Her and her dad had had a pretty good yell. Well, mostly her. He had allowed Dread and Andy to join the raid. Then, he had denied her entry into the competition for the highest rank, and allowed Andy to enter. It wasn't to do with her age. It was her. He was as bad as Azure, but at least he had been upfront about it. She was mad, but she wouldn't have made such a big deal out of it if it wasn't for Beru. He'd missed their rendezvous and she hadn't seen him for a while. She was worried. She knew he came from Tojo and it made sense to start there. So she had a meltdown with her dad, and guilted him into letting her go to the Hollows.

She had sent a bird to Briar already, and her lovely older sister already had her back. When the bird had returned saying Briar would escort her to Tojo to ask about Beru, she had almost cried. And Kite didn't cry. It caused her crystals to burn.

She was a little mad when her escort down was Bas, but she managed. She gave him the silent shoulder, and was antsy when she reached the border. Bas seemed just as happy to leave her there. Departing before Briar even arrived. She didn't care. She raised her head and called for her sister.

Ever since her sister's bird came to tell her about her sister's desire to visit Auster again and the purpose behind it, she had been listening for Kite's howl and waiting for her to appear. She knew all too well what it was like to care about and be worried about someone who lived somewhere else so agreeing to escort her sister to see the boy that she had eyes for was a no brainer. She knew her father would never have agreed and while she wasn't a fan of lying to the Warlord, she didn't see the harm in hiding the full truth either as long as she was still involved to make sure Kite was safe.

She had been in the garden with Solaire when she heard her sister's call from the border and her ears immediately perked at the sound. She tasked Marigold with keeping an eye on her inquisitive son to make sure he didn't get into any herbs he shouldn't be touching and then turned to lope out toward the edge of the plains to meet her. As she neared the border she noticed Kite was alone which was surprising since she had fully expected her to have an escort of some kind with her. She did smell Basilisk's scent, but the massive wolf was nowhere to be seen. Clearly he had deposited her here and quickly made his retreat. She frowned a bit at that, but quickly brushed off the thought before she came over to greet Kite, saying, "Welcome back," as she leaned in to give her sister a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek. "I'm so glad to see you again! I do wish it was just a visit for fun, of course, but I'm happy you're here regardless."

She was antsy and impatient, even during the short wait for Briar to arrive. Who knew what was going on with Beru right now? Was he okay? Was this his way of saying they were over? If they had ever really been anything to begin with. She had thought they were building something. Making plans for her to move to her pack, to spend time with him. She shook her head, and pinched her paw with a claw until the angry tears she could feel building dissipated. She couldn’t cry, doing so caused her a lot of pain. The tears didn’t fall past her crystals easily, and instead built up behind them. Fogging her vision, and burning her eyes.

Just as she rejoined control of her emotions, Lioness alerted her to Briar’s approach. Sitting up a little straighter, she waited for Briar to stop before her. She felt the other wolf wrap her in a hug, and kiss her cheek. She returned the embrace with a very quick squeeze, and then jumped to her paws. “I’m happy to see you, too Briar. Hi, it’s good to see you… can we go now? Are you ready? Can we go?” She asked, throwing in enough to cover what she hoped was a polite greeting before her anxiety overrode everything else.

She was certainly not surprised that her younger sister was overly eager to get to the secret reason behind her trip to Auster. If she had suddenly stopped hearing from Artorias and didn't know what was going on with him–even back when they were young and not properly a couple–she would have undoubtedly been the same way. She had, after all, struck out on her own without her father knowing to check on him when she heard the news of his mother's illness after all. "I can be if you're certain you don't want to rest your paws a bit," she replied with a small, understanding smile. "Auster isn't nearly as large as Boreas, but Tojo is still on the opposite side of the continent from here so it'll be a fairly long walk."

Unsurprisingly her sister was still eager to get going so Briar tipped her head up a bit, looking up at the branches above her until she spotted Willow waiting for her near by. The falcon was ever present when she was not in the castle. With a soft whistle she got the bird's attention and told her, "Go tell Marigold that I'll be out for a while and to continue watching Solaire until Artorias gets back from his patrol. Let Art know I should be home in time for dinner as well. You can tell him I'm with Kite." With her message given and Willow taking off to fly up toward the castle to deliver them, Briar turned her focus back toward Kite. "This way," she said with a nod of her head as she began to lead her sister away from the plains and across Auster toward the lands claimed by Tojo-kai.
