She hadn't been this way in such a long time. The pale she-wolf hardly left Valhalla lands these days, or at least, hardly strayed from its borders since she had joined. But today she would, and she did. She headed towards the lake that Aerie once laid claim to, their former neighbors were no longer there and had long since left. Where they went, she didn't know. She just hoped the one she had helped was doing well. Especially after the traumatic experience of that day. Noelle wondered if there were any markers for the young lives that were lost. And if there were, it was probably somewhere well hidden that only that she-wolf would know about. She found herself feeling saddened by the memory, and so chose to distract herself by heading towards the water's edge to just listen to the water gently lap at the edge of the shore and the occasional call of a bird or chirp of a bug. She came here with a task to do, but that could wait. She wasn't in any particular rush. |
A Ray of Light With every step the male took, it appeared as if the forest was coming to an end, the gaps begun to get larger and allow more sunlight to light the way . With his mind and nostrils in tandem, he was certain that the clearing would reveal a water source. The birds sang their song as he squinted his eyes, adjusting himself to his surroundings. "I'm READDDDYYYYYYY!." All of a sudden the trees disspeared, flooding his vision with the full exposure of the bright light. Before the clumsy canine could adjust his orbs to the light, the brush thicket had managed to entangle a front paw and leaving his body catapulting forwards into a somersult. |

Things were quite peaceful here. The beauty of it all, she could see why Aerie had chosen to claim these lands for as long as they did. She sat, facing the water and enjoying the sounds of the world around her. She would be oblivious to anything that would soon come to disturb the peace, that is, until she heard a pretty loud splash! She jumped in surprise, startled by the sudden sound and she frantically tried to look around to see what had caused such a commotion! Her pale gaze would soon find the source, her fur bristling from surprise and apprehension. She was out here alone, but she knew the way back to Valhalla should she need to run to safety. She saw a set of wiggling paws above the surface of the water, and within moments, the creature had righted itself. She gasped in surprise as a wolf surfaced, and though part of her wanted to see if he was alright, the other part of her was wary still. Instead, she remained where she was, both ready to run and stand her ground...though honestly, if it came down to it, she was likely to run back home if need be. "A-are you alright?" She called out from where she stood frozen in her position. Her head was tilted, looking away from the stranger so that she could see him via peripheral vision. The stranger would probably think her rude, but she wanted to keep him in her sights, and she couldn't quite do that when looking straight at him. |
A Ray of Light The male had not anticipated in tripping and making a fool of himself. Four paws remained submerged under the water, as his body begun to shake from side to side, spraying glistening droplets through the air and disturbing the water surrounding him. "Haha. Why yes, I tripped, I apologise for my ungentlemanly behaviour." The loner, swallowed hard and kept his stature low and who was he to try and show dominance here. The scent of a pack filled his nostrils, he couldn't deny that and there was no point in endangering himself over some simple manners. Although judging wrong in a sitaution could also cost him greatly, but something deep inside his gut was telling him he had made the right decision and gut feelings had been helpful in the past. |
