He was getting increasingly irritated. His normally fierce visage was usually softened by his typical warm demeanor. Not today. He was scowling, and snarling while he tried to groom his ruffled chest. The irritating pinch in his left armpit felt like it had multiplied overnight. It had spread to his other armpit.
Eltrys couldn't get his back foot to reach inside his armpit to scratch whatever was going on in there. He thought it might have been some stick or stone that had lodged itself there on a hunt but it hadn't gone away in a week, and he had tried bathing in the creek, then in the falls, tried scrubbing whatever it was on some stones and reeds but alas... he couldn't do this by himself anymore.
He trodded gainfully through the creek and up to the falls. He had never encountered this type of irritation before. He scowled. He sat. He did not want to call a healer and invite them to invade his personal space. With a huff, he skirted the falls and padded away to what he hoped would be a somewhat secluded spot off the beaten path.
He sat again. He sat in a small space between several trees, half hidden by a fragrant bush and some lush ferns. He tried again to get his back foot under his arm to scratch it. He tried to bend his head to try and reach it. Huff. Grumble.
He lifted his low baritone voice to the sky for the first time in Ethne. It was short, it called for a healer, non-urgent. Grumble. Huff. he continued to try and scratch his armpit on the bark of a tree waiting for the healer to arrive.
