I can't believe I need to tell you this

Hattori knew the yearlings would get antsy, at their age he wandered further and further from Iga as well, pushed the boundaries as far as he dared, but this was edging closer to the intolerable. He couldn't say he was overly surprised to learn their parents weren't the watchful type, he knew both Sedna and Raijin as much as he could by now, but as their Kaicho it was his duty to step in if they would not. Though it didn't stop him from internally grumbling about it as he made his way to the centre of the maze, where the communal space stood neat and clean. Strangely the nights were cold, no doubt something to do with the world twisting itself out of shape again, but fortunately their little bamboo fort was cosy in design. He stoked the fire, added a few more logs into the mix as he waited for his companions to fetch the yearlings in question.
They would discuss the matter calmly, carefully and something-whether they liked it or not-would be done.
"Speech"

Tachi wasn't sure what the Kaicho's bird wanted, but he saw no reason not to listen. He kenw it'd be a bad idea to try and brush off his leader's summons, and it wasn't like he had anything better to do anyway. Barely hiding a smile as he watched the bird hop along, who knew eagles had such a hard time walking huh, the pair meandered through the maze with ease. It seemed as though having a bird's eye view of this place made it even easier to know what was where. He glanced up as he followed in silence and barely caught view of the full moon's light squeezing through the gaps in the leaves. He hadn't experienced much strangeness, but he doubted this meeting was about that, why else would Hattori have singled out him and his siblings then?
Soon enough the pair came to the clearing and the bird was off, maybe seeking out Rheum or Tate. Hattori had settled in the meanwhile and was looking at the fire. Tachi had noticed he'd been a little short as of late, squinted even more than usual, but he seemed fine now. Or at least back to his usual levels of face-scrunchiness.
"You called?" Not the most formal way to greet his leader, but they were family.
