In the shadow of the mangroves, Idris was happy. The sun was incapable of beating down on him here amongst the grass and the water. Lounging in their camp they had setup the other day, Idris works tediously at his next project. Dragging the large corpse from the delta once the stranger agreed that he wanted nothing to do with it, Idris had set to work skinning and tanning the scaly hide from the massive reptile. With a flat, sharpened rock, he was able to careful peel away the skin and successfully keep the large, curved talons in tact. His first task was to remove the front hands from the legs without damaging the parts he needed. Having scoured the area for some bits and pieces of metal that had been embedded into the sandy embankments over time, he was able to mold them into usable clasps. The mangrove is comfortable, shady, lovely. Pretty, the way the sunlight filters through the trees and dapples the ground. It's among the pretty landscape, that he finds himself settled, working out their next move. Getting a rough lay of the land and the weather, and sorting out just how they'd make themselves at home on this giant chunk of rock.

So much thinking would only serve to give him a headache in time. Coming up for air, coming up from his plans, Matija drifts to examine Idris's project instead. It's a curious inspection, careful, taking in the komodo dragon with narrowed eyes. As his brother cuts away the creature's hands, Matija seizes the carcass. Holds it carefully, holds it still. "Less wiggling, for you." Though he'd taken the less labor-intensive job, at least he could say he's helping.

Idris knows Matija is in the vicinity but his brother is on his own tasks. No reason to bother the other man if he were busy. There is a frustration in his expression though as he lets out a rumbling growl. The skin of the komodo dragon is rather loose and proving to be difficult to cut through with the sharp rock he's obtained. Near ready to chuck the thing across the clearing, he's almost surprised by his brother's appearance over the corpse. Looking up from his project, he gives his brother a gentle, tender smile before reaching over to lick Matija's muzzle. "Fortunately for Cambria, I prefer them to be alive when they wiggle," he muses as he makes a very crude necrophilia joke. Turning his attention back to his project, with his brother's help, he is able to remove the hands from the komodo dragon. "Just need to make it so I can wear them on my own paws. Fancy meeting my wrath with these claws, hm?" Idris smirks, holding up one of the severed hands to show off the long, curling claw to Matija.
