It was a warm day, the perfect sort for having a good snack and snooze in the sun. Bellamy had gone to the stores, selecting a large hunk of okapi for herself, and a packmate if they happened along, to share. She had also grabbed a small sling for some eggs from the chickens, and once she had made her selections had gone off to where she could rest under one of the trees within the territory of the falls. It was rare that she would allow herself such a moment, but with everything going on lately the woman feels that she needs it. She needs to unwind, and be a bit gentler on herself. She turns to one of the eggs and carefully cracks it open with her teeth before lapping at the tasty treat inside.

"Speech," 'Thought.'

"Speech!"
Oh he was so good at this! He was gonna get a snack and his grandma wouldn't even know where it went! He was belly crawling, though his heavy breathing was likely giving the obese teen away. His tail was wagging so fast too. He'd seen her going into the chicken coop and had decided he wanted some snacks too! Chicken eggs sounded good but that hunk of okay sounded even better!

His jowls were dripping with drool just at the thought. He knew everyone seemed sad, and the best way to not be sad was just to be happy and be with family. Duh! Grandma seemed most sad. He'd not really seen her much except in passing and asking his dad and mom who she was but all they'd tell him was that she was his grandma and that she was sad so he should leave her alone. How dumb was that? He knew he was a dumb though, baecette told him so!

He scooted forward and stretched his legs until his paws touched the meat then he stretched his neck until his teeth were nibbling on the meat. His pelt was barely touching hers, so there was no way she could tell he was stealing some!

The egg is good, and as Bellamy tastes the yummy treat she notices Ikuchi sneaking up alongside her to get at the meat. Poor lad, he likely thinks that he is being sneaky, but Bellamy can see his every move and endeavor. Deciding to play along, the woman hums softly, stretching out with a bit of a yawn. “Mmm, what a beautiful day.” She purposefully let her gaze wander away, though she kept a watch on him from out of the corner of her eye as she carefully rolled the remainder of the shell away from her body.

“This is the sort of day that is best for spending time with family.” She was watching to see how Ikuchi would respond as he realized Bellamy wanted the company. “It sure would be nice if one of my grandchildren came along. I’ve got too much food here to eat on my own… whatever am I going to do?” She smiles a little, the corners of her lips coming up. Though she was trying to play along, she couldn’t help but reveal she knew he was there. All Ikuchi had to do now was make himself “known” so he could have however much food he wanted.
