Battle swirled around her, yet Aris stood still within it. Every time her gaze tracked a new pirate... Or not-pirate... entering the area, one of her own packmates was on it already. So she waited, impatiently, standing in plain sight as bait to draw anyone to her, Tansy hidden in the mass of fighters ready to fight beside her when one was drawn to a lone fighter.

A shriek from Dirk on the wing above her was her only warning in the din of the raid to her danger. She sprang to the right, twisting catlike to face behind her as she did, and saw she had barely missed being squashed under a much taller, lanky, brightly marked male. Wow, picking on someone half his height and sneaking up from behind to do it? She approved. Looking for fair fights was stupid. Of course, since it was against her it pissed her off. Mixed emotions.

"Pussy," she spat tauntingly,pouncing forward as she did to aim a slash of her teeth at the back of his lower right leg. Claws extended, she swatted upwards with a blow aimed for his balls,just for good measure.

Seeing battle was joined,Tansy leaped out with her own claws extended to attempt to slash at the male's face.

Ajax wasn't easy to catch unaware, even with his casual ambling he had his wits about him, knew sooner or later someone would throw themselves at him. It wasn't hard to see his opponent coming, least of all cause he was so massive, but Ajax wasn't too bothered. Wouldn't shirk the chance to fight someone bigger, maybe even better and more experienced than himself. It was all part of the fun, no? Nothing personal and all that, there was blood when you were born and more often than not there was blood when you died. It only made sense to shed some in the middle of the story too, keep things nice and balanced. Ajax twisted on his feet, easily pivoting out of the way of the charge attack. There was just so much of the black and blue guy, so many muscles to move, so much being telegraphed whether he realised it or not. Ajax's dead fish eyes watched him, admired him in the same way he'd take in a fancy new weapon, wonder if the edges were really sharp as they looked.

"You feel familiar." Ajax mused, head tilting slowly as he stepped forward, prowled really, movement laid back and casual. Slow. "We met before or something? In another life, maybe."

And then he dashed forward, swift and movements measured, fox tail flicking in obvious excitement, barely able to contain himself really. Tooth, claw, horns, tail. Ajax was sharp by look and nature.  Extending his claws he aimed to make a grab for the larger wolf, hoped to grab onto his scruff and rip down. It was all loose skin, no real harm would be done but it might sting a little, if he hit the mark.

One minute she was nipping playfully at her opponent's chest and then her scruff was being grabbed and the other girl was putting pressure on her and Flurry felt herself falling. She twisted to avoid falling on her limbs which had started to bend painfully. But when she hit the ground it was with her back which wasn't any less painful. Flurry grunted, wincing before opening her eyes to look up at the smaller girl. "Well I certainly know when I'm outmatched." She said, the tension flowing out of her body, she was submitting, easily. She flashed the other girl a grin. "I'll take you up on your invitation sometime though, provided you promise to be my guide." Flurry wiggled herself free, jumped to her paws, tossed the other girl a wink and sauntered her way back into the pack lands. -Exit Flurry- "Speech"

The yearling was still not fully waking up but, as his body collided with the heavier form of the Armada wolf, the boy suddenly feels himself jolted into reality. Maybe he should be angry or incensed that these wolves are trespassing on their new home but, right now, as he feels the male grab hold of his scruff with painful pressure, all Calico Jack can feel is… joy.

Fighting is in his blood and any chance he has to prove himself will always be met with delight.

A smile is on his maw as grapples the taller male, back paws digging deep into the sand to help balance him as the stranger leans his considerable bulk into him. While the bite hurts, the boy’s happiness is not affected and he continues to grin stupidly as he strikes out.

Jaws part as Jack aims to try and grab ahold of the man’s neck, aiming for the spot just behind his ears in the hopes of gaining control. At the same time, he leans into the male, hoping to make the man stumble so that the boy can claim a pin and come out the victor.

She hadn't been expecting to come out on top, but here she was again with the prince pinned to the ground beneath her. She smiled with delight and planted a quick kiss on his cheek. "Come find me when yer can." She winked before peeling away to find her next opponent, after all, it was her home they were trying to come into this time, and she had a very important job to do.

Honey-hued eyes scanned the battlefield seeking out her next opponent. She caught her sister being thrown to the ground and glared. Now that just wouldn't do...although, maybe she liked it that way if her wink and saunter was anything to go by. She shook off any protective feelings with a shrug and closed the distance between them. Flurry had been a better match for the other wolf height wise, and she could already tell she would have to be careful where she put her feet. "Ready fer round two?" She asked with a raised brow, lowering her center of height and spreading her paws to better find her balance. No need to ambush this one, she might not be so willing to see her, and Deluge wasn't keen to risk her pretty face with a retaliatory bite.

The words the raider spoke startled Basilisk. Not enough to throw him off his stride, but enough so that it showed on his face for a moment. He was certain that he would remember seeing this wolf if they had crossed paths before. Perhaps he meant Bas’s father? There was a great deal of Azure in him. Or maybe Azure was close to his thoughts more often than not.

But for now, the fight was all that mattered. He angled his bone spurs defensively as he collided with the red toned wolf. Hoping to get a scrap in if their bodies mingled well enough. As he met with the other wolf, Ajax managed to get a claw into his scruff. Bas responded by raising his own paw in an attempt to smack the other wolf’s away. Claws extended to strengthen his ability to grab.

