He raised his head, calling to the youngest litter, and to Briar. Knowing his Queen daughter would appreciate the chance to say goodbye to her youngest siblings before he took them back to the far outskirts of Boreas. A long journey with children, and one he would not be taking with - - he dashed the thought. Letting his call die out as he settled in to wait.

Charlton had been quiet, mulling over the loss of his mother, while trying to keep himself distracted from it as well. It was something that was undoubtedly hard on all their family members, not just him. Being able to spend some time in the Hallows he felt had helped. He had tried to have a lesson about the stars, though it really felt like more of a hangout between himself and the other pups. That was okay though. He had enjoyed their company, and they had enjoyed him, and that was what had mattered.
Hearing his father’s call, Charlie made his way out of the castle to where his father was waiting. Blue eyes shifted to the man, giving a warm nod of greeting to his sire. Once he was close enough he sat, wondering if this call meant that they were going to head home to the Armada. They had been in the Hallows for a bit of time now, after all. And while he enjoyed this place, there was no place like home.
Crux had wanted to be enjoying the trip to the Hallows but honestly at this point more than anything he wanted to go home. Maybe some part of him believed that if they just went home things would be okay, that everything would go back to what they were supposed to be. So the boy was eager to answer his father's call, hoping there would be news about going back. Crux was uncharacteristically fast, having been beaten by only his brother. He looked up hopefully at his father, even if the emotional exhaustion of his grief was also evident.

Crux has a 6 inch long burn scar on his throat, most of his art does not reflect this.
Wallowing in his own morose disposition for a few weeks had left the youngster with a near permanent scowl plastered onto his face. The constant throb of his skull while his horns sprouted didn’t improve the situation at all. For the most part, he’d been holed up in the roosts of the castle. Watching the world go by without speaking a word for most of the day. It felt better than trying to talk to someone, or act like everything was okay.
Ringing out across the courtyard, his father called out for the litter of despondent youngsters. The tundy little boy picked himself up and meandered down the stairs, thudding and thumping his way down each step with a long-suffering sigh. By the time he made his way down to the courtyard, he spotted his brothers already gathered with their father. So far, none of his sisters had shown up.
The golden prince settled on his haunches, slouching to try and fold his oversized form inwards and avoid attention. A half-hearted smile flashed briefly across his features as he looked up at his dad, and settled quietly down to wait.
