Busy as Bees

With the season progressing, she'd need to start prepping the bee boxes for the winter. They'd gotten a good honey harvest from them, but she had made certain they had time after to build their own stores back up to last them even the harshest winter. It had been a good year for them, and she'd been pleased to see that they'd managed to refill the boxes so well - she wouldn't have to keep back any honey to supplement them after all, and she'd be able to split it between making new batches of mead, having some at hand for medical usage, and just for normal every day uses as well. Today she'd set out to do one last hive inspection, and had a little fire going ready to set the smoke pot to smoldering as she prepared her gear.
