Surely he would have heard of one. It was interesting to listen to the rules for these interpack interactions.

Realm caught their attention again, delving into the meat of their siege rules. Albion listened, and realized how similar the conduct was between both types of fighting. However the stakes were so much higher for a siege than raid. There was much more potential for injury and kidnapping in such a situation. Part of him wondered if he would ever see a siege in his lifetime. Well, he’d be prepared in either case. As Relm brought the training to a close the young man nodded his head and stood, ready to take on a sparring partner.

Ruse listened quietly as the lesson continued on with Relm describing the more intense variation of an attack on their pack called a siege. She wondered what could happen to cause someone to want to attack another pack like that and assumed that there had to be some kind of just cause for doing something of the sort, but she wasn't unaware of the fact that there was unexplained evils in the world as well. She supposed it was entirely possible that someone could want to attack others purely for the enjoyment of it. She liked to think that there wasn't actually wolves out there that would do something like that, but it was hard to completely deny the possibility. She nodded as Relm instructed them again to look to Manea and Alastor for guidance before they did anything beyond being on the defensive. Again it was hard for her to not think of herself as one of the ones that would have to fall back and be protected since fighting as a whole was still a newer concept to her, but they weren't living in Fenmyre any more. She couldn't fall back on the assumption that her father or brothers would always be around to protect her anymore. It was time for her to be more like her mother and be ready to be on the front lines beside them, she supposed.

Deimos listened with a bit of interest as their teacher for the day explained what made a siege different from the raid she had previously discussed. At the very least this lesson wasn't about fighting technique so there was actually something of interest here. Living in a structured pack did bring more complications, which he had expected, but he hadn't really considered the extent of that. He didn't really hold much interest in pack relations even though his mate was the diplomat of the pack and all of that. Of course all he really needed to concern himself with, he supposed, was defending their land which was what most of this boiled down to. Yes, they needed to wait for guidance to see how to respond to their attackers, but at the end of the day the biggest lesson here was match the severity of the attack they're facing and defend their land and members. That much he could do.

No further questions were asked, so the lesson proceeded into the rules of etiquette for a proper siege. Sieges sounded much more serious and much less regulated. Relm painted a picture of enemies who were coming to do real harm to them. If that was the case, then Kavik was all ready to let the gloves come off. He wasn't one to go down without a fight, not that he truly believed anyone would be stupid enough to siege an entire pack. Relm again stated to default their aggression levels to match those of Manea and Alastor, and the arctic wolf shot a cursory glance over to Alastor. He had seen firsthand the aggression the other dire wolf could manage, so he doubted a lawless siege would be anything but a bloodbath under his leadership. That concluded their lessons for today, and the group was dismissed to break off into sparring partners or return to their duties. As he had been tasked with fishing up dinner for the pack, Kavik rose to his paws and excused himself from the crowd. "Thank you for the lesson. It was highly informative." Then the brute slipped back off into the forest to return to his assigned work.

He had never been in a siege before. Raids? Sure. But he'd heard stories of sieges and how much worse they could be. The stakes were often higher in a siege and all sorts of shit could happen. From simple dominance and maim fights, to more severe maims, kidnappings, and even deathmatches...He could only imagine the carnage that a siege might carry, though he listened to the magenta wolf talk about taking cues, Ifrit wasn't going to take those chances. What if Manea and Alastor weren't around at the moment and someone came at him with more malicious intentions? He'd rather kill the bastard or take a body part before he let someone get the jump on him...He glanced around, and it seemed everyone else was quiet, too. Not a very talkative bunch, were they? He wasn't sure who was sticking around to practice fighting, but when he saw others starting to leave, he took that as a cue to go, too. He had other things to do, and didn't really feel like pulling punches with someone who equally didn't really look like they wanted to be here. "Thank you for the lesson, it was very informative." He nodded to Relm before turning and taking his leave.
