It was time that he visited Bae-Syl alone. The rainbow-marked young man had come into their pack and his presence had shifted Lucy. Just as the winged man noticed it had when they were together before Ethne was formed. He saw the difference Bae made in his daughter’s life. He was a light, and when he was around she smiled brighter, laughed louder…  They cared about each other. Needed each other. More than anything, Gav wanted to express that he was glad Bae-Syl was here. He had faith in the young man. That he could beat back his demons, that he could thrive here in Ethne. Bellamy had never considered herself able to be a pack wolf, much like Bae, and yet, here she was, standing at the head of Ethne, providing them shelter, safety, and being the first to interact with other packs. He moved under the trees, sniffing the air. Hmm.. was Bae-Syl patrolling right now? What would be the best way to find him? "Speech" 'Thought.'

When I fall apart, Promise in the dark He had stayed up a long time the night before, doing everything he could to make sure his section was clear and no trespassing had or would occur. So like the good kid he was, he had decided it wouldn't hurt to sleep in a little, though when Luce went to get up he had no option but to follow suit. He had been up now though for some time and was not only checking the border, but his traps along it. He had stopped to check one and was pulling one that had been triggered by a wild dik dik down when he heard Gav approach. He didn't stop though. He was on his back legs with a vine in his mouth and lowering it so he could get the dead dear out of it. These traps were great. They were gonna make him and luce fat for sure. When the dear was close enough to the ground he stopped letting the vine slide through his mouth and pulled it to the tree where he looped the end of the vine so he wouldn't have to throw it over the branches again. He then lowered himself and went for the prize he had caught. Working on getting the snare noose off its front leg. That is what Gav would find this morning. Gavroche decided he would just have to keep pressing on through Ethne’s secondary territory in search of the man. He didn’t want to call for him and potentially alert Lucy to his plan. Not that he suspected that Bae-Syl would be problematic. If anything, he had only brought light to his daughter’s life. The tiny man’s green gaze scanned the area, on the lookout for the rainbow-marked man, as well as being mindful of the signs of any of Bae-Syl’s snares. It seemed the man was an adept hunter and Gavroche had been grateful for that as well. Thanks to Bae-Syl’s snares, feeding the pack had become easier, along with his son’s hunting skill, and none of them had to worry about being hungry. Gavroche would spot Bae-Syl near one such snare, a dik-dik being worked loose. Ah, another piece of prey snagged. The tiny winged man started toward him with purpose, his green gaze sliding from the prey to Bae-Syl’s face. “Bae-Syl,” Gav called, announcing his presence. “Would you mind giving me a moment of your time? I’d like to speak to you… before Lucy comes looking for you.” Gavroche let out a soft chuckle. He was a little surprised his daughter wasn’t by Bae-Syl now. Seemed he had gotten lucky in finding him alone. "Speech" 'Thought.'

the rainbow marked man didn't start at the sound of Gavaroche approaching him. He was keen of hearing and smell after all and the tiny winged man didn't attempt to hide himself. HE continued his work though and glanced at the smaller male from the side of his eyes.

with a mouth full of the snare he used to catch the dik dik he would only nod to the smaller male. Though he raised his brow slightly at the lucy coming looking for him part. They did realize they didn't always have to be with one another and both was capable of taking care of themselves without the other right? though truth be told, yeah neither did seem to be far from the other ever. He perked his ears as he went back to working the dik dik lose, showing he was listening to Gav and what he had to say.

"Speech!"

Bae-Syl did not verbally greet him, though he did acknowledge the arrival of the winged man as he worked the dik dik he had snared free. Gavroche gave a small smile at this. Bae was dutiful, working hard not just for Lucy, but to fit into the pack he now called home. “Thank you.” The old healer dips his head to the rainbow male before taking a seat. It was a bit funny, just how Bae-Syl was similar to his own mate, Bellamy. Rough around the edges, but they would do anything for the one they loved. A smaller mate that they felt they needed to protect. The older wolf closed his eyes, chuckling softly. “You and Luce remind me a lot of how me and Bellamy had been when we first met. It is clear just how much you care about her, and you her.” Gav began, letting his eyes open as his gaze swept the creek. “...it means the world to us that she is back with her family and safe. I can’t thank you enough for that.” There was so much hope for the future. He fluffed up his feathers against his body and let his gaze flick back to Bae-Syl. “Tell me Bae… how do you feel about our Lucy? What does she mean to you?” "Speech," 'Thought.'
