It felt good to feel good again. Back to her normal self, she had spent a lot of time holed up with Phantasm and Terror and felt like her other children were probably missing their mother. Even if they weren't, she fully intended on forcing them into a little chit chat at least, just to see how they'd been doing and if there was anything they needed that she could provide. She didn't doubt that at least one of them was upset or even angry with her, but hopefully their fire would quickly be quelled once they got out their frustrations.
Walking around in search of her children, or at least one of them, she was certain she would find one out on the Dancefloor hunting or stalking something or someone, or perhaps even enjoying the cool autumn sun and taking a pleasant nap. Either way, she certainly couldn't walk around without finding one of them somewhere, right?
"Speech!"

When his mother Widow, had disappeared, Gru had been more than a little worried. However, when the pup had learned that she and Terror were missing… well, the young boy had practically been beside himself. A kernel of fear had embedded itself in his stomach and, as the days pass, it festered and grew until the young pup could hardly eat because he didn’t know where his other half was. Trying his best to keep his tortured mind occupied, the normal fat, now growing lean pup, is out in the grassy Dancefloor… hunting.
Well, maybe not properly hunting but the boy is determined to catch something. Nose is in the grass, sniffing and snorting as he tries to find the different scents and pull out one that he recognizes. However, as he searching for something to hunt, he finds instead, a scent he hasn’t smelled in weeks. Eyes widen in surprise as his head shoots up, excitement, worry, and a need to know swirling in his chest as Gruesome rockets forward, racing across the space that separates him from his once missing mother.
Pale blues find her walking ahead of him and the little ball of frantic energy barrels up from behind her to slam forcefully into one of her back leg. His own, shorter legs immediately snap around Widow’s appendage as the pup bear hugs her, not intending to trip her up but possibly doing just that in the process. As he hugs the absolute shit out of her leg as the boy practically shouts, “MOM! Where were you? Is Terror okay?! Please tell me Rory is okay. I couldn’t find him!” Anxiety tints his voice as he questions her, not relinquishing his hold until he is absolutely certain she isn’t going to disappear again.

Unaware of Gruesomes approach until he had wrapped himself around her, she gasped in shock but smiled down at the larger twin. In a way, it felt good to be missed. She just wished she they didn't have to miss her, that she didn't have to go into quarantine in the first place. She could imagine how scared for Terror he was, as Terror often mumbled about Gruesome in their sleep.
It didn't really surprise her that Gruesome was calling Terror him. She suspected that there was something going on there but didn't press it or even mention it while he was sick. Instead she had tried to remain neutral in a way to prevent from offending them. Though if Terror preferred male pronouns, she wondered while he hadn't said anything. Perhaps she would need to instigate the conversation and put any fears to rest. Widow loved her children all the same, and who was she to tell them who they could and couldn't be... who they could and couldn't love?
"Terror is just fine, my love, don't worry," she said with a smile and turned to pull her growing son into a warm embrace. "Probably resting in the family den, I'd imagine," she finished, knowing she had told them to do exactly that but perhaps Terror was out looking for Gruesome instead. She wouldn't be surprised, honestly.
