Time seemed to be flying by. When had Kotori last seen his father? He had always enjoyed spending time with his father when he’d been part of Valta. Still, Kotori had been so wrapped up with Valta and now, also spending time with Ochi, he hadn’t connected to any of his family outside of Valta in what must be ages.

Kotori made his way to the Armada borders, howling for his father. Sure, he could enter the turf but this was going to be dad and son time, not dad, son, and any other wolves hanging out in the area around them for their chat

"Kotori Fatalis"

The call at his border was unexpected, but always welcome. He dropped what he was doing, lifting his head to listen and be certain where the call came from. Once he had isolated its location, he fell into an easy trott. One that ate the distance between them, and then there was his Alpha son. He grinned wide at the tawny boy.

He didn’t hesitate, as he closed the distance between them he drew Kotori into an embrace, and kissed his brow. “It’s been some time, Kotori” He said. He hadn’t seen the boy since his mother had died. The thought faltered him a little. The attacks of grief had been infrequent lately, but never gone entirely.


"Speech"

Kotori waited, imagining what they might discuss and memories of what it was like being in the armada.  Honestly, most of those memories were in their older home though, the grasslands and beach closer to where Valta was now.

How could he not expect the embrace his father gave?  Dad was always big into hugs. Kotori of course did his part in the embrace and it did have a nice homey feeling to it. “Hi dad,” Ko replied, stepping back once the hug and kiss was finished, just enough so they weren’t pressing up on each other.  “Yeah, I was thinking it had been some time since we’d last seen each other.  How are you doing? How is – the rest of the family.” Mom was dead and he knew it.  How could he so quickly almost make such a huge mistake of asking on her?  Good that dad couldn’t read minds at least.

"Kotori Fatalis"

He smiled as his son stepped into the embrace, holding him tight before letting him go. It was… very good to see him. He found his eyes moving over Kotori’s body. Was he eating enough in Valta? There hadn’t been any sign of kids from him yet. “The rest of the family is doing well. Sometimes it seems it's growing by the minute.” He said fondly.

So many puppies, it had definitely mellowed the Warlord out rather a lot. ‘How about you, how’s Valta? Found any lovely ladies?” He teased his son gently. More grandbabies would never go amiss. Perhaps he could offer to take his youngest down to Valta at some point, get to know Kotori’s territory a little.


"Speech"

Kotori grinned at his dad’s question about Valta.  “It’s doing well.  We aren’t the largest pack certainly but I can say those who are in Valta are well skilled.  Asla’s been the biggest help to me, I’m glad she was willing to join the pack.”

Kotori paused to make a soft ‘hmm’ sound at mention of the ladies.  “I did recently bring in a new member to Valta.”Kotori shrugged, “She’s a beauty, A bit smaller than me, a mix of black and white.”  What was it about black and white wolves that he seemed to fall for?  “She was also a princess but, her prior pack no longer exists.  Just listening to her speak and how she holds herself though, there is no denying her noble lines” He wouldn’t go into all the details of that.  Heck, he only knew so much as it was.

"Kotori Fatalis"

The Warlord nodded his head, understanding and respecting his son's pride. He had created Valta from scratch, and had pulled his pack over every hurdle. He deserved that pride. At the mention of a woman, he raised a brow in surprise. He had been teasing, and hadn’t expected there to actually be someone. “She sounds lovely.” He said, remembering his fondness for one of Venom’s children.

“Perhaps you;d be down for me bringing the youngest litter to your pack at some point, letting them get to know your wolves, and I could meet her” He said, eyes light and teasing. But he truly was interested in seeing who had caught Kotori’s eye.
