Sweet little Selkie had shown an interest in pack politics. She'd asked questions regarding various interactions with other packs, visiting dignitaries and whatnot. Chimera, being the supportive father that he was, decided that he would support whatever path the girl chose. He would give her the information necessary to make decisions for her future.

Now that they'd claimed the island as their own, Chimera had been hard at work building and working to provide proper housing for those that chose to live there. It was mandatory for the children to live on the island until they were older, but everyone else had free reign of the three territories.

Having just crafted a den in the sandy soil of the inner island, Chimera released a howl, calling for his tiny daughter to come and learn what she could from her old man. While he waited, he continued to put the tree beams in place to hold the entrance firm and sturdy.

"Chimera Klein"

Though she was small, the girl's personality burns brightly. Fiercely. Warmly, too, when it counts. The warmth shines through most of all with her family, truly coming to life around them. Quiet, until you get to know her. Learning how to behave properly was one thing. It felt like dressing up, putting on a costume. With so many masks she could wear... maybe learning how to use them would benefit her.

Moving out to the island had been a welcome change of pace, with no red clay to stain her pale coat. Instead, she gets to hang around in the sun, enjoy the sweet tropical fruits, and play in the waves. A welcome upgrade. In fact, she'd been in the process of picking some mangoes when her father's call rang out. Snagging the best, ripest one to share with him, the girl picked up a little jog.

Delighted gaze landing on the structure that was beginning to take shape, Selkie was quick to Chimera's side. Setting the mango to the side for later, tail wagging. Beaming. "Daddy, look what I brought!" Chirping happily, moving to inspect his project. "Can I help?"

Selkie arrived quickly, a ripe mango clutched between her teeth. Chimera could smell the fruit from where he stood. As the girl showed him the fruit, Chi chuckled, swiping out at the girl to pull her in close. He licked the top of her head right between her ears. "We might need that mango once we're done, and of course you can help. After your lesson."

Chimera rose and motioned for Selkie to come inside with him. He'd already laid down length of tree that had been halved to act as flooring. There were a few furs laid out just for the purpose of resting while he worked and he motioned Selkie to come sit with him. "So you're interested in pack politics, are you? There's a lot to know about the machinations between packs. Do you have any questions in particular?" If she had an area that she wished to learn more information on, he could help with that. Otherwise, they'd have to start at square one.

"Chimera Klein"

Giggling as her father places an affectionate lick between her ears, the girl can't help but wiggle. Wag her tail, bask in the affection, gaze bright and soft. Happily, she bounded after him. Lessons were always exciting, after all.

Moving to sit by her father's side, the girl nods as he questions. "I want to know it all, so I can help you with it some day." Leaning to rest her cheek on her father's shoulder, Selkie is ready to take the whole world in her hands... with some help. Okay, with a lot of help. But that's what dads are for, right?
