Going Apeshit
XL Opponent Fight
Whaaaat in the hell was that thing? As Bowen traversed the natural floor of the valley, a hulking black and silver form came rushing from the dense, emerald foliage. The strange creature opened its mouth, flashing wickedly long teeth as it raised up and beat on its chest. Bowen's eyes went wide and she leaped away from the beast. Never in all of her life had she seen such a thing!
What she would later find out to be called a gorilla, sprinted at her. It was deceptively fast, but Bowen was small and much faster. The beast lifted a log and threw it at the caramel and cream fae, but Bo dodged effortlessly. Her small form cut through the grass, zigzagging until she came in close to the angry silverback. It wanted a fight and she would give it one. Or, at least enough of one to let it know not to screw with wolves. Teeth bit into one thick calf muscle and the gorilla rounded on her, quickly forcing Bowen to release her hold and skitter away. She needed reinforcements.
Caedes observed the confrontation between Bowen and the gorilla with a meager bit of interest, his emerald eyes analyzing the unfolding skirmish with clinical precision. The fae's agility and her determination were impressive, he supposed, but Caedes knew that the gorilla's brute strength posed a significant threat to her life. She could not hold out forever.
Bowen dodged the gorilla's attack and retaliated with a swift bite to its calf. She was holding her own for now, but Caedes could see she would be easily overpowered. That boy, Cadaver, was it? Was here, again in the line of fire. Launching himself at the gorilla’s flank, biting its hinds to distract it away from the small woman. Without a word, Caedes began to move towards Bowen's position, his movements never wasting energy. Always precise. He charged forth, metal capped teeth sinking into the ape’s side, shaking and forcing his weight into it – trying to push it.

Some may believe that being small was a detriment, but it allowed Bowen to be quick and precise in her movements. With the approach of the boy and the same man that she had wanted to take a bite out of, it allowed Bowen the time and space to rush in from different angles, delivering a flurry of bites in various places. The gorilla roared out its anger, raising its fists and thumping them down on the ground in fury while simultaneously trying to sink its massive teeth into the rust and snow blur. All to no avail.
As Caedes gripped the ape's side, Bowen latched onto one thick leg, pulling hard in an attempt to topple the gorilla onto the ground. The big males should be able to hold the beast down enough to keep it prone. With the ape on the ground, Bo seized the opportunity to fly up beneath the beasts chin, latching her jaws around its throat and squeezing down with every bit of her strength.
Caedes kept his grip, his skull shaking and his weight still forcing the gorilla to bend to his will. He registered a new tug on their quarry, and he readjusted his footing to accommodate. He could see out of the corner of his eye that Cadaver was there, fighting to keep his own hold on the beast. Good lad. And then, the blur of movement as Bowen moved over the gorilla.
He knew it immediately. Bowen went for the gorilla's throat. With his teeth still lodged, Caedes intensified his assault, rending into the creature's flesh. Unrelenting. If he were to give her the final blow, it would be because his efforts allowed it.

Teeth stayed lodged firmly in the apes throat and Bowen could feel the life force draining. The two big boys held the silverback well enough that it didn't pound against her or shake her loose. It was undeniable teamwork that was allowing them to fell such a ferocious opponent.
Bowen's skull lashed back and forth, tearing great furrows in the gorilla's throat. A wash of blood poured over her face and she knew that she'd hit something vital. Not that it mattered. The ape was so oxygen deprived that it was more dead than alive. Now it was really dead. With the certainty that the gorilla would die, Bowen released her hold and stepped back, watching as the green, green valley turned red with their combined efforts.
As the gorilla roared in pain and rage, thrashing wildly in an attempt to shake Cadaver and Caedes off. It only succeeded in bringing itself to the brink of exhaustion. So as Bowen went for the creature's throat, Caedes relished in its sweet yet fading whimpers of pain as the scent of blood filled his nares.
He released his hold as Bowen delivered the finishing blow, the gorilla falling to the ground, defeated in a heap of hair and muscle. Caedes looked at the mess with no betrayal of his emotions, offering nothing to the pair as he moved on with a ripple of muscle.
