The last time she had come out this way, Deluge had found herself set upon by a pack of hyenas, but it didn't take much with the way the snow lay heavy on the ground to realise that they hadn't stuck around. She paused to give herself a shake, it wasn't like she was relieved or anything, she could take them on! But she hadn't come here looking for a fight, she'd come here to raid another booze cache, the bottles slung over her hip were clinking rather emptily.
She had hoped to be on the move down south before the weather really kicked in, but they'd hit a hiccup between the raid and just general disorganisation. Sure the three of them could probably make it work, but a few extra bodies wouldn't hurt... Her nose scrunched as she shoved it beneath the crust of snow, inhaling deeper to try and pinpoint just where she had stashed her supplies. As she withdrew her head, snow clung to the bridge of her nose. Maybe it was over... here? She leapt, shoving her face into another snowbank. No this wasn't the place either.

He'd taken off for a while, wandering aimlessly while he considered the troubled reality he'd found himself in. Some bitch had slaughtered his mother in cold blood, and thus far she remained unavenged. It was a small miracle that he'd managed to find his twin brother so quickly after his escape from the usurper's hellhole. The two had been travelling together, wandering aimlessly for some time. So when they wandered through the snowy plains, they were wrapped up in idle conversation that felt as familiar as breathing. Viscera's towering form cut a path through the growing drifts while Ichor followed his tracks when it suited him. Trust Ichor to forgo the easy route in favour of hunting down field mice and voles to keep himself entertained.
The antlered giant that was digging through the snowbanks up ahead was a bit of a surprise, he hadn't expected to encounter someone as insane as his brother at this hour. He drew to a halt and watched her at work, shoving her head fully beneath the drifts in search of.. gods knew what. "You're seeing her too, yeah?" he directed the question to his twin with a sidelong glance, pinning his good eye on the much smaller figure of dappled slate and alabaster as he did. Flexing his talons into the frozen earth, he shook a few scattered flakes of snow from his head. Pulling his shoulders back, posture falling into the calm self assurance that he'd picked up as a princeling, he took a few more steps forward. "Lose something?" he called out with a wry grin, pale brow arched in question as he picked a path towards the flurry of chaotic movement which had assumed the form of a girl upon the plains.

Honestly Viscera had always been the one more likely to become a proper prince, y'know if you took Ghoul out of the picture. Not that Ichor had ever wished ill on his pink brother. He loved all his littermates, even if Widow had always been a bit of a bitch, like mother like daughter it seemed. He loved his mother too, swear. He wasn't exactly happy with the news she'd been murdered. It had been some time shortly before he'd decided being kidnapped wasn't that much fun, especially when your kidnapper was hardly around. Oh well, he was happier being back with his much bigger twin anyways. No doubt when he learned who had murdered their mother he'd be pretty damn angry about it, but they had no clues as far as he was aware. Not that they had really reconnected with their siblings much. It seemed a few of them had decided it was easier to just stay put than raise hell like they'd been instructed! Okay so maybe he did think a little badly about his siblings. Not enough to want to see them hurt badly for it but enough he might be tempted to fight them about it. No one else but him or Vis were allowed to do that though, not even their older siblings! The small Klein man had been bounding through the snow earlier but with so much to try and wade through he'd exhausted even his seemingly endless well of energy at some point and it was just much easier to walk in the big trench Viscera had carved. Besides all the rodents had gone to ground when the snow had fallen, he wasn't gonna find any to add to his collection, so might as well just enjoy not straining himself for once. "All I can see is your big ass Vis." Ichor said teasingly as he slipped between his bigger twin's limbs to try and see whatever it was his brother had spotted. He saw... White. Ichor frowned and lifted his gaze skyward trying to see anything above the massive drift they were already wading through. Viscera took a few more steps forwards and Ichor scooted himself back, until he was in prime position to launch himself at his brother's rump and drag himself up whatever height was left, sorry Viscera's flesh but the smaller man needs a vantage and his teeth are a bit nasty. He was as gentle as he could be, he'd have an easier time with this if he had Widow's paws, or Vis' talons more likely. Pulling himself up onto Viscera back he strolled up behind his brother's head, squinting against how much brighter it was up here. |

Her head was deep in the snow when someone called out to ask her if she lost something, her half a tail gave a wave to show she'd heard them and she wasn't pissed at the company, as her teeth finally wrapped around the glass neck of a bottle and she heaved with a triumphant (if muffled) “Ah ha!” She'd have to dig to grab out more if her company wanted to share, but she was quickly realising that other wolves weren't as likely to partake as the raiders were, so she would hold off on expending the effort for now.
Depositing the bottle in the snow at her feet, she turned her head towards where the noise had come from, taking a minute to blink twice, no three times... It certainly wasn't oxygen deprivation making her see double, at least not this time. The first wolf had a second set upon his back, their facial markings reversed. “Nah, I found it!” She responded her tail continuing it's welcoming wave. “Yer th' drinkin' types or nah?” It was an offer to join her, if they wanted, after all, now she'd found one, the rest couldn't be too far away, could they?

