-for island hopper-

She was sure there had once been a pack here. Now the once vibrant island lay silent and desolate. Despite the decay that surrounded her, Deluge found herself curious, what had it been like? Was it that different from the home her father had built on Daager Isle?

Her eyes slid over the various structures gradually being reclaimed by the earth. They still retained a sense of majesty and grandeur, standing as silent sentries amidst the encroaching jungle, their once elegant facades now shrouded in ivy and creeping vines. But it wasn't the main buildings that drew her in, not initially. It was one that was set apart.

On the northern edge of the island, a long, seemingly timber structure stood mostly intact, She pushed through the door to find stalls, separated with reinforced steel bars. Had these rooms served as some sort of prison, or slave facility? She didn't need a vivid imagination to think what might have gone on here, the visible claw marks standing out along the wooden walls of the partitions, and were those blood stains beneath the decaying straw that might have served as flooring? Her lip pulled down in a grimace. This certainly wasn't a place she wanted to linger. The air felt heavy, like it could possibly even be haunted (not that she put much stock in ghosts).

Escaping into the open air, Deluge took a steadying breath, turning her attention back towards the docks. She wondered if the ships had been picked clean, or if there might be some trinkets worth taking home to her younger siblings? She wouldn't know if she didn't go and look.

Overgrown. Ronan wasn't used to human ruins with so much greenery, everything back where he was from was grey and dull. Crumbling and falling apart with so much glass and rubble, looked exactly what came to mind when you thought of the end of the world. A crevice where everyone was just trying to scrape a living, little success to be found. Seemed like someone had lived here once, Ronan noticed it too, the comforts and former decadence of this place. Lucky for some.

He ventured his way back outside, carefully picking his way across the courtyard, scattered glass reflecting the sky above. Grey, probably was gonna rain soon, make the seas choppy and rough. Another night on this island wouldn't kill him, he'd endured worse. His gaze flitted to the docks, the floating vessels that had seen far better days. It was surprising most hadn't capsized yet, the smell of rusted metal reached his nose, some warped and bent out of shape by the bits of nearby debris that must have slammed against them in storms.

It was then he noticed movement, the tip of a tail as someone wandered out of view, towards the further end of the docks.

Deluge's attention was focused on the ships as they groaned and rocked with the growing waves. Her nose wrinkled at the scent of rain. She should have known, it was always raining in the south. She hadn't planned on staying out here, but if the weather was due to turn, at least there was no shortage of shelter to take.

It looked like any gangplanks that had once permitted access to the ships had long since fallen, some against the docks, some barely hanging onto the sides of the ships with rusted chains and tattered rotting ropes. She surveyed the open doors along the sides of the ships, and walked further down to see if there was any easier way to access the hulking metal beasts. No smaller ships to scale, so she would just have to chance it and jump for one of the openings, what was the worst that could happen? She'd end up falling down into the water below. It wasn't like there was anyone around to see her.

Stepping back to allow herself a run up, she jumped for a lower entrance, cat like claws catching in the rotting carpet that lined the hallway, her back end scrambling, feet slipping against the smooth metal and rivets that lined the ship. Gritting her teeth and pulling with all her might she finally made it inside. Head turning left and then right. Which way should she go first? There were stairs leading upwards to the left, so she headed that way first. She would go as high as she could and would work her way back to here.

She rubbed her shoulder against the corner as she moved upwards, marking her way back towards the exit.

Ronan shrugged, if someone else was exploring the Isle he saw no reason to bother them. Two was a crowd as far as he was concerned and a place like this almost had an air of loneliness to it, like it had once been bustling, thriving even, but no more. Maybe ruins just had that vibe, or he was reading a little too hard into things as he explored. He shrugged slightly to himself as he moved east, coming across an artificial beach, littered with warped plastic shapes that jutted out of the sand, umbrellas and deflated plastic rings. A hermit crab scuttled past, using a coconut as its shell.

Just offshore, he would have mistaken the white shape jutting out of the water as an iceberg- if the climate wasn't so tropical. If he had to hazard a guess he thought it was one of the floating things, smaller and clearly submerged, just the end poking out as the rest hid beneath the waves.

Through the inside of the once grand ship, suites abandoned, mirrors shattered and furniture rotting. Plush mattresses with scattered linen. Whatever had happened here, had happened quickly. She rifled through an open case, much like when she was a pup on the pirate ship, except this time there were more lacy bras hanging from her antlers and a lot less feather boas. Where was the fun in that? Stepping on a rubber ball sprayed an awful stinky water in her face and she retreated from the room coughing before making her way up to the rotting timber deck. The swirling clouds overhead were intensifying and she needed to get this godawful stink off her.

Amber gaze swept across the distant beach and she thought she spotted that guy from the crocodile island. She hadn't even gotten his name last time. A smirk crossed her face, and she ran for the railing soaring over the edge with an excited whoop, losing only one of the several lacy bras adorning her head. She plummeted into the water below, breaking the surface with a laugh, and she began to swim for the shore. Looked like they were gonna be stranded together again. Did this shit keep happening for a reason?

Movement caught his eye once more as the wolf he'd seen on Scaled Island leapt off of the floating vessel, landing hard in the water, creating a splash that even briefly disturbed the waves. He rolled his eyes, not overly amused by her antics and then too noticed the weather seemed to be turning. Behind them, there was plenty of shelter to be found, most of the island seemed to be covered, with foliage that had once been decorative was now growing wild and out of control. He hadn't explored the inside much for a reason, not because he thought threats were lurking within-though they very well might be- but old habits died hard.

Buildings that looked sturdy often weren't and the last thing he wanted was to die in some forsaken corner of the world, buried under rubble. There was plenty of other shelter to be found, little trellised gazebos, overhanging ledges and even a few trees that looked sturdy enough. They'd be fine, probably.
