She was back, and she'd keep coming back until the breath left her body or...well...honestly, she could still see herself coming here even if she was old and decrepit. So probably the only thing that would stop her coming here was if she was in fact, dead and cold. She flashed a grin at her companions as she sauntered through the battlefield, looking for yet another fight, but this time, depending on how she felt and who turned up, well...let's just say she was interested in sparring with terms. Rivin had spent some time with Calico Jack after he rescued her from nearly drowning. She had started to reflect on the weird shit that happened whenever she got angry. She lost herself, blanked out like she fell asleep. It was bizarre. She'd promised him to be more careful, originally coming to Boreas to gather more herbs to bring back to the islands and try to grow in her makeshift garden. But seeing the lands they used to live in bothered her. Bitterness crept into her heart and she kept going toward the Battlefield. She needed more practice. She felt like she was going to go mad with her need to become better at fighting. She knew she needed to confront her father before the rift between them was unrepairable… she had looked up to him. He had always seemed to be so cool, someone she could respect. Though she responded to his disappointment with anger she knew it was because it hurt he was disappointed. That he would look at his kids that way at all. She looked up, not even realizing that she had come into the vicinity of a combatant. Rivin bristled, slipping into her defenses as she saw the woman's own ready stance. "Hope you're ready! Rivin charged, barreling right for her opponent. She had seen others feint to one side or the other but not her. She aimed to slam directly into the woman unless she dodged.

It wasn't long before someone found her. A girl with antlers, an angry-looking girl, a girl that looked like she was ready to fight! The girl shouted at her, and Medusa quickly readied herself. Oh goody! She didn't even have to ask! Without hesitation, the striped girl would charge at her, and Medusa...wasn't quite quick enough. Rivin managed to slam into her, sending The Wraith scrambling to keep her footing. Now that the girl was up and closer, however, Medusa could smell her. She smelled...familiar. But also not. "You smell like someone I know!" Had to be...but she couldn't quite place it. Now that they were up close and personal, Medusa flashed her grin at the angry girl and she dropped to the ground, teeth snapping toward Rivin's forelimb. Hopefully, with her sudden drop to the ground, the girl would lose her balance and cartwheel over her and fall on her face! While Rivin had hoped that her attack might land, she hadn’t expected it to land successfully. Her body would collide with the older woman, the other femme scrambling to keep her footing. She heard the woman call out, saying she smelled familiar. It caused Rivin’s focus to waver. Wait, did this skeletal marked wolf know her father or something? One of her brothers? Maybe she recognized the pack scent of the Raiders? It wasn’t like she had long to think about it. She was still coming forward, unable to slow her momentum and come to a full stop after her slam. She would catch sight of the woman dropping as she tried to catch herself… only to be caught by the other woman’s teeth gripping her foreleg.

Rivin would keep heading forward, but as she did so she twisted her body, hoping to prevent falling on her face while also angling her antlers toward the woman’s back and side. She was trying to roll over Medusa’s head and off down to the skeletal woman’s right. If she got lucky Rivin would still land another attack and cut through the woman’s fur. If not, well, she was going to be in a heap on the ground. Probably what she deserved for underestimating an opponent.

Okay, she hadn't quite considered the antler thing. The angry girl rolled over her, and in the process, she had managed to move in a way where her antlers would cut her side. Medusa recoiled with a yelp as she pulled forward out of reaction and instinct more than intentionally as if her tail had just caught fire. In the process, she aimed a reactive kick at Rivin, not really minding where her kick might get placed if it did hit. Whirling around, she sought to practically body slam the angry girl. "Horned girl looks like she needs a hug!" She exclaimed as she sought to wrap her forelegs around Rivin's neck, and well...give her a rather aggressive hug.
