Maki had heard that Grammy was unwell, that Uncle Chi had to step up and take the throne whilst she took a much-needed rest. it was good news for her uncle, she could easily imagine a fancy crown sitting atop his brow and he did have a very royal air about him. Firm and powerful, regal even. But she'd always known her Grammy as empress, it made her a little sad to know she wasn't doing so well, which was exactly why she'd put together a little gift basket. Little odds and ends she thought Venom might like, scrawled sketches, furs from beasts atop the Maw and samples of foods that were apparently Viking delicacies.

And of course, she couldn't leave Chimera out of the gift giving sesh' so she'd gotten him something too, a little congrats pressie that she hoped might add an extra spring to his step.

Stopping outside the border, where the grass grew greener thanks to the fancy lake in the center of the territory, she put down her little basket and let out a series of short but friendly enough boofing barks. Hi! Hello! It's me! Maki! was the general sentiment carried.

Lots of preparation needed to be done in order to move an entire pack to different lands. Part of that was making sure that everything from the former lands were packed up and that nothing valuable was left behind. As he was going through a crate of fishing supplies, a sweet little howl rang out. Chimera recognized it instantly and a little smile pulled at his lips. Abandoning his task, the man moved towards the border at a comfortable lope, only stopping when the form of his niece came into view.

"Maki," he greeted the girl, pulling her into an affectionate hug and bestowing a little nuzzle to her crown. Of all his nieces and nephews, she was his favorite, though he wouldn't admit that to the others. Seeing her made him quite happy and, if he had to take a break from his work, this was just the kind of break that he wanted.

Chimera waved a paw, inviting the girl to walk with him. "And what brings you to my border, young adventurer?" He remembered their last meeting full of storytelling and imagination. She was a bit more grown this time, but still, he doubted she'd lost any bit of her creative spirit. It had probably grown, in fact.

Maki was happy to be pulled into his embrace, they were about the same size, but her uncle had a lot more chunk in his trunk. It was naturally all muscle and Maki was all leg for days and days, maybe even to the end of this season. She leaned up, all happy to be nuzzled and grinned, eyes crinkling at the corners. There was nothing Maki loved more than family, except for her fake boyfriends, maybe.

Leaving her basket of goodies for one of Chi's servants or folks to collect, she bounded after him, eager to follow alongside him.

"Well I heard Grammy weren't feeling well so I got her some stuff to make her feel better. N'd you know, I gotcha some stuff too, as a congrats."
