Ajax spotted the gleam of her golden tongue and inwardly huh'd to himself. Wolves with pointy bits were the norm around here, but a golden tongue? That was sort of weird, he was almost tempted to rip it out and keep it for himself. Since pirates hoarded gold and all that. But since this had started off as a pretty standard fight, it probably would be a dick move to try and maim like that. He was a bad guy, but he wasn't a bad guy, you know?

His opponent was quick to move out of the way, wisely keeping a safe distance from his blade as she focused on his side, putting tooth and claw to use. Oh so they would be fighting up close and personal then? Fine. He winced a little as he felt the grasping of her teeth, no doubt intending to bite down, only just failing to as he slipped out of the way, though not before feeling an uncomfortable tug at his skin. He lashed around again, this time forgoing his tail as he made to snap at her ears, one sharp tug and she'd give in, surely?

Tate was ready to collide head on. That's all he ever really wanted, frankly. Head on, hard hitting, total nonstop action. Was that so much to ask? Apparently yes. The sudden change in direction caught Potato off guard, and only furthered his annoyance. "Pussy!" He spat. What kind of pussy ass little bitch was going to try and play him like this? Tate snarled, teeth gnashing, snapping wildly at the other yearling. While the Pirate's teeth sunk into his shoulder, there was too much adrenaline in his system to care. Tate's jaws snapped, no holds barred. With any luck he'd find a grip on the back of the creature's head, or somewhere on the scruff. In the same motion, Potato pressed into his adversary. If he wanted to bite, let him bite. The goal was to knock him off balance, shoving him backwards, or stumbling. A menacing, horrifying growl in his chest, he grappled for dominance, for control.

It seemed his last-second change in the path of his assault was effective in a sense, as his opponent fell to expressing his frustration with insults. As his teeth made contact with flesh- the well of hostile blood leaked into his mouth. His grip kept him from answering the other yearling, though he still managed a snort in amusement. However, he wasn’t given long to process the success of his blow before the sudden shove back left him staggering. With his off arm, he quickly tried to find balance by hooking it over the koi wolf’s back- his remaining three paws, he flexed his claws into the ground. Aresenn felt fangs rake against his head and find purchase in his scruff. He was met with the stinging sensation fo tearing flesh- though muted by adrenaline. With a final effort, he attempted to thrust himself forward against the larger yearling to try and get him to the ground.

Oh dear. Rivin snorted. She liked his coat – that was it. She had zero interest in any of that other stuff. He wasn’t either. This wasn’t a meeting of courtship, after all. Perhaps if she had been more experienced, she’d tried to get one of his marked body parts to take home with her. Yet, as Rivin sized the male up, she was sure that this was going to be one hell of a first raid fight. She was going into the deep end without floaties… hopefully she wouldn’t drown. As he answered her challenge with a snarl, Rivin snarled back, claws biting into the soil. He was older, experienced, but if he thought she was going to make this an easy win, he had better think again! Her companions moved before she did, acting as guards for her flanks and an additional attack source when the time was right. Feng was growling so much the wolverine might have been mistaken for a giddy demon rather than a fighting companion. Racing to meet Rivin’s opponent from his mistress’ left,  Áskell’s right, the wolverine would seek to avoid the lifting paws and aim for the male’s back legs as he lifted himself up. The target was the lower part of his leg that Feng wanted to throw himself into with hopes of disruption the koi wolf’s balance. The wolverine was aware of the primate’s presence, ignorant to the bird, but he cared little. He was meant to act as a battering ram and nothing more. Any injury he sustained would not be of consequence in his eyes. On the koi wolf’s left, their mistress’ right, Lark was ready, but did not attack yet, on the ready to try and counter anything that came from that side. Rivin remained in the middle, hoping to use her size to her advantage. She wasn’t as filled as she’d be when she was older, but surely their differences even now could help…? Rivin tried not to let her thoughts interfere, relying on instinct as the male reared up. The yearling tucked her chin and then sought to twist her own head, to intercept his attack not with fangs but catch him in those antlers. With that helmet of his she hoped that would be easier. Maybe between her attack and her companions she could unbalance him? The motion was more of a toss attempt than anything, but she certainly wouldn’t complain is one of her tines nicked him. Perhaps a bit of an error, she realized, as she felt claws cut into her chest. She smelled the blood, pain flaring in the spot, but Rivin held her ground, weight distributed evenly across her limbs and center of gravity moving from her paws up into that attempted thrust. Was she even going to dislodge him? Another set of claws hooked around her left forelimb and wrapped around the back. The girl gritted her teeth. She sure as hell better hope her size could overpower him and get him off. These koi were fiesty! "Talk," 'Think.'

Ari charged with his wolf companion, though slightly back in order to be able to respond. The young woman's wolverine came barreling toward Áskell and Ari leapt forward, seeking to land on the creatures back with his hands across the little beasts face, thumbs aiming to pressure the eyes.

The girl ducked her head and Áskell only had seconds to respond to the approaching tines of her antlers. Thankfully his claws found purchase and gave him something to balance against. He could hold onto his larger opponent for the moment. He twisted his head sharply so that his jaws aimed to catch her left antler right at the base. It would likely jar his jaws but he really didn't have any other options. This close his targets were sorely limited. In addition to trying to catch one of her antlers he sought to dig his claws in deep, aiming to pull himself up enough that he could kick out with his hind legs at her gut. Áskell hoped to not only do damage but maybe also launch himself away so he could coordinate a better attack without risking serious injury.

