Don't Be Mad, But...
Aliana, Nimue

There was a possibility that Aliana would be upset at having yet another child to nurture, but Chimera was absolutely certain that his sweet wife wouldn't turn the girl away. If she somehow went against his expectations and did refuse to raise Nimue, then Chi would house the girl elsewhere. He wouldn't be allowing her to leave the pack, however.
The day was warm, the evening sun shining overhead as though it could be summer instead of autumn. Chimera walked ahead of Nimue, leading the girl to the den that Chimera shared with Aliana and the youngest batch of pups. "Be sure to mind your manners, Nimue. Aliana is very kind." The mouth on the girl... Aliana wouldn't die from a few bad words, but he'd rather have the girl make a good first impression.
"Aliana," the dire brute called out as he neared the den. The day was too nice to be inside, so he seated himself in the sand and indicated that Nimue should do the same.

She’d been enjoying the warmth of the sand beneath her belly, having sprawled out on the beach to enjoy a bit of sunbathing. But dang it, the old man was breathing down her neck again, wanting her to do things and interrupting her alone time. With a little tsk she pulled herself up, following him as instructed to go meet some woman. She must have been pretty important too, because he warned her more than once to be on her best behavior. Yeah yeah. Rolling her eyes, she made sure to stay several paces behind him- analyzing his body and the way he moved, formulating ways she could trip him or knock him over. Of course, she wasn’t going to try any of her musings- she just wanted to keep her mind occupied while they walked, because it helped her control her temper. And it was fun. Approaching a den, Chimera stopped and reminded her again to be good. “I got it the first time, ya know.” She retorted, resisting the urge to roll her eyes again before taking a seat near him. He said she was kind… so what? Not like she was looking for someone to baby her. She didn’t need a new mom. ”Speech” |

Between being a mother thrice over and being Ashen's lead healer, Aliana's paws were almost always full. If she wasn't tending to one of her many young, she was treating the ailments of her pack mates or mixing a new batch of tinctures and decoctions in her apothecary. Tending to the needs of so many wolves had become second nature to the ash and snow queen, and it had long since become her normal. What wasn't within the realm of normal was the call for her from her husband from outside the network of dens. Being nocturnal creatures as Kleins were, for Chimera to be up and about during the day already alerted her that something was out of the ordinary.
Not wanting to keep her king waiting long, Aliana set her chemistry set down carefully so the tinctures could brew and then made her way out into the bright autumn sunlight. Emerging from the den with graceful strides, Ali glanced over to Chimera with a sweet little smile, long legs carrying her small, svelte form towards her behemoth of a brute—and to the stranger he had scowling just behind him. "Chimera, love," she greeted her king with a mellifluous purr to her words, almost melodic in nature. Aquamarine eyes shifted over to the small petite girl he was escorting—or was he holding her prisoner? "Hello, dear. I'm Aliana. What's your name?" Ali spoke directly to the girl, wanting her to have the freedom to introduce herself. She knew Chimera could be an imposing presence, and the girl looked young and out of place, like she was uncomfortable just being here. Something was going on here.
As her mate, Chimera may enter any thread Aliana is in.

As his clouded queen emerged from the den, Chimera's serious expression peeled away, leaving one of love and respect upon his handsome face. A smile that met both seeing eyes graced the woman and he nodded to her as she greeted him with her sweet little purr. She really was something, his tiny wife.
Aliana then completely ignored Chimera and turned all of her lovely attention to the young girl that sat scowling behind him. The big brute moved to the side, allowing the pair to see one another clearly. He simply sat and watched, hoping that Nimue would indeed mind her manners as he'd warned her to.

Shifting her weight into her hind end, Nimue was prepared to be waiting around for a bit- or to spring up and run off if she needed to. All she knew was that the woman was ‘very kind’, but that didn’t mean she couldn’t turn on Nimue and try to rough her up. Of course, that was Nimue’s insecurity talking - Chimera had shown her a lot of grace and kindness during her stay, despite how feisty she’d been. But she couldn’t ignore her apprehension about this new life, as she believed Chimera had an ulterior motive for claiming her that day. Probably just a perv. Which was why she stayed so guarded and on edge. After a minute or so, the woman emerged from the den- and the first thing Nimue noticed was the plant smell that clung to her pelt. Yuck. She didn’t care about herbs and stuff- leave all that nonsense for the brainiacs of the world. Next, was how small she was- still taller than Nimue, but petite nonetheless. Her pelt was interesting too- it reminded Nimue of the snowy rockface of a mountain. Last, was her eyes- bright blue and a stark contrast to her monochrome pelt. And boy, she seemed mitten by Chimera- rushing over to him purring at him out of adoration. Gross. She’d just rolled her eyes when Aliana started speaking to her, introducing herself and asking for her name. Chimera also stepped out of the way, so the two could look at each other. And after a few moments of eyeing Aliana, Nimue spoke up. “Nimue Vasanti.” The tone of her voice made it clear that she was prideful of her sire name, wanting it to be known that she'll never give it up. Glancing between the two of them, she suddenly felt awkward. What was this meeting for anyway? ”Speech” |
