Come down, come down sweet reverence
Jynn shivered and crouched further into the small grove of pine trees. Ahead on a nearby ridge were a small herd of mountain goats. She'd gone a few days without food and now that Birna was back from her travels the duo set out to get a bite to eat. However, that meant Jynn needed to figure out how to hunt in the freezing cold of the north. She still had her fur booties around her feet and that would make her movements different than usual. She was used to having her claws for grip but now she wouldn't if she wanted to keep her paws warm. Hopefully Birna would take on the bulk of the running down of prey. Jynn could help startle and herd but she didn't have the strength or agility in her current circumstances to bring the goat down.

Birna ignored the rumbling in her stomach, choosing to settle into her den while the winter storm passed through. There would be another this evening, of that she was certain and so she followed after Jynn to seize the break in the stormy weather for some hunting. Guelder had spied the small herd of mountain goats and noticed that one seemed to be nursing an injury. The opportunity was to good to pass up so the duo prepared a strategy. Birna was far more agile on the mountains than Jynn was so she'd do the primary pursuit after Jynn scattered them in the cat's direction. Birna carefully maneuvered down below the herd and waited for Jynn to trigger a stampede from above.
