As the weather began to ease itself into the amicable glow of autumn, it became a lot easier to stray further from the castle without having to worry about the next impending rain storm. She still found herself being drawn to the beach, however today she would follow the glittering sand a little further north than she ever had before. As she ventured beyond familiar territory, she kept her attention on the horizon beyond the tide. Of course, there were the ebb and flow of waves washing against the shoreline, but in general, the ocean was fairly placid today. So when she finally got close enough to see the narrow spine of the world cut through the surface of the sea, her interest immediately peaked.

It seemed to be a natural bridge of sorts- or at least as best as she could tell. It was then recognition dawned on her that it was likely that the continent of Boreas lay on the other side. While she had never been herself, she recalled hearing travel stories from her parents and some of the other members of the Hallows. And while the landmass beyond the fog of distance called to her … she knew she couldn’t explore it for herself quite yet. But as the wanderlust burned through her being, she knew it would just be a matter of time. The land bridge, however … was fair game.

One could argue that there wasn’t much to see, but being able to walk to the point where the world divided the ocean was fascinating to her, and it was such a wonderfully calm day to do it. Going in, she knew that she wouldn’t traverse its entire path- she’d only go about halfway. When she finally crossed the distance she felt comfortable with, she turned to look at where she had come from. The view was breathtaking.
