Hidden in the sun

The sun was touching the horizon and slowly heading down, spreading shadows across the landscape.  The glare of the sun hid the golden tiger until Kotori had gotten quite close.  The beast burst from its hiding spot, charging the large wolf, leaping with the foolish plans of a quick victory.

Kotori felt a swell of rage that the cat had managed to surprise him.  The wolf dodged the cat's first attack, snapping at its front leg, missing, and swiftly aiming to run around the cat for a successful bite but the tiger had similar ideas.  Kotori snarled, stopped his forward motion, and spun his head around towards the tiger with the satisfaction of slashing the animal's muzzle before jumping backward.

The tiger was fast and while hateful it was quick to follow after Kotori.  Fast combat with two highly all-out offensive-style combatants.  Kotori felt the tiger’s teeth as he jumped away from a bite.  The teeth had raked flesh to leave streaks of blood, a promise of how close it had gotten to a successful bite.  The two had traded blows with each scaring a small amount.
