Alternate realities [Zara/aw]

The cloaks of death rode on hallow grounds. The scythe that cut the world to shreds gently carried the sinner along the bloody red road. The fractures of dreams and life slipped freely from her parted jaws. The beating of a kingdoms heart still clung to its very ivory prison. Violet eyes sang with truth, as the light seemed to flicker in an abandon shell. Consciousness had slipped the moment words were broken and agreements were turned to ashes. A life had been forfeit and so the mind did break. What turned the wheels to her strings? Made the master withdraw her all together and leave the shell of a murder wandering the path of justice alone? No, she had not stolen a life with ill intent. Her nobility was not to be questioned. She had painted the scene before them before the swords had clashed. Set in stone the rules of engagement and the opposing force had committed treason. So why the puppet master came out to play was beyond her comprehension. She followed the road to her redemption. Where the kingdom of thorns and roses awaited her. It was a new world to be given life. With blood, manipulation, and deception. They would paint the world that everyone wanted. She would be the face upon the throne. She would give the orders and keep her mind at bay, so long as her master was in the shadows breathing it all into her lovely ears. The burning lights of dimming worlds stirred as the aroma of home clicked into her memories. This was where she had carried the traditions. Where she had spoken words to those beneath her. Now, those ears and lives belonged to her. She would demand their loyalty if they chose to remain with in the Realm of Lentajin. The strings fell as she touched the new realms grounds. The light that had faded found clarity once more as the monster walked the outskirts of her new home. She pushed along the bushes, marked what ever she touched, and claimed this world as her own. A new wonderland for her to rule along side her master. She wondered if Zara had found her way home. To the kingdom she had sent the ghost of death to claim in her honor. She had brought with her the proof of her accomplish. Her body adorned in the gore and blood of the broken queen but most importantly the heart that she had so thoughtfully stolen. The smell of water called to her. She pondered on if she would wash away the evidence of her execution or allow the aroma of death and Sade to stain her fur for her master to witness. Something else lingered in the depths of her being. It was a small flicker of orbs in the dark abyss waiting to find their hearts. Their songs would find the world soon enough and the madness that infected her would bypass the next generation for they had not witness the tragedy that had broken their mothers mind to begin with |

Such simple little things, all were taken for granted by the once powerful female. Vision was clouded; the female moving with eyes barely open and she couldn't help but realize that this would soon be her life. Her entire existence would soon be darkness. Now she walked without a purpose, head hung low and body seeming to stagger under the weight of itself. Her fight with Rook had left her in a dire state, the scruff of her neck still bleeding heavily from deep gouges and blood sliding from the bone deep lacerations on her face and skull. But she had left Rook at the battlefield after they had gone together to see the outcome of the battle. Sade's body... A cruel smile slithered across her lips as she thought of it, the fact that that may be the final thing she ever saw sitting fine with her. The fallen leader had abandoned them and then come back to disgrace Zara and look where that had gotten her. A foreign sound rippled up her throat and she caught herself mid cackle, expression of shock at the sound that had just escaped her lips was soon replaced by that sly smile again. She had to find Newt, congratulate her and thank her deeply. Without this mammoth of a woman Zara would have been lost. They had only been apart a day and already Zara's head swam in a thick fog. Coherent thought could occasionally be plucked from the lazy stream but often Zara felt too numb to chase after them. What was the point anymore?
There was no howl, no call or vocalized pleading for her presence but Zara felt the pull none the less, the gentle tug of a mirrored soul that needed her as much as she needed it. Step took a new purpose as she staggered her way towards the boarder of their lands, the river that she had called every meeting too. That river that sang sweet nothings to her and called her back to herself. Slowly she dragged herself out of the fog, eyes blinking rapidly to try and rid her vision of that haze but it remained and slowly it dawned on her. Even though the blood was forcing her to keep her eyes closed it wasn?t the blood that was making her vision so bad. So she had inherited the blindness from their mother? It was only a matter of time now, and somehow as this realization dawned on her she decided that she didn?t want Sade?s mangled corpse to be the last thing she saw clearly. She had heard of so many beauties in this land and had yet to see any of them. Maybe she would find Lux and ask the female to go with her and share them all. She would have to leave Newt here by herself to rule for the time being, would that be wise? Did it matter anymore? The constant shift in power had left Lentajin severely weakened and no doubt most of their members had fled. Funny how Sade had drilled it into Zara that leaving the pack was punishable by death? Then she herself had left and now so many others had left. Would they have to hunt them down?
Time would tell?
Newt gargantuan frame came into sight and that easy smile slid across the female?s lips once more as she almost fell as she neared. She would need to rest for a few days? ?My lovely, my dearest? What presents have you brought me?? she purred as she finally came to sit beside Newt, unable to see or smell the gift help preciously in the female?s jaws. Eyes were kept closed; she would wait to speak to the female before taking the time to clean herself up and make herself look presentable. They had both come from their own battles; no doubt Newt was as beat up as Zara was. Zara had always believed that Sade had been a worthy opponent if they had ever been able to fight. The scarred female wondered for a brief moment what kind of damage was done to Newt, but held back from reaching out with her maw to investigate. She would wait to wash the blood from her eyes and nose to see and smell it instead of touching it. Touching with Newt was always a painful process, something that promised the taste of blood and the parting of flesh beneath fangs. That would be for later, a parting gift between two souls that would be a promise for more to come. Zara would need a clear mind to do what she wanted to do and Newt would need some clarity to run this pack in the meantime.

