There was alot to explore in the castle. So many passageways and halls and rooms to check out! There was only so far she could go until she got bigger, but today? She was exploring the lower level of the castle while mom and dad were tending to whatever adult duties they had. The young girl bounded her way toward the doorway that led outside, but stopped in her tracks when she noticed how hard it was raining out there. Frowning, she tiptoed to the open door and peeked out, ears flattening at the rumble of thunder overhead. Sighing, she sat down and stared at the rain and all the big puddles it was leaving out there. Was it even safe for her to go out? Mom and dad said to stay inside because they didn't want her to catch a cold or something...she hadn't been outside in a while because of all the rain, and it seemed she wouldn't get that chance today, either. Boo! "Speech"

Rainy days like these were great for spending time indoors and doing activities, but they weren't so awesome when all you wanted to do was be outside. Ember had put off her morning runs for how many day now because of the rain? Ugh, the girl was getting restless and stir crazy! Pacing around the castle halls like she were a ghost haunting them, the midnight-black wolf was practically wearing a rut in the floors. She needed some kind of activity or game before she lost her marbles completely! Descending down the stairs, Ember was a bit surprised to find the foyer doors pulled open given how hard the rain was coming down outside, but when she spotted the little pup Avalon sitting in the doorway gazing outside, she understood. The pup wanted to go outside too. Unfortunately for the both of them, it seemed like the Austral winter weather had other ideas for them...

Pausing on the landing and pouting as she considered what she could do to make the girl's day a bit better, Ember eventually settled on an idea. She grinned as she descended the last of the stairs and came padding up behind Avalon, leaning in to gently nudge the girl's shoulder with her own where she sat. "Hey little lady, why the frown? The rain got you down too?" Ember asked the smaller pup. As if to prove a point, a flash of lightning and a clap of thunder came like a warning from the gods to stay inside. Ember puffed up her chest and huffed back at the miserable weather before turning a smile down to Avalon. "Well, if we can't go outside, how'd you like to play a game with me inside instead?"
