Lets be boaring
Khran

Kotori was going hunting with Khran. For old time's sake, he had suggested they find boar in the weeping woods. It was one of the first areas he’d ever learned to hunt and one of the earlier prey species. It didn’t take too long before signs of the boar were spotted with fecal matter. Ko also spotted what looked like possible footfalls under some debris along the ground.
“You take the lead here this time,” Kotori advised. Hunting was fun and Kotori normally would take the lead right away with expectations others do whatever he’d say but this was different. Now he wanted to see Khran's current skill level. Did he need a lot of lessons and a few pointers, or should he be teaching others? So long as the guy was a hard worker Kotori wouldn’t worry about current abilities. Solid workers would become good, and those who were good would become great.

Kotori had aroused him from where he slept with Varushka to go hunting. A task he knew could not go ignored due to the circumstances. Under a new leadership, Asla no longer being their primary, Khranbari had an inkling to which the larger male would want to test him. Curious as to why he was given the rank of Raita. So, he pulled away from the warmth of his mate and followed behind until they reached the area of weeping branches. Their looming presence beautiful, yet depressing in the same way.
His nose flared over the stench of boar dung. Some quite warm and fresh. Others cold and hardened. Kotori’s words captured by a single flick of an ear. Khran said nothing as he slunk down into the brush. Using them to shield most of his body due to the keen senses of the pig like prey. Their heads snapping up at the smallest of movements. This one in particular happened to be a family of five. Three piglets and a set of parents. Something quite rare to be seen; however, it made perfect sense. Spring had just arrived and most of these creatures were sticking together for the time being.
Khranbari’s tail straightened out in parallel to his spine. His steps calculated. Measured as he continued forward. Regardless of what he decided, it would take both of them to bring down the father boar. He would be the one to protect his family. Much like any animal when it came to their young.

Kotori followed behind Khran. His attention was equal parts on the trail of the prey as it was on the smaller wolf. The pigs were spotted and Kotori eyed the lot of them. So, would Khran choose one of these? Pigs weren’t to be taken lightly. They could run and they could also fight and this was a pair of adults. If they decided to fight it would be more work than finding a lone pig. Personally, Kotori enjoyed a harder score and it certainly gave Khran a chance to show off well.
Kotori followed behind Khran. The wolf was doing a good job of remaining silent and showed confidence in his motions. Kotori had his preferred way of handling this but he waited to see or listen to what Khran would come up with. He’d spotted the prey, now could he work as a team unit to take them down?