Through the cacophony of the raid surrounding them, Scald hadn't heard the shriek from above. His own bird companion was off... not being helpful so there was that. Instead, as he launched himself through the air, he got to watch as the girl whipped around and basically shot daggers at him with her eyes. Her hissing taunt was not lost on his ears - unlike the alerting call from her companion. A smirk twisted on his lips as he felt his paws collide with sand. "I couldn't help myself," Scald purred back just before he felt the swipe of her teeth against the back of his right leg. Reacting quickly before her claws could swipe at his family jewels, Scald yanked his rear hind leg away and managed a sloppy sort of scooting hop so that he was instead perpendicular to the girl rather than parallel. Her claws still managed to rake along his right thigh to leave a superficial scratch. "Honey, take me out to dinner first," Scald retorted as he lunged toward her side where the tender skin stretched from the back of her ribcage toward her thigh. Aiming to grab hold near her spine, he worried not for the other companion that hurdled toward his face. Stretching out from the hidden folds of his scruff, his scarlet kingsnake, Bando, made a strike toward Tansy in retaliation to keep Scald's face safe. S C A L D

Unfortunately for him, Sirius would get the best of him. The sheer force and pressure of the Warlord's weight against his paws was too much. Peeling away as quickly as he could before his bones would be crushed, Gil made space between them. His breathing was slightly heavy and blood coating his tongue, he smiled. "Until next time, old man," Gil hissed before turning to take off toward the outskirts. He wouldn't leave his raiders to fight alone. No, instead he would wait along the sidelines until the last man stood.

Bronze's own stance on fighting was quite different. It was something he wanted to do to defend his pack, and those he loved - he didn't feel the same type of joy when they began their fight, but he felt proud nonetheless. He wanted to prove his worth and capabilities to the Armada and in doing so, he supposed he felt his own type of joy, though his demeanor was more serious than anything. His attack was successful and he tightened his grip on the younger boy's scruff. It wasn't enough to disrupt his balance entirely, though he hadn't expected to win so easily. Instead he felt a bite land on the spot just behind his ears, and in retaliation Bronze would finally release his hold and aim to pull free from his grip. Though surely it would hurt, he hoped he could use his weight to force him down once he was free. Aris couldn't help the explosive snort of laughter at the kid's attempt to joke around. Dropping into a low crouch to try to avoid most of his bite, she'd succeed only in the bite lacerating over her hips instead of gripping at her flank. Hopefully he got a mouthful of spikes for his trouble. Tansy had leaped back with a yowl, though she'd at least showed the kid's second companion. Aris grunted in pain, twisted her upper body up and around towards his head, then forced out through gritted teeth, "Sorry, baby, you aren't my type," as she sent her unsheathed claws aiming in a strike towards his face, hoping that she could at least blind him with blood so he'd have to back down.

Truthfully, the lavender girl is perplexed with the shameless flirting that the Raider girl offers and she almost loses focus of their fight. But fighting has drummed into Andy since the day she opened her eyes and, in the end, she claims the victory over the flirtatious Raider. As soon as it is obvious that she has won, the purple girl releases her hold on her opponent and dances backward to allow the stranger a chance to stand. A grin is on her maw as the Raider concedes defeat and takes one more chance to perplex the already confused girl.

Brows knit together as the Raider winks at her and saunters away, leaving a dumbfounded Andy in her wake to question what the hell had just happened and why she liked the attention the girl had given her. Thankfully, another Raider appears, questioning if she ready for round two and the dusty lavender girl quickly shifts her focus. Dipping her horned head in agreement, she lifts her head and flashes the new Raider a smile as she says, “Of course! Holy cow. You actually… glow!”

For a moment, the smile falters and falls into a look of awe as she takes in the bioluminescent glow that makes this Raider stand out in the soft light of dawn. But there is a fight to be had and Andy hastily shakes off the distraction as the Raider settles into her defensive stance. The Armada girl is quick to set her own defenses before she is rocketing across the short distance that separates her from her opponent. The glowy girl is taller than her and Andy knows she needs to change tactics for this fight.

As she nears the stranger, Andy gives two sharp whistles and a dark form drops from the sky above. Aquila, the girl’s goshawk, beats her wings heavily as she aims for the Raider’s face, trying to distract and shift the girl’s attention from Andy without using her talons. At the same time, the lavender girl shifts her paws, aiming to put herself on the right side of the taller wolf while her teeth flash out as she aims a bite at the Raider’s front ankle. Hopefully, she can try and pull the leg out from under the Raider and set her off balance.

Ajax let out a barking laugh when he felt a bone spur dig into him, pushing against the meat of his shoulder, hard enough to hurt. A smart wolf would have pulled away, tried to escape the sharp and pointy bits, but the feeling sent a rush of thrill through the raiders' system. Similar to how it felt to be swimming out of his depth, the great void below, reaching out for the white of his paws. Threatening to drag him down to the great abyss below. And he didn't think it was so bad, would return again if he could find a way back- that's what all this fighting was about, chasing the high of it, the danger, the euphoria on the edge of life itself.

Now that he'd gotten a nice claw full of his scruff, Ajax figured it was about time they ended this no? Should he be able to still hold on, he was gonna give his paw a nice twist, tugging and ripping at his scruff. Sort of a clawed-wolf noogie against his neck.
