It was too cold. It was too fucking cold for her. Not enough meat on her bones. Not enough sun in the sky. Not enough coat around her shoulders. The creature moved stiff, disjointed, not like something of this earth. She is too small. The snowdrifts were high, taller than she is, nearly. Drifted high, and she too, she drifted. Atropos drifted high, opalescent eyes scanning the world around her. Danger. Danger around her. Danger on all sides. What a silly, silly world this was. How silly would they need to be if they weren't going to realize. If they didn't know. She is the danger. With eyes narrowed against the cold, she turned to the ship. Man-made and very strange. What a very, very strange vessel this was. Carefully she scaled her way up until she was within the vessel and out of the cutting, howling wind. It couldn't get her in here. No, it could not get her. Atropos could at least tuck herself away within the boat for a while. How long? Who knew. Who ever knew. As silently as she could manage, the refined creature padded down the halls. Careful steps. No one could know. No one would know. Picking a cabin with a still-intact window, the creature entered. The cot here still stood, and sunlight filtered in through that grimy glass window. It created a warm spot upon the bed. Atropos found that inviting enough, climbing atop it. Though the cot's springs creaked a minor protest, it didn't matter. She wouldn't rise from this spot until she was warm. atropos feelin like a freak on a leash you wanna see the light |

Lurid moved through the darkness with an ease that said she was born to it. This place reminded her so much of the caves of Mirovis, and she welcomed the arctic cold. This would be a perfect place to raise a family and hold power, for her at least. She moved through the passageway to the cabins, spotting a familiar tiny form in the darkness slipping into one of the rooms. For a moment, the gold and ivory beast thought she was hallucinating, but upon scenting the air she began to wave her tail in excitement.
She knew that perfume, and that tiny form. Atropos had finally come to meet with her. Lurid moved with ethereal grace to meet her sister, a broad smile on her face when she entered the room. "So you have come home, little sister." The greeting was warm, sweetly calling Atropos little because she was. Lurid had always dwarfed her sister, as had the other members of the family, but there was no mistaking the small woman's power. Atropos was a ferocious creature when off-leash. Luckily, the Night Mother knew how to talk to the dark minded witch of the family.

Hide a little. Hide away a little. Get some rest alone, a little. But she is only alone for a little. A little bit of time, Atropos is alone. She was by herself here, but it did not last. Even tiny, dangerous things need naps. Atropos needed a nap, but she would not rest for long. There were things to be done. There were sisters to see. A sister, she could see. A sister that seemed to melt out of the shadows, all bright and shining in the low light that filtered in from the window behind her. Swathed in sunlight and something else, something better. Something more comfortable for the strange creatures that they were. Atropos fixed her gaze on the woman, blinking slowly, sleepily. Delight. The shine in her eyes is unmistakable. Delight, and something that fans the flame that already exists deep in her chest. She's quite pleased. Her tail wags, thumping on the bed beside her, stirring up some of the dust that had settled here over time. Atropos cannot help herself, but to allow the feelings in her heart to be painted on her face. A rarity, but not an unwelcome one. Still, words fail her in this moment. Words were hard, after all. Feelings? Easy. Words? Not easy. "You found me!" The same whimsy as a child that's just been discovered during a round of hide and seek. Wasn't that what this was, after all? Just an extended game of hide and seek. Lurid won. She usually did, but it usually took some time. Just like this time. Yes, just like this time. Atropos was pleased. atropos feelin like a freak on a leash you wanna see the light |

The delight that crossed the smaller woman's face made a smile form over Lurid's own delicate features. The pale goddess stood before her sister and waved her tail behind her as Atropos spoke. Words may not come easy to the little witch, but in that moment a small laugh bubbled up from Lurid. "I did indeed find you, little one. It is good to see you. Now, come on. We have a home to discover." With a tip of her ivory and golden crown, Lurid motioned for the smaller woman to follow her. Moving through the room and to the door that led further into the ship's belly.
Mirovis settled here, came together and learned here. Lurid would have to show her sister how to navigate the deep, dark halls of their home. "The rooms for us are one deck up, I will show you my room, and then you can pick yours." Another turn and up a flight of metal stairs, her paws stayed silent, not even a nail click. She kept her claws lifted to avoid the noise of paw steps, it was a pet peeve of hers to hear the clicking of her own nails. Her pale color and ability to seem to float silently gave her the nickname Ghost. Perhaps her longer legs made it hard for her sister to keep up, Lurid was excited.

A home to discover. This is home now. Home. What a silly concept. What a strange concept. A boat was their home. A home-boat. How long had it been since she had a home? A real home? She was here. She found it. Lurid found her. A good game. The next time they played, it would be a shorter game, she thinks. Can't be away from home for too long. Can always hide away within home. Is hiding at home a game too? No more game, not right now. The game was over, but something even better had just begun. "Next to yours?" She chirped, considering for a moment. She could have her room next to Lurid, maybe. If she was allowed. Atropos wouldn't say that she hoped... but she did. "With a good window!" The girl added, seeming to need to take two steps for every one of Lurid's. Damned short legs. No complaints. No complaining. She knew better. Atropos would just double her stride in order to keep up. She could run with them. Her siblings, she could keep up. They were bigger, they were stronger, but she didn't need to be. She didn't need to be big. She didn't need to be strong. Quick and sharp. Smart. Don't let anyone see the smart, just be the smart. Atropos knows that Lurid knows. No one else needs to know. "We explore, after?" The question is broader than the boat. It's the question of their new home, as a whole. They would explore, they would learn, they would find what they needed to. Hopefully. Hopefully find it. Their new lives had just begun, after all. Had to make the most of it. She was certain. atropos feelin like a freak on a leash you wanna see the light |

As Lurid led her sister through the labyrinth that was their home now, a small smile stayed on her face the whole time. She found her sister silly sometimes and this was one of them, the woman seemed to think they played some kind of game for all this time. It was a good game, she was right. Lurid looked to make sure Atropos was keeping up alright, to her credit she didn't complain any about the pace Lurid set. She knew better than to say anything, but Lurid kept her pace slower so she could keep up. The woman had always been challenged to keep up with the family, her smaller size made one step from Lurid into two for Atropos. Lurid could understand this and would accommodate as long as there was no complaining. They came up one the rooms, Lurids at the end of the hallway with two rooms that would fit what Atropos had inquired for. "This one could be yours." She showed off a smaller cabin, but it had a window like requested.
When asked if they could explore, Lurid gave her another smile. "You can explore as much as you want, but I can only join you for a little while, I have things to do." Lurid had an entire kingdom to set up. Borders needed to be made, and plans for next winter to put into motion. She had pack members to find and more work to do than she had in their old homeland.