Terry didn't seem too apt to let Sparrow gnaw on his horns which was a bummer because Sparrow, like any good pup would, wanted them even more. What was it about being denied a simple pleasure that made it so much more desirable? Sparrow would never know, but she would relish in it nonetheless.

Tammy was able to smack her maw out of the way and Sparrow snarled a little as she tried to throw her heft at the man to overpower him as she stretched her maw towards his horns once more. "Just a little nibble," she complained, "Won't hurt too much!"

His opponent managed to dodge his horns for the most part, though his bristles would make some form of irritating contact. Diablo growled as the two brawled, his tail lashing and muscular limbs keeping him ready to move at a moments notice, though considering he had little experience in an actual fight, he probably just looked like a lanky confused teenager. Tachi managed to grab onto Diablo's horn with his teeth, earning another growl from Diablo as he sought to wrench his head away before driving it back towards his opponent with a powerful swing of his head to rattle his brain a bit. Simultaneously, rose a bit on his hind legs as he sought to throw his forelimbs around Tachi's neck, aiming to use his grippier paw hands to grab the side of his neck with one and smack the living daylights out of Tachi with the other. The sneaky little pirate! He had managed to avoid the bulk of her attacks, her teeth had barely managed to grab hold of anything but she was satisfied at least that she had managed to pinch his skin. She knew well enough that a little love bite like that could be irritating and would sting. He turned to go for her then, and she was just a tad too slow to react in time. She felt hot breath against her ear, and the next thing she knew, she felt his teeth clamp down on her left ear. Snarling (how dare he make her produce such an unladylike sound!), she knew that if she ripped her head away, there was a chance that she could very well rip her ear. So instead, her little orchid mantis companion took its opportunity to jump onto Ajax's face, and she hoped it was distraction enough while she awkwardly rose a forepaw to give him a good slap, claws unsheathed. That would teach him to not be so rude to a lady!

Something has taken Tate over, taken hold of his actions. Something otherworldly. There was no telling exactly what it had been, only that it made him feel alive. Alive in a way that he'd never felt before. A rush of blood straight to the head. Adrenaline, and something more. Something better? Something worse. Better and worse, all at once. Pulling away from the scrape victorious, bloody, the point where his shoulder and chest met bleeding. A deep wound, but a wound that he'd earned. More than earned. Fuck that felt good. Head high, standing at the fullest extent of his height, Tate scanned the throng of Pirates and koi where they surrounded him. There had to be someone else. There had to be another. Potato was fucking high on it. High on adrenaline. High on victory. High on life. A rush that he'd never experienced before. A dangerous drug for an addictive personality. He needed the next Pirate to bend beneath his paws.

Shit, of course. Feng was on course, but here came the primate. The wolverine tried to put on the breaks but it was too late. Here came the macaque, and the banshee-like squeal of Feng as he tossed about, trying to dislodge the primate from his back before his thumbs actually found his eyes. But while Feng had hoped for Lark to aid him, the bobcat, on the opposite side, was fixed on the opponent their mistress tangled with. The bobcat’s eyes were narrowed, target locked… Rivin was having a time herself. Her antler was caught in the male’s jaws and she snarled, fangs clicking over the air as she snapped by his head in frustration. He had her good, fangs around her head, claws hooked into her flesh… So if he wanted to hold… wait… Dumbass... Rivin would push against the ground, feeling those claws dig into her skin. Alright, sure, she was hurting herself more, but if she pushed into him she might be able to hurt his jaws. He’d be forced to release her. He seemed eager to draw her in anyway. As her opponent went to kick, lifting his hind legs off the ground to kick at her gut, Rivin shoved forward with all her might. Either she’d dislodge him or they were going down in a tangle of limbs. As Rivin leapt so did her companion. His mistress couldn’t get in an attack edgewise, but the bobcat could. Powerful legs kicked him into the air, towards her opponent, claws at the ready to attempt latching on and clamping onto his neck. The bobcat would dig in deep, to make the wolf pay for the damage he was doing to the yearling. Sure the Pirates were the ones raiding and in the "wrong" but Lark couldn't acknowledge that right now. He just had to help Riv! "Talk," 'Think.'

Tachi managed to hold on, barely, as his opponent did everything in his power to yeet off the orange spotted wolf. He gritted his teeth, jaw aching under the pressure as the Pirate shoved back, they were both about the same height, but the Pirate was slightly bulkier than himself and he was quick to put that muscle to use. There was little he could do but hold on and snarl in return, hauling with all of his might to try and shove the other wolf down. But it was hard to keep up the leverage like this, certainly when he was being slapped in the face. A hit walloping the side of his muzzle, hard enough to make his teeth rattle.

One batshit insane old woman looked at him and was asking why he came at all. He stumbled backwards as she approached, attempting to give a shrug and seem like he didn't care but all he could think about was how little he wanted to be touched by this lady.

As she lunged, Kashi backpedaled and turned tail. There were so many bodies and fights it was hard to tell where he was going. He saw an opening and took it- right into the maze.
