This place had promise.  Kotori had to admit the trees here were a pleasant sight in the springtime.  He could scent various rabbits and small game hidden in the grass about the region.  Kotori mused over the idea of claiming this land but only mildly with his mind more set on ocean-side turf.  It seemed a favorite of numerous packs to have at least some connection to the salty waters.  Most of the time he approved of this idea, at least in areas where the beach wasn’t overly cold.

Kotori had a peaceful feeling here, calm, and just enjoying the scenery.  That was before a bear showed up.  It was a male grizzly and while on the leaner side from all its hibernating the beast was certainly a large one, well on in years.  The grizzly stood up, making a few gruffing sounds before roaring at Kotori.  Scars could be seen in various areas, some likely from fights with other species but some potentially from other bears.

Kotori snarled at the bear as the two approached each other.  Kotori moved first, darting around to the bear’s left side, noticing how the bear was doing a better job than Kotori would have expected at moving fast to keep up.  It took nearly two spins about before Kotori pivoted, surprising the bear and getting a fast bite at the ursine’s front leg, giving it a good shake before lunging away from its mouth.

"Kotori Fatalis"

Athena has decided to enjoy the wonderful spring day by going on a little walk. The land with magenta trees is not far from pack lands and she decides to take a leisurely stroll there. Wonderful scents of blooming trees and plants fill her nose as the earthen-hued woman slowly walks through the trees. Petals flutter in the gentle breeze, landing on her coat and delighting the woman. With a deep, content sigh, the woman turns her amber gaze up to one of the clouds that drift across the bright blue sky, admiring the day.

A roar rips her attention away from the clouds and she breathes in, catching the musk of a grizzly along with her Sumatar’s scent. Legs churn as she races to aid Kotori and, while she is confident that he can take care of himself, Athena knows just how deadly one of these bears can be. She arrives, finding herself behind the angry, scarred creature. Without a sound, she races up and launches herself up onto the beast’s back. With a mighty snarl, she stinks her teeth into the tender flesh of the grizzly’s skull, right between where the ears are.

While she tears up the area, she wraps her forelegs around the grizzly’s neck and holds on for dear life. Athena knows she is in for one wild ride.


"Athena Nocturna"

The bear’s head turned slightly as he noted the other wolf’s presence, lips peeling back as he gets hit by the weight of the wolf.  Perhaps the biggest difference in this bear and so many is that it doesn’t appear to continue on in some wild rage.  Silently it rears up, strategically making it harder for the wolf to stay on his back.

Kotori’s tail twitched pleased both with Athena’s rush in to attack and that the bear seemed less foolish than most.  It might be a fun match.  It kept one paw near its chest, ready to defend its stomach.  The bear haunches up his neck muscles, making it harder to get a good bite in the most vital area up there in case it's not enough to dump Athena.
Kotori jogs to one side as the bear lumbers on two legs toward him.  The wolf spins about, easily faster so long as the bear only uses two legs.  Kotori sinks his teeth into the back of one of his legs, snarling and shaking his head.
