Snakes weren't an uncommon sight within the maze and for the most part they were more of a help than a hindrance. They kept the rodent population at a manageable level, stopping them from pilfering Tojo's buried stores. They weren't a problem since for the most part they kept out of the way and weren't very aggressive, but the same couldn't be said for this cobra that had seemed to have claimed one of the spare dens as its own. It was fortunate his senses were so sharp, as he'd noticed it before he'd even thought about dipping his head inside to see what was inside, he trusted Sedna and her capabilities as a healer but he did not want to put it to the test against cobra venom.
He paused for a moment, debating on what to do as either way he would not be able to get it out on his own, he'd need help with this.

let's stick together just a little bit longer Kiriko had settled into daily life within Tojo-Kai in much the way she managed to fit into any of her previous lives. Blend in. Don't draw attention to yourself. Keep your head down, work hard. She'd set about harvesting lotuses to turn to silk over the winter, and processing hemp to make paper. She'd collected seeds from both plants to add to their seed stores, preparing for the winter and on into the spring. Still, she was playing her cards close to her chest. Kiriko still viewed getting to know her packmates as a risk. There were other risks within the bamboo maze... like the one she encountered now. While the woman had done a pretty good job learning to navigate it, she still made the occasional wrong turn. It was this wrong turn that had her walking around a blind corner and nearly straight into Hattori's rear end. She stopped only just short, a small noise of surprise followed by a swift apology. Her head bowed, expression soft. "Forgive me," her tone is that of a girl who's been taught respect on pain of things fairly sorely imagined by the average citizen. A girl that was trained from birth to be seen, not heard. Kiriko took a long step backward, now peering into the den where the Kaicho's gaze had been trained. The glint of light off of scales-- ah. "Do you need help?" Not entirely clear on how to help, but she'd be here to assist all the same. |