Realities twisted and warped as she walked the path of her violent struck high. She could feel it pulling at her mind. Death was so easy, so final. How many lives had she taken, too many and not enough? She could feel her strings pulling as if the master had grasped the handle and tugged. She moved in response to the pull and soon her master had found her. Her violet eyes roved over the condition her master was in. Her lips rose around her gift as a rumble pulled from the depths of her belly. It was a soundless question. Who the fuck had done this to her? Whose head needed to roll? Yet her master seemed content in a way and she was confused on what to do or say. She had come back with nothing more then a few bruises and a bite on her rump. She sniffed her master carefully but said nothing as she questioned what presents she brought her. She allowed her head to fall towards the ground. The muscles pulled and groaned from the fading affects of her battle. She released the trophy and licked the drying blood from her jaws. The little queen was dead. She saw everything. The way her eyes remained shut, the blood that cloaked her body, she was so envious of the battle she had endured. She would have given anything to leave so far broken that she couldn?t find the good flesh from the ripped. ?I bring you life, or death rather, the object that pumped the life into the fallen queen.? She said with sadness. She hadn?t wanted to kill Sade like that. She had wanted the battle to end and keep the little queen in her grasp. She had much to learn of the ways of this kingdom and she needed guidance. ?I see you broke bloody bread with someone.? She said simply, she began to lick the blood from Zara?s face. The taste was old and bitter and held traces of someone else. She knew not who they were now but if she tasted that blood again she would know them. ?Did they leave as broken as you?? she asked, she wanted to know if the bitch that had hurt her was broken and bleeding just like her. If she got away with minor injuries well her life was on the line. If the ever met the bitch that had hurt her master it would be a scary day for that wolf. The thick clutching blood would have to be washed away by water but she could groom her master as best as she could. She wanted to at the least alleviate some of her discomfort. Grooming was just as much for cleaning as it was for reassurance. |

