He wasn't sure how he ended up here or what this place was, but there was almost no shelter and the dark sky above seemed to threaten rain, if not a storm. He shivered in the cold, pressing on in search of shelter. He figured unless he found some sort of cavern around here, then he'd be shit out of luck. All he could see was mud and stone in what appeared to be an empty lake bed...none of which would do him any sort of good. He grumbled as he made his way around the perimeter, the wind threatening to push him over into the slick mud.

Dulla was having a foul day. the weather had taken a particularly ugly turn, and subsequently she’d spent the last few hours trying to find some form of shelter with which to hide out the oncoming storm. she could smell rain in the air, heavy and oppressive against her tongue, threatening to upend all over her any moment now. of course, she’d ended up in this wasteland - cause that was just how things went, apparently. it was wet and mushy and just generally unpleasant, squishing between her toes and drawing a grimace to across her face. thankfully the appearance of an unfamiliar man distracts her from the unpleasant from her situation. ”nice weather we’re having, huh?” she calls out, making a disgusted face.

He grumbled and muttered curses beneath his breath as he desperately searched for shelter. Though he highly doubted he'd find any out here. Weren't there at least some boulders or something he could hide between? Underneath? A den or a hole he could hide in until the weather was better? Would that even be a good idea? If it stormed, there was the potential that a den would flood...so maybe the boulders...or hell, even a measly little tree would help, wouldn't it!? He groaned out loud in frustration before a voice reached him, causing his head to pop up in alarm. He certainly wasn't expecting someone else to be out here in this wasteland!
At least he was smart enough to detect the sarcasm in her voice, however. "Yeah, the weather's been greeaat..." He shot back, casting a dismayed glance to the sky. "Guess I'm not the only idiot stuck out here."

Dulla grimaced in agreement, contorting her face in a comically dramatic gag. “did we all do something to piss Mother Nature off? because i’m pretty sure i’d remember if i had.” truth be told, she was glad for the company, if only to have a fellow misfortunate to commiserate with. for surely misfortunate was what they were; why else would they be out here in such dismal conditions?
“be honest,” she continued, a teasing hint in her voice, “was it you? you can tell the truth, i promise not to be mad.” taking another step, she winced as yet more mud squished loudly between her toes. “well, maybe I’ll be a little mad.”
