His life had started here. Modesty might interject and say it was when he met her, but he would only agree to appease her feelings. Otherwise, it was here. In this cavern, on this ship (well on the beach, but anyway), where his life as a pirate, now a raider, would begin. The feeling was bittersweet as he approached the gangplank. His steps were slow, deliberate as he allowed his gaze to rove over every crevice, nook, cranny, notch, and screw of the ship. Even the creaking noises it made as a breeze wandered through the cave felt like home. He missed it, that was for sure, but it almost made him more determined to make the isle a home as well. Gil wanted something that others would remember him forever for. Standing at the bow of the ship, he takes a seat and looks back across the deck with a smile.