The large woman sat beside her even larger companion, head hanging slightly as she allowed the blood to continue to trickle down her face. Though the bleeding was slowing it was still fairly bad, she had left before allowing Rook to help her the way the she had helped her opponent. Her desire to see her anchor, her rock had been overwhelming and she had staggered off before Rook had been able to stop her. She could hear the rumble that rolled out of Newt?s throat but Zara could barely scrounge up the energy to smile at the sound never mind lift her head to cast a look at her faithful companion. She could hear and feel Newt sniffing at her but soon enough Newt lowered her head and allowed the organ to drop to the ground. Zara?s smile widened as she lowered her head further to investigate the present. A heart? More specifically Sade?s heart?
Newt?s words whispered thought Zara?s mind as she forced herself to straighten a bit more. ?What would I do without you? she said softly, voice barley above a whisper. Head tilted slightly as Newt commented on her current state, then proceeded to lick the blood from her face. It was helpful and slowly eyes began to open as Newt freed the crusty blood from her face. She would need to wash more but it was helpful and oddly comforting. Was the other one as broken? ?I called Rookshank for a challenge. I had to patch her up near the end; her chest was torn open. I could see the bone?? she said with a half hearted chuckle. Did she want Newt to kill Rook anymore? No, they had fought it out and ripped each other up and sorted it out.
?Newt I need to leave for a while? I can?t tell you how much I need you to stay strong for me and lead this pack until I return?? she said softly, tilting her head slightly as Newt continued to groom the impurities from her face. ?I think I?m going blind and I realized that I haven?t seen any of these lands, I want to see what I can.? she said softly, forcing herself to lift her head up and turn her gaze towards the massive female. She would take Newt with her if she could but someone needed to keep everything in line while she was gone. Newt was a bit off her rocker but she was loyal and she had a good head on her shoulders when she applied herself. Though their meetings had been brief and limited Zara could already not imagine a life without this female. Even the thought of a few weeks away hurt but she honestly felt that this was what she needed to do.

Her world had frozen for a moment. She was finding stability and now it was cracking at the seams. Why did she have to go? Couldn?t she come with her? The thought of another unknown was too much to bear and she shook her head to rid herself of it. No, she was making her roots here. She was pregnant, or at least she thought she might be, it was still too early to tell. Kaios and she had coupled and she was unsure what the consequences would be. She was certain that if she had retained pups then she would not see hide nor hair of the wolf. New blood could be good for the pack and as long as Zara came back she could handle things. At least she hoped she could. ?How long will you be gone?? she almost whined it. However, she kept her voice from breaking. She didn?t want her Master to see her falling apart. Her world was fading to black and the plans would change. She couldn?t rule the pack like this but she could whisper her desires in her ear. They could still do it together and Cerberus knew she needed the guidance. ?What will I do? So many have gone and I know not the wolves that call this place home. Whom do I accept and whom do I enslave for trespassing?? she asked with a tilt of her head. So man questions riddled her poor mind. She had never been an alpha even if she was perfectly groomed for the role. Her father had once been the king of a realm and now he was gone. Just erased from her mind like ashes on the wind. She?d never remember that smell. ?I. I?ve never done this. Never been more then just a slave. How can you be sure I can do this? Why. Why now must you leave me? The roses and thorns still call to me but I am to remained locked in the confines of my realm. Its hard to deny its call to me. to the other world that wishes id remember but I do remember just not enough.? She said with frustration. She was always on the edge of the world. Always lost in some small or big way. How could she manage without her Master to guide her? ll the wolf who released the bitch?? she asked, her head tilting to the side ever so slightly. Her violet eyes had filled with her usual manic appearance and her head slowly turned towards the sound from the distance. Her mind swelled as confusion settled in her head again as an unknown source came into play. They were both from this world, this unknown world, that she was forever fucking trapped in. no one had explained to her that she had found her way on her own. She had simply assumed that she had blinked into existence here leaving her king of thorns behind. Her master. "?So the world has ears all around us. I wonder what those ears have heard. Do they come for entertainment or steal the quarry from the hunters open jaws?? who ever took her mattered not to her, take her together, as long as she felt her blood fall and kiss the ground around her. Yet time was running thin. The puppet master had been busy at work, adjusting her strings, and waiting for the moment to trip her back into a panicked state. So many unknowns grew in this day and it was only a matter of time before she broke to the pressure. Then the pain wouldn?t be what she wanted but to inflict it. To release the fear in someone other then herself and they would all bleed then. |
