Kotori and the large male grizzly stared at each other, both appearing equally confident in who the winner would be.  Two arrogant predators ready to just kill each other to prove who was best.  Well, the bear might have had better reasons and it was technically overly close to Valta land but Kotori also just enjoyed fighting things bigger than himself.

Kotori lunged in, straight at it while the bear’s mouth opened wide and it lurched forward as if it would just land on top of Kotori.  The wolf hit the brakes and even leaped backward so the bear landed right in front of him.  Kotori took that second to bite its nose before lunging away and circling around.  Yes, he’d bit the nose as a painful taunt. It did a great job at enraging the bear, having it circle tightly to try and get to Kotori.  Now it was definitely about the bear just wanting to kill him.

Kore has decided to go in search of his missing sibling, taking it upon himself to find Kalyke and bring him safely home. The boy had already talked to his sister, promising to check in frequently with her and, as he travels, the boy made of galaxies already finds himself missing his moon kissed sister. At least this land is nice, the springs around him promise warmth if he gets cold… even if the sulfur filled air makes his nose hurt.

A hazy sight greets his eyes, a huge male grizzly is facing off with a certain earthen wolf. With a snort of amusement, Kore launches forward, thankful for the strong smell that masks his scent. The male wolf bites the bear’s nose and, as it tries to get off the ground, the boy nimbly lands on the beast’s back, latching onto the grizzly’s scruff and preparing for the ride. Long legs weave their way around the thick, muscled neck as Kore thrashes his head, saber fangs causing fur and blood to fly through the air.

Kore charged into the scene and Kotori glanced at the wolf but it wasn’t the time to talk.  The wolf had chosen to leap onto the bear's back and Kotori would take advantage of it.  The horned wolf rushed into the bear which was now slowed due to another wolf riding it. Jabbing his horns into the bear's shoulder Kotori jerked his head sideways, ripping open a nasty slash that quickly spilled blood to darken the grizzly bear's brown fur.

The bear tried to retaliate but it didn’t have a chance with Kore on his back.  Kotori didn’t truly run away, simply jogging alone to get, and stay, at the bear's backside where he would easily be able to attack until the bear got rid of Kore.  The younger kid would be its priority for the moment and Kotori wouldn’t waste a second of that.  The boy was young so they would see how long it could stay on and damage it could do.

Kotori works from the ground to harass the grizzly while Kore remains straddling the creature’s back. Sharp sabers cut deeply, shredding the bear’s scruff and sending fur and blood raining down to the ground. The earthen-hued male jabs the beast’s shoulder, opening a deep wound and, as the grizzly’s attempts to retaliate, the galaxy-clad boy adjusts his angle of attack to striks at the back of the creature’s head.

A mighty roar splits the air as the grizzly attempts to toss its head from side to side and unseat the boy. However, the movements only help Kore, opening deeper and deeper wounds until the white of the skull can be seen through the ragged hole that the boy has opened. The beast sags to the side, blood loss beginning to take its toll on the bear. Eyes dart to Ko but the boy remains on the beast’s back, continuing to do damage since it is working so well.


"Kore Regni"

Kotori lunged in, this time biting into a chunky back leg, thrashing his head to enlarge the wound he had just created. The bear seems to realize its losing. It makes an attempt to run and Kotori lets go of its flesh but only for long enough to get another bite into the leg once more. This isn’t about attempting to win anymore. The two wolves had won the fight, it was just about how long until the bear fully died or at least was close enough to dead that it give up completely.

The blood that stained the grass was taking with it the bear's energy and ability to think clearly. Its feet landed heavier than needed and he seemed to be angling right while trying to maintain balance. Kotori followed along, biting and jabbing at it. He could just let it die on its own but that would be cruel.

Kore deals damage to the bear from his perch on the creature’s back. The grizzly’s roar is weak and gruff as is makes a lurching attempt to run. Sensing the end is drawing close, the bear tries to get away but, even if it was to, the beast will bleed out within the hour. Better to be merciful. Kotori follows after the beast, jabbing at biting at the bear as it stumbles along.

Suddenly, without warning, the bear slumps to the side, the blood loss finally too much for it. The boy clad in galaxies leaps from his perch, landing noiselessly on the ground before wheeling back toward the grizzly. It tries to roar at him but Kore easily moves forward, ripping open its throat and allowing the bear to fade into death with some dignity. Slowly, the tension leaves its body along with its blood and life.

When the grizzly finally stills, the boy looks to Kotori and smirks.
