Bleh. She was feeling like crap. Eating more. Which was probably contributing to her getting fatter, which she was noticing. Umbra told her she was pregnant again, but she didn't believe her! No way it happened after that one time with the Red Man! Right? Right!? She groaned as she felt her belly rumble again. She had eaten more that morning than she usually ate for breakfast! The thought of eating more, however, was making her feel nauseous. Maybe she was getting sick. She figured it was time to seek out Rue so her little gremlin could tell her. She trusted her kids. Trusted the wolves she cared for. But Rue would be the first one she'd see about this. Not that she didn't trust Umbra, mind. She just...wanted a second opinion.

"Speech"

Her mother seemed a little off these days. Well...more than usual, anyway. Rue had been noticing. Observing the goings on in the pack, even if she didn't show it. She was far too quiet, and if it weren't for her markings, she probably wouldn't even be thought of as one of Medusa's. The yearling was in her den, sorting out the herbs she had collected, tossing out the old and replacing them with new ones. She frowned when she realized she was out of nightshade...had she used the rest of it on that tea she was experimenting with? Welp, looked like it was time to go get some more. Abandoning her task, she got up and headed out, slinging a temporary pack over her back. As she made her way to the border, she spotted Medusa and her...roundness. When did her mother get so fat? Had she been that round a few days ago? Or had Rue just missed it since she'd been out and about looking for new and interesting plants to try out? She tilted her head as her mother came up to, and Rue's red gaze slid over her mother's not-so-thin form. "Hello, Medusa. Mother looks...fat." Okay, she just couldn't help herself with that one. "Speak"

She halfheartedly grinned at Rue as she approached her, though truth be told, it wasn't her child's comment that made that caused her weak attempt, it was the way she was feeling. She felt like she wanted to puke, but refrained. "Medusa does not feel well, does Rue have something to help?" She assumed it was something she ate. But deep down, she knew more Rue's, Morticia's, and Tazzy's were on the way. At least now she knew how it happened the first time, she just couldn't remember how or who or where. It had all been fuzzy. A blur. It felt like a weird dream that was just...blank. And how the turns tabled, she just about did the same thing with someone else. Maybe it was her subconscious that drove her to it, or she just didn't really know any better. The guy didn't die, so no harm, no foul, right? If he had been really mad about it, she was sure he would've come knocking a while ago. "Medusa is fat...sorta. And she thinks she knows why, so that is why Medusa has come to see Rue!"
