Cleaning Up!

As the newly appointed King, he wanted to make sure he was doing right by the pack. Which meant making sure their new home was at least liveable. The abandoned and dilapidated resort didn’t have to be any sort of luxury for the time being, but they would at least have to clear out any animals and large debris. With the hopes of growing the pack, Gil wanted to make sure they had plenty of room. He moved through the front entry way, ducking beneath a curtain of growing vines, to survey the dimly lit area. It would be a spacious meeting or hangout spot for whenever the weather was too poor to be outside. During his look around the big open room, he noticed a large chunk of the ceiling had collapsed close to the middle. If he could get that piece moved out of the way, it would provide better sunlight and more room for even a fire during the winter season. Approaching it, he began to shove and pull at it to see which way would be best for removing it. ”Speech” ’Thought’ |

This was the first time he'd ever been on an island. There weren't really any near Valhalla, but since they moved here, he found all sorts of things intriguing. Life here was so much different! A little chaotic, a little disorderly. Whereas Valhalla had been a quiet existence, The Raiders Hollow seemed to be bustling in one form or another. He ran around the beaches, eventually leaving it to go explore the building that sat abandoned. The yearling gazed up at it with interest, noting all the vines and ivy and bird crap that covered the structure. Heading in, he ducked beneath the ivy that hung over the entrance and almost immediately heard grunting and scraping. Huh, was he trying to move that big slab of stone on his own? With a grin, he approached and started to help Gil shove so they could clear the space. "Lemme help, old man!" "Talk," 'Think.' |

As he struggled to move the slab out of the way, he heard the scuffle of paws behind him. One ear turned to hear the approach of someone running up to him. Old man? The term is not as endearing as he had hoped, but the youngster wasn't exactly wrong either. The grey beginning to sprinkle around his muzzle was an indicator of his growing age. All he does is grunt in response as Pheonix begins to help him shove the slab out of the way. "Just a lil' more," he says through gritted teeth as he pushes his shoulder into the fallen stone with as much strength as he can muster.