Rather than providing a reasonable response to the question, Ichor provided him with a set of sharp claws tracking up his hind leg and onto his spine. Thankfully he was about three times his twin's size, or that might have broken his back. He was equally thankful that the talons had gone to him, and not Ichor- at least in this moment. However, he could feel the warm welling of blood in a trail up his thigh and hip. Lovely.
Now that Ichor had a view of the strange fae that was busily rummaging through snow drifts and casting a soft glow against the surrounding powder, it seemed like neither of them were particularly certain about what they were looking at. When the she wolf raised her head, she brought a pair of antlers up with her, coated in snow. For a moment, the three wolves stared mutely at each other, before the fae replied to his initial question in a very.. distinct accent. The odd-eyed male wasn't certain he'd ever heard one quite like that before. She asked if they were the drinking type, holding her prize aloft in her jaws.
With a roll of his shoulders and a shake of his pelt, he rudely dislodged his twin from between his shoulders. "If I ever turn down a free drink, I should be put down immediately." he quipped with a grin, sauntering closer. As he approached, he found himself dwarfed by the fae in height. Though he noted that he probably had more bulk working in his favour. He hesitated a few steps shy of the stranger, tipping an ear back to check that his twin was still alive. "I'm Viscera, this is my brother Ichor. You are..?"

Ichor watched as the woman turned to look at them, hefting an impressive wrack... of antlers. And alcohol! Ichor had opened his mouth to respond to her question when he was suddenly sinking into a snow drift. One moment he'd been on his brother's back and the next he was surrounded by dark and cold and could only hear the other wolves' voices as muffled mumbles. It took a moment for his brain to catch up and then he was pushing himself up through the snow until his head popped out of the drift and the small man took a loud gulp of air. "-hor. You are..?" Was all he caught of his brother's introduction. "Were you telling her what an asshole you are?" Ichor struggled free of the snow and once he was on more stable ground shook himself out so vigorously he slid on the icy earth. "If he didn't then you should know he's an asshole." Ichor settled himself on his haunches resigning himself to the fact he just wouldn't get to see the wolf he was talking too because of the snow, since apparently he wasn't welcome to scale his brother, as tempting as it was to get his fangs in Viscera again in retaliation. Sometimes he thought everyone else forgot that his eye line sometimes couldn't even clear the grass, let along piles of snow. Well if she thought him rude she could go kick rocks, it was Viscera fault he was this small anyways, at least if you believed his mother's tale of finding him in his brother's arms at birth. He'd probably sucked all of Ichor's power in the womb. That's how that worked right? |

Deluge held back her snicker, though a smirk was clear on her face as the two moved forward. Like halves of a whole, one large, one small, their markings mirrored. Viscera and Ichor. She passed over the first bottle and reached back into the hole to grab two more, using the snowbank to hide her giggle when Ichor declared Viscera to be an asshole.
She rolled a second bottle towards the brothers and sat herself down, working to free the cork from her own bottle. “Deluge, currently o' Raiders Hollow, but hopin' ter strike out an' form a band, if I ever get m' shit in a pile.” She lifted her bottle in an attempt at cheers, although to what she wasn't quite sure, so she tipped the bottle back and took a swig for good measure. “What brings you fine gentleman out on such a cold an' blustery day?”
“Speech”
It wasn't a long wait before Ichor was bouncing up from the snow drift, loudly lamenting his torment by calling him an asshole. In fact, his twin went so far as to reiterate to the strange fae that he was, in fact, an asshole. What a shocker, that anyone who put up with Ichor on a regular basis would also be a bit of a prick. Something something osmosis. Talon bedecked paws caught the bottle of alcohol that was rolled through the loose powder towards him, dark talons making a loud clink as they touched. He patted it once or twice to bury it in the snow a ways, keep it from wandering off. Then he swept away some snow from around himself, soft powder easily flying away with each sweep of his paw until the harder packed snowfall from previous weeks was left. A little bit of space for lounging! As the fae introduced herself, her name oddly fitting of the weather they'd been experiencing lately. He dipped his head in polite acknowledgement, and rolled his weight onto one hip as he settled onto his ass. Deluge mentioned that she was considering striking out on her own, leaving the pack to make a name for herself with a band of her own. He hummed thoughtfully, a pale brow quirked. "Sowing chaos instead of maintaining territory?" he questioned with a wry smile, heeding the name of her current pack. She also seemed the type, her aura reeked of untamed energy. The ghostly male freed up the bottle of alcohol from its snowy tomb, and used his teeth to remove the cork. He kicked one of his unoccupied back legs in Ichor's direction, knocking away even more snow so that the nearly invisible male could make his way over and enjoy the liquor. "Ich and I could certainly use some of that." he added with a snicker. ”Speech” ’Thought’ |
